So, I’ve been sent a lot of hate messages that called me ‘disgusting’ and ‘unrealistic’, and a bitch and some other nasty little names because I said I don’t support LGBTQ, but I’ll always be kind and stay friends with people no matter what. Guess that’s the shocking headline of the week.I do understand why some of you unfollowed me. If my beliefs don’t align with yours, that’s completely fair — you deserve to curate your space in a way that feels safe and true to you. I respect and understand that choice.But here’s the thing: I’m not going to abandon my beliefs just because they’re unpopular. I will stand by them. At the same time, I will continue to treat everyone with respect and kindness, because disagreement doesn’t have to equal hate.I’d rather be called unrealistic than be fake about what I believe. You don’t have to agree with me to deserve respect, and I don’t have to agree with you to give it.So if being kind while standing firm makes me ‘unrealistic,’ then I’ll gladly keep being unrealistic, because in a world that thrives on division, I’d rather choose respect.

I really know how you feel; the majority of my friends here left me, and one or two people even tried to kick me out of the tmnt fandom just because I don’t support lgbtq. The thing is, people are selfish, and don’t care about you if you don’t agree.

WORLD, HERE THIS.

One of the only physical friends I have currently

has dark brown skin

is a democrat

supports lgbtq

I, on the other hand;

have very bright peach skin

am a republican

and do NOT support lgbtq

but you know what?

WEVE BEEN FREINDS FOR FOREVER, AND NEITHER OF US COULD CARE MORE ABOUT HOW THE OTHER IS OR WHAT THEY BELEIVE/STAND FOR! WE JUST LOVE EACH OTHER LIKE SISTERS, AND I DONT THINK THAT THAT WILL CHANGE ANY TIME SOON.

THATS what kindness and love are.

Yknow, my Dad said that the highest reason for people my age to commit suicide at my age is because of internet hate.

Yeah.

So, here’s my bit.

Why don’t we put our differences aside, and share some GOSH DARN LOVE!!!!!

….I’m just rambling here, but this is I important, and you shouldn’t be getting CRAPPED ALL OVER, JUST BECAUSE YOU DONT SUPPORT SOMETHING!!!

But she's right and idk why the world has such a hard time believing that people can disagree with certain choices you make and still love you

And @87tmntlover is right its totally fair to unfollow someone because their views don't align with you nothing wrong with that but here's where the problem comes in its when you belittle that person that doesn't agree with you and call them these names and I know before somebody goes

"Oh my gosh its just a name calling get over it"

You have no idea what that name means to the person

Also it doesn't make it right to call them names or bully them simply because they don't agree with that stuff

Long story short My sister is not wrong it is and it is leading cause of suicide and tbh the day I came to my mom about my problems and things and whatever is the day she let me get a tumblr I thought being part of a fandom with people that like the same thing would be amazing

But boy was I wrong

I understand that the lgbt movement is supposed to be a message of love....then why is it when someone speaks out against what they believe is wrong you tell them (minors and young adults mind you) to go kill themselves and burn in hell? What does that do for you?...for anyone for that matter nothing.......

why on the actual planet is a fandom for an adult show about gay demons LITERALLY fine with our beliefs being different and respect that and a fandom for a show meant for 10-13 YEAR OLDS up in arms about it

(BTW I'm well aware that there are actual homphobes in these communities that actually hate these people and no that's not right at all my problem is when that term is so loosely thrown around it now seems to mean anyone who disagrees with the lgbt group?)

To all the lgbtq people out there who didn't get scared away from my blog and are reading this just because we do not agree with some choices you make does not mean we hate you or think its appropriate to like hate you or harass you and all that stuff

It also doesn't make it right for you to harass us for having different beliefs then you nor does it make it right to bully minors because they went on a rant on their blog about their beliefs or beliddle someone who admitted she made a wrong and was called by the Lord to fix it or call people freaking b*tches because they said they can disagree with the choices ypu make and still love you

We are told our path isn't going to be easy and it certainley isn't BUT we do know that Christ is there to hold our hand every step of the way keep strong sisters and remember He holds the future in His hand

You are all beautiful brave and strong and standing up for what we believe in can be hard and it can be discouraging but remember Christ was abandoned by His own family for what He believed in

There will come a day when our trials will be more than a stabbing word in America I pray then that we will have the courage to stand up for our faith and beliefs when its our life on the line too
