Poem after poem, I wrote about you. How you made me feel, the good and the bad. For three years I went through pain, hoping one day you would be mine.

I wish the thought of him could be erased from my memory.

He’s gone in every aspect but the thoughts.

I let go of him today, blocked and deleted from my life.

Two years ago I would have been doing the same as you.

Crying, anxious, fearful, confused.

I wish I could figure it out.

I thought I could forget you,

I thought he would stay.

But,

Nothing ever lasts,

Except you.

I love you,

I need you.

It feels like a rope

Tightly tied around my heart

Pulling towards you

I want forever

I have no clue what it is

But you are the one

We have never met

But it feels as if we have

Why do I miss him?

It always hurts,

But then again,

He always comes back,

And it’s always the best feeling in the world,

Why do I put myself through this,

It hurts

I miss him.

Nothing can fill the void.

All I can do is wait.

I love him.

I shouldn’t.

But I do.

And it hurts,

Because,

He loves someone else.

I didn’t have to choose,

I wish,

It would all be clear to me,

I need the answers.

But,

They will never come.

So,

I wait,

And I pray,

Please God,

Show me the way.

I thought I was the only one,

Who couldn’t make friends,

Because people my age,

They don’t think the way I do,

There minds aren’t as mature.

But there are others,

People I’ve come to know,

As my closest friends,

People I can trust,

They understand,

That even young people can think as if they were meant to be older.

I have been looking for it everywhere.

No,

Not the type of love you get from family and friends.

The love you feel from finding the one.

I constantly think I have found it.

Boyfriend after boyfriend,

Thinking that was love.

It is not.

Then I met you,

I did not even physically meet you,

But,

I knew it was love.

In the beginning,

I thought it was just a friend I would have for a little,

But then we started dating.

Then you left me for her.

I could have moved on.

I did.

But you were still in my brain.

Why?

You would come back every few months,

Cheat on her.

It’s been two years of this,

Yet for some reason I can’t forget about you.

There is this pain in my heart,

It’s like a rope tied around my heart pulling towards you.

I have a boyfriend now.

Six months to be exact,

But even that did not help,

I still need you,

I always need you.

And,

I do not think this will stop until I can be in your arms.

If I feel this way,

This strong unexplainable feeling.

There has to be a reason,

Is it love?
