Plaster sculpture no.3 My final shape that I want to cast out of bronze, really tried to get something personal, something with a background story, a shape that is playful and swell constructive.. too much stuff for now.. happy with the last picture :) 

From Hard to Soft, constructive slowly fading into soft organic.. the effort it costs me to become soft, is very difficult for me, so that why I create it out of stone..

A day at  LAB atelier, started cutting at 15:30 and left the building at 23:00 with sandpaper in my hand.. Carving is very meditative , but as well for a beginner like me very intens.. 

The stone needs to be a bit more cut in the corners to give more definition.. when ready I want to make a mold of it, to make a wax casting of it, this in order to do a casting of it out of bronze.. good choice? what do you think?

The first stage:  finding the right shape, making a plan, cutting out big pieces to get the stone into shape,, after using my metal saw, I decided later to buy a stone saw,, 18 euros, one of my best investment :) 

got some serious tools coming in.. Exspensive joke, but hey I want the best :)  Awesome!

my messy workshop, hours and hours spend on carving by hand,, Really getting into it, but it takes a lot of energy to carve that many hours by hand.. 

This one is not carved by hand, instead hold by a balloon..

I’m doing my research quite good :) I start on a interesting subject and I make sure I find everything I can .. So I started with “carves Stone Balls” and I end up here.. quite amazing to see other people doing the same .. 

Peter Randall and I have similarities :)
