अष्ट सिद्धि नौ निधि के दाता I अस बर दीन जानकी माता II

Lord Hanuman not only possesses all eight Siddhis, but is also blessed by Goddess Sita as “Ashta Siddhi Nau Nidhi Ke Daata,” means one who can bestow Astha Siddhis upon others.

(1) Anima:- Reducing his physical self even to the size of an atom (smallest of small) by means no one can see Hanumanji through eyes. As narrated in Sunder Kand of Ramcharitmanas,

सत जोजन तेहिं आनन कीन्हा। अति लघु रूप पवनसुत लीन्हा॥

मसक समान रूप कपि धरी। लंकहि चलेउ सुमिरि नरहरी॥

सीता मन भरोस तब भयऊ। पुनि लघु रूप पवनसुत लयऊ॥

As stated in Hanuman Chalisa,

सूक्ष्म रूप धरि सियहिं दिखावा॥

When God is in front of his bhakt and suddenly vanishes, this happen by using Anima Siddhi because human being cannot see Lord by his eyes like atom cannot be seen by normal human being eyes. So devotee commonly understand that Bhagwan disappear from in front of him.

(2) Mahima:- Growing his physical self to incredibly large size. As characterized in Sunder Kand,

जस जस सुरसा बदनु बढ़ावा। तासु दून कपि रूप देखावा॥

मोरें हृदय परम संदेहा। सुनि कपि प्रगट कीन्हि निज देहा॥

कनक भूधराकार सरीरा। समर भयंकर अतिबल बीरा॥

As represented in Hanumanji Ki Aarti,

लक्ष्मण मूर्छित पड़े सकारे I आनि सजीवन प्रान उबारे II

As per Ramayan story, for lifting Dronachal mountain, God Hanuman enlarge himself means very bigger than mountain, lift and pick up it like any normal human being takes small stone in his hand from ground level.

When his physical size become larger than life proportional energy is also created in body so explained in Hanuman Chalisa as,

आपन तेज सम्हारो आपै I तीनों लोक हाँक तैं काँपै II

बिकट रूप धरि लंक जरावा II

भीम रूप धरि असुर सँहारे II

(3) Garima:- Making his physical self so heavy as immovable by others. As narrated in Vana Parva of Mahabharat,

Once upon a time when Bheema (2nd among five Pandavas) meets Lord Hanuman in the form of an old monkey, at this time God Hanuman uses Garima Siddhi to make his tail so heavy (immeasurable strengthen) that Bheema was not able to move it even for an inch. As declared in Hanuman Chalisa,

रामदूत अतुलित बल धामा II

As noticed in Hanumat Stavan,

अतुलित बल धामं हेम शैलाभ देहं II

(4) Laghima:- Becoming almost weightless. Lord Hanuman is best known for flying in the sky as like his father Vayu Devata. As portrayed in Hanumat Stavan,

मनोजवं मारुततुल्य वेगं जितेन्द्रियं बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम II

उल्लङ्घ्य सिन्धोः सलिलं सलीलं II

As depicted in Hanuman Chalisa,

प्रभु मुद्रिका मेलि मुख माहीं I जलधि लाँघि गये अचरज नाहीं II

लाय सजीवन लखन जियाये II

As per Ramayan story, Shri Hanumanji goes from Lanka to Himalaya, lift whole Dronachal Parvat and come back to Lanka within night means before day break. This episode is the heart of Ramayan and only possible when Lord Hanuman can fly uncountable kilometers with in a moment. This signifies Laghima Siddhi possession of Lord Hanuman.

(5) Prapti:- Being able to obtain whatever Hanumanji wants or desires. He can achieve anything on earth with in a moment. He can understand the languages of animals & birds. He can see future. As designated in Hanuman Chalisa,

जुग सहस्त्र जोजन पर भानू  I लील्यो ताहि मधुर फल जानू  II

Little Hanuman jumped to sky and swallowed Sun by assuming it as sweet fruit (मधुर फल) during his childhood. This proof is enough to tell that he possesses Ashta-Siddhis from his birth.

When Lord Hanuman reached in Lanka, he heard the conversation between birds and find out that Mata Sita was in Ashok Vatika.

Sri Hanumanji can know the desires of any person's mind. He can easily find out what his devotee is really looking for.

No water can immerse him, No fire can burn him, No any weapon can kill him, No any effect of weather change so also called ‘BAJRANG BALI’.

