watching the video, i see someone who's pacing around an empty room, unable to sit still as he's asked to hold on for a moment. impatience grows. he walks out of the room, controlling the situation and going after the answer himself. he's emotionless as someone moves around him. he acknowledges the presence, but doesn't really sees them. he's focused in one thing only. he walks up and down, from room to room, looking for something. someone. whatever that is. and yet, when someone finally finds him, he looks at them over his shoulder. unsure. paranoid. afraid. suspicious of this stranger who's keeping the distance while walking along with him. and then, they're finally face to face. watching each other. seeing each other. "have a nice day". a nice, simple gesture that actually turns into an attack. so now he's running away, falling down the stairs, spiraling. crashing. everytime he's touched, he's fighting back. avoiding. trying to get away. until they both crash. and he's finally left alone. he's got time to catch a breath. the other person is walking away. limping. hurt. and so now he is the one chasing them. moved by anger, ready for a fight. ready to crash again. except he's welcomed with accepting arms. he's lifted up, and now he isn't fighting back. so he's flying around and feeling the joy. they dance together. in sync. through it all. sometimes he's a step forward, sometimes they are side to side. sometimes he bites, sometimes he's thrown around. through all the up and downs, the cartwheels, the piruettes. they're now together. in sync. and so now when he's back upstairs and walks into his room, he's not pacing around anymore. he's not impatient. he's not waiting for something else to happen. or for an answer. the room is still empty, but he's relaxed now. and he's still alone, but he's okay with that. he's all together. complete. on his own.
omg ik i just vomited my thoughts very randomly and they might not make sense (lol), but i truly truly truly love this concept. and i love it bc you can apply absolutely any interpretation you wish to it.
like for me it's all about ourselves as individuals. personally. the inner battles and the way we need to accept our different versions in order to be okay with ourselves. the good and bad. all together. i read it as my own thoughts battling each other until they finally find a way to live in sync, despite the differences and difficulties.
but i can also see it as letting other people in. as opening up, instead of running away. as being vulnerable. which is just as important. or even a complement of what ive just said.
so yeah, like i said, i love the concept. i also love the execution. and i also really love the dancing.
could get into the lyrics as well bc i think they match everything so well !!! but this got way too long already so i wont lol. anyway i cant help it bc as usual anything thats visual and puts music, dancing and acting together to tell a story makes me very passionate and excited to get deep into it. so yeah, v happy with this "comeback" 🫶 imo he's done a really good job at leaving it open for the imagination! at least for now!!
