Coming to a stop, it would seem the girl was getting his attention by writing a text message and showing it to him. Why was she…?
“Ah. You can’t talk, can you?” he spoke out as he wondered of something. He already knew one mute in this city. That oddball musician that he still did not know her name. Well, she was trying to communicate with him, so he figured why not? He’d have a little fun. Something to amuse himself. He pulled out his own phone to type out a message to her. Once he revealed the message, it was just a plain and simple ‘Yo’.
Far from being social, the guy just eyed her as he tried to see if he could figure out who she was, exactly. Innocent, a cute smile, and she seemed to have little care in the world. She was out here making flowers all by her lonesome. That … couldn’t be good for her sake. Deciding to try something else, he began to type out another message which now read ‘What are you doing out here, alone? It’s dangerous, kid.’
She chuckled silently at his questioning, however answers were obvious proven by actions. It seemed like he would entertain the both of them, if only it were just temporarily. To most she appeared pitiful, but it wasn’t as if she couldn’t talk at all. She could still talk in the language of sura, sadly none of the inhabitants of this city were capable of such due to lineage. Nearly all were not from her world where it appeared suras only existed.

He was fully capable of actually speaking but chose to type back for her. Shakuntala smiled softly as a means to comfort. Although many of her abilities had been locked away for now, she had lived for hundreds of years.Surely she would have had enough experience by now, although she would have greatly loved to avoid conflict.

He sat at his desk with eyes staring at some paperwork that piled up. He had so much he had to get done, yet his mind was unable to focus. Lack of sleep, nonstop work, and keeping an eye on the inn was becoming more of a nuisance than he cared for. It didn’t help he was still having personal issues. Bothersome, but he would get by. He’s been through worse, after all.
He would stand himself up and walking out the door of the inn to get some fresh air. His eyes were ahead as he wondered just what he would be doing with this small bit of time. There was something he could do about all of this. Hire more help … yet he wouldn’t. Why? … He didn’t know. Probably a bit of fear of screwing up bad or something along those lines.
Brown hues glanced to see a green-haired girl playing along with some flowers. He knew sector six was known for the flowers and vegetation, but he didn’t see the amusement in playing with it. What the hell was she up to? Oh well… she seemed innocent enough. Why worry? It was pleasant to see some good around this hellhole. He said nothing to her and made his way.