Bhagwan Hanuman is considered in one of the Seven Chiranjeevis on the earth and being immortal living beings means remain alive for a long period or forever by using this Siddhi so signified in Hanuman Chalisa as,

चारों जुग (सत्य युग, त्रेता, द्वापर, कलियुग) परताप तुम्हारा I है परसिद्ध जगत उजियारा II

Shree Hanumanji is able to take any form as said in Sankat Mochan Hanuman Ashtak,

कै द्विज (ब्राह्मणका) रूप लिवाय महाप्रभु I सो तुम दास के सोक निवारो II

(6) Prakamya:- Being able to go/travel wherever he wants or having unrestricted access to all places. He can go to Swarg (Indra) Lok, Vishnu (Vaikunth) Lok, Atal to Patal (Underworld) Lok, Surya (Sun) Lok, Chandra Lok, Brahma Lok and many more Loks rather than Mrityu (Bhu) Lok. As expressed in Hanumanji Ki Aarti,

पैठि पताल तोरी जम कारे I अहिरावन की भुजा उखारे II

As defined in Sankat Mochan Hanuman Ashtak,

बंधु समेत जबै अहिरावन, लै रघुनाथ पताल सिधारो I

जाय सहाय भयो तब ही, अहिरावन सैन्य समेत सँहारो II

Also as per Ramayan story, Sree Hanuman Ji goes to Patal Lok to rescue Bhagwan Shri Ram & Lakshman captured by Ahiravan. To go in Patal Lok is not possible by normal human being even if today but Hanumanji can go by using this Siddhi. Here, he meets his son Makardhwaj (who looks like half Makara & half Vanara).

And as per narrated in Hanuman Bahuk,

भानुसों पढ़न हनुमान गये भानु मन, अनुमानि सिसुकेलि कियो फेरफार सो I

पाछिले पगनि गम गगन मगन-मन, क्रमको न भ्रम, कपि बालक-बिहार सो II

Balak Hanuman went to God Sun to take education in Surya Lok during beginning. This also proves that he possesses Ashta-Siddhis from his childhood.

(7) Ishitva:- Possessing absolute Lordship. Hanumanji is considered as one of the most powerful God in this Kali Yug.

इस कलियुगमें केवल एक हनुमानजी ही सबसे अधिक जाग्रत, साक्षात और चिरंजीवी देव हैं ।

With this Siddhi, Hanumanji can resurrect (re-live) any dead creature (dead-body).

Hanumanji had gained ownership by attaining God's title, achievement of perfection. He had established his possession on the world. As described in Hanuman Chalisa,

जय कपीस तिहुँ लोक उजागर II (Akash, Patal and Pruthvi)

(8) Vashitva:- Being able to control the minds of others.

'Vashitva' means the power to subdue all and whom so ever he can defeat. With the effect of this Siddhi, Shree Hanumanji is ‘Jitendriya’ and controls the mind (mann) hence as explained in Hanumat Stavan,

मनोजवं मारुततुल्य वेगं जितेन्द्रियं बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम II

By this Siddhi he is ‘बाल ब्रह्मचारी’ because he has control over his indriya and his own mann hence called ‘बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम’. There is no any attractions whatsoever of outside world.

25th March, 2018 (Chaitri Sud Naum) is famous festival of RAM NAVAMI in Hinduism of India which is celebrated for birthday of Supreme Personality Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram who is believed seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu and narrated as central figure in India’s 1st Greatest Epic Ramayan.

Adi Kavi Maharshi Valmiki wrote Ramayan in Sanskrit shlokas (in the form of sargas-chapters) years before Lord Ram was born. His each word went right when actual Ramayan happened. He could see future. This was in Treta Yug era.

Goswami Tulsidas wrote Shri Ramcharitmanas in Awadhi, a local dialect of Hindi (in the form of Poem-Choupaiyan-Doha-Chhands) and all Pray-Stuties of Lord Ram which is famous till date. He textured around 500 years ago in running Kali Yug era.

Out of seven kandas, SUNDER KAND-the fifth episode of Tulsidas’s Ramcharitmanas, specifically narrates all about Lord Hanuman Leelas is very popular till date.

11th April, 2017 (Chaitri Purnima as per Hindu calendar) is one of the most important Hindu festival Hanuman Jayanti celebrated for birthday of Chiranjeevi God Hanuman in Hinduism of India.

Hanuman is an ardent devotee of Bhagwan Shri Ram. He is one of the central figures in great Indian Hindu epic Ramayan.

Hanuman was born to the Anjaneri Mountain. His mother Anjana was an apsara who was born on earth due to a curse. She was married to the monkey king Kesari. Valmiki Ramayan states that Anjana performed intense prayers lasting 12 long years to Shiva to get a child. Pleased with their devotion, Lord Shiva granted them the son they sought. Hence Hanuman is the 11th incarnation or reflection of God Shiva himself.

Hanuman is often called the son of deity Vayu (Wind God). Anjana and her husband Kesari prayed Shiva for a child. By Lord Shiva's direction, Vayu transferred his male energy to Anjana's womb. Accordingly, Hanuman is identified as the son of Vayu Devata.

