Holy shit, you guys, I just read this article about the Jews in Uganda facing severe starvation (along with many other ethnic groups in East Africa). There are only 2,000 Jews total in Uganda and this crisis could potentially wipe them out as a group if we do not help!

Proceeds will go towards helping all 30 million people in East Africa living on the brink of starvation (not just the Abayudaya Jews, though it will certainly help save them, too). 

I have been looking for ways to help, and found that MECA had launched an initiative with a group of young engineers in Gaza to purchase materials, produce and install rechargeable battery-operated systems in homes with lights, fans and a cell phone charging station, etc…

my cousin (who doesnt want to be named for safety reasons) recently moved out of her abusive household with her two half siblings and she needs a little help getting groceries for the three of them. she doesnt start working again for about 3 weeks and the funds she did have are running dangerously low.

I really hate having to do this but my fiancé visceralhorns and I are moving this week and we could use some help. I am recently recovering from an intense bout of anxiety that left me borderline agoraphobic so I couldn’t work this winter or most of the spring. As a result our savings are almost nonexistent at this point and we both have to wait until fall before we can get more hours at work.

Also my computer, which Is important for a couple of my sources of income, is currently broken to add to that.

As two neurodivergent trans folx, finding safe housing is very tough and if we miss out on this opportunity we may not have another for a while.

We’re currently short on rent, money for furniture, for kitchen supplies, medications, food, pet supplies, and some miscellaneous stuff. On top of that my fiancé’s parents may be taking their car away so we will have to use lyft/uber to get to work since we’re not near a bus route.