As a child, believing the Sun to be a ripe mango, Hanuman pursued it in order to eat it. Rahu, a Vedic planet corresponding to an eclipse, was at that time seeking out the Sun as well, and he clashed with Hanuman. Hanuman thrashed Rahu and went to take the Sun in his mouth. Rahu approached Indra, the king of heaven, and complained that a monkey child stopped him from taking on Sun, preventing the scheduled eclipse.

This enraged Indra, who responded by throwing the Vajra (thunderbolt) at Hanuman, which struck his jaw. He fell back down to the earth and became unconscious. A permanent mark was left on his chin (hanu "jaw" in Sanskrit), due to impact of Vajra, explaining his name. Upset over the attack, Hanuman's father figure Vayu deva (the deity of air) went into seclusion, withdrawing air along with him. As living beings began to asphyxiate, Indra withdrew the effect of his thunderbolt. All devatas then revived Hanuman and blessed him with multiple boons to appease Vayu.

Hanuman went to Lord Surya for education. Bhagwan Bhaskar replied as a play of the child that I am not stable and without being able face to face, there is no possibility of education. Hanuman positioned his face towards Sun and walk backwards by feet in the sky with pleasure as child’s game and there was no confusion in the course of Ved-Shashtra Ashtra-Shastra etc.

After completing his education, Hanuman wants to repay his guru Surya devata. Though Suryadev tells Hanuman to go back without repaying him anything but Hanuman insists him to ask for his guru dakshina. This is the time when Lord Surya talks about his son Shani who never listens to him and creates problem for everyone. He asks Hanuman if he can make him mend his ways and take in front of him.

Hanuman then enters Shani Lok and request Shani to return to his father. Shani who is too haughty cannot believe the fact that Hanuman could enter his Shani Lok effortlessly. So, he decides to teach Hanuman a lesson. He then climbs on Hanuman’ shoulder and implies all his energy to put an influence on him. However, much to his surprise, it doesn’t affect veer Hanuman in any way.

In fact, Hanuman increases his size so much that poor Shani is caught between the ceiling of the room and Hanuman’s shoulder. Now that the pain becomes unbearable, Shani requests Hanuman to leave him with a promise that he would never trouble anybody who is a Hanuman devotee, moderating all his effects in front of a Hanuman devotee. Hearing this, Hanuman released Shani Dev from his catch and took him in front of Surya.

When Bhagwan Shri Ram left this world to go back to Vaikunth, He asked Hanumanji to remain in this world and continue to chant Ram-Naam i.e. Ramayan so that the world could be benefited by it and that is what Chiranjeevi God Hanuman Dada continues to do to this day!

श्लोक :- 'अश्वत्थामा बलिर्व्यासो हनुमांश्च विभीषणः। कृपः परशुरामश्च सप्तैते चिरंजीविनः॥'

अर्थात् :- अश्वत्थामा, बलि, व्यास, भगवान हनुमान, विभीषण, कृपाचार्य और परशुराम ये सभी चिरंजीवी हैं ।

श्रीहनुमत्-स्तवन (गोस्वामी श्रीतुलसीदास लिखित) :-

यत्र यत्र रघुनाथकीर्तनं तत्र तत्र कृतमस्तकाञ्जलिम् I

वाष्पवारिपरिपूर्णलोचनं मारुतिं नमत राक्षसान्तकम् II

भावार्थ :- जहाँ-जहाँ भगवान श्रीरामचन्द्रजीके नामका कीर्तन और (रामायणकी)- कथा होती है, वहाँ-वहाँ आँखोंमें आँसू भरे हुए और नमस्कारकी मुद्रामें हाथ जोड़कर मस्तकसे लगाये हुए प्रपत्ति भावसे उपस्थित रहनेवाले, राक्षसोंका संहार करनेवाले पवनपुत्र हनुमानजीको में नमस्कार करता हूँ I

व्याख्या :- आज भी जहाँ रामायणकी कथा होती है, वहाँ हनुमानजीके लिए एक अलगसे आसान रहेता है जिस पर रामभक्त हनुमानजी आकर बेठते है और प्रतत्ति भावसे रामायण सुनते है I हनुमानजीको भगवान श्रीरामसे यह वरदान मिला है की अनेक जगहपे एक साथ रामायण श्रवण करनेके लिए अनेक शरीर धारण कर सकोंगे और जब तक इस जगतमें रामायणकी कथा होती रहेगी तुम जीवित रहोंगे अर्थात चिरंजीवी रहोंगे I

87 feet height Sky-High sculpture of Lord Shiva is located at Siddheshwar Dham; Namchi belongs to South Sikkim district in the state of Sikkim, India.

Main Shiva temple is 108 feet in height and atop that sits the gigantic statue of Lord Shiva which is another 87 feet height.

Namchi (or Namtse) is the district headquarters of South Sikkim district in the Indian state of Sikkim. The appellation Namchi means Sky (Nam) High (Chi) in Sikkimese.
