A training about hypnotherapy. I was curious about how people do the hypnosis thing. Then, I made up my mind to register hypnotherapy training held by one of the member of Indonesian Board of Hypnotherapy. What I can say is that I am grateful that I joined the training. For me, there is one interesting thing from the history of hypnosis and where the term ‘hypnosis’ came from.

According to James Braid, the word ‘hypnosis’ is taken from ‘hypnos’ a God of Sleep from greek mythology, because he thought that hypnosis is related to nervous sleep. However, a few years later after the term ‘hypnosis’ was spread, James found that some of the main phenomenon of hypnotism (everything which is related to hypnosis) including catalepsy, anaesthesia, and amnesia actually could be produced without any ‘sleeping’ process. By knowing this, James was about to chane the term ‘hypnosis’, but unfortunately there was no line today in the past, also it was already too late because the term was already popular across europe. Therefore the term ‘hypnosis’ have been used until now.

“In this world there are three type of swindler. first one is white swindlers (shirosagi), they swindle money out from victim direclty. second is red swindlers (akasagi), they use opposite gender as a bait and toy with the victim affection. The last one and the worst one is black swindler (kurosagi), they don’t victimize people but, shirosagi and akasagi. devour their stout of flesh made of money taken from those victims, the strongest swindler ever.”

Finally I finished reading this story about swindler who trick other swindlers out there. The main character is kurosaki, the boy who survived from attempted murder by his own father. In the very first chapter the story tells that his father try to kill all of their family member (wife, daughter and son) and after that he went suicide. Reason of his act was because he got swindled by shirosagi then as the result he stressed out. After kurosaki’s family got destroyed he wanted revenge to shirosagi who tricked his father and became kurosagi. He is working to katsuragi, an information broker and also mastermind for every kurosaki movement. He also employs other swindlers including the one who tricked kurosaki’s father and the one who camed out with the plan about swindling kurosaki’s father then sold it to shirosagi.

the first thought that came out to my mind after reading first chapter is this manga has very dark story. It also supported by the drawing of characters and the environment. The story has interesting plot. kurosaski swindle shirosagi one by one in different cases and little by little he got the information about the swindler who tricked his father. Kurosagi exist because of lack of the law in Japan who can catch or give a proper punishment to every swindler. Also that the authority cannot take back the money which already taken by the swindler.

This manga contains three season. for the first season kurosaki is looking for the information to find Mikimoto, the swindler who tricked his father. at the end of the first season he finally met mikimoto and try to destroy him, but unfortunately he failed. Second season, kurosaki still hunting down mikimoto and in the middle of second season he finally managed to find mikimoto and after several things that he already done lead mikimoto to suicide. As the result he questioned himself about his vengeance. After mikimoto’s death, now the next target is Kaneto Hojo, the director of the biggest bank in Japan. He knows how corrupt hojo is. He decided to destoy hojo in order to prevent a family who has tragic ending like him because of swindling. Hojo has a connection with Gamo, a politician who had a lot of power. Even cops and prosecutors terrified by his power. Kurosaki learned that Hojo supply money for Gamo because Hojo needs Gamo’s power to keep his position or to get more power. In the last season Kurosaki used everything he had to destroy both of them to prevent them getting more power. Also in the last book kurosaki told what really happened in his family before the murdering happened, reason why katsuragi take care of kurosaki until he can live independently and the fate of Hojo and Gamo. One of the biggest revelation through the series lies in the last book.

Life is strange is a game developed by Dontnod Entertainment with 5 episodes in it. This game focus on Maxine Caulfield who is a student from blackwell academy in arcadia bay. For some reason she has the ability to rewind the time and change the decision that she already made in the past. However, she cannot go back in time too far. At least that was all I knew before played this game.

A few months ago the episode one was free on steam so that’s why I tried this game. First time playing this game I already loved this game so much. even I just played it only the first 20 minutes of the game. The graphic looks beautiful, every building, people and all the plants and animals makes this game really relaxing. Even though you are at the main menu you can see the arcadia bay town, trees that blown by wind and also music that really makes me calm. At that time I’m so ready to play this awesome game with a lot of new experience.

Soundtrack is just really fit with the game and the most important thing the gameplay is so nice. In this game you can interact with other people and choose what we would like to say and the funniest thing is if we do not like their respond we can anytime rewind back time. Also we can know what Max really think about anything that we interact. That really makes us become Max itself and also interaction with other people to see our relationship. This game gives us a lot of choices, and if do not like the result of our choice we can go back to change our decision. Every decision that we make really affect all of your progress. Even your decision is in first episode, it is still can affect your progress at last episode. I will say this game just like a movie but we can choose what we like to happen.

Max and Chloe

Last thing I wanna share is the story. This game has an insane story. I mean there are a lot of things that I miss predicted. A lot of twist in this game, really make me curious to finish the game. In this game we have to find out what is really happening in arcadia bay. There is missing student, an infamous club in arcadia bay who have a lot of mystery, what is the relation between missing girl with the son of the richest man in town. What happened to one of our friend that lead her to jump from roof top of our dorm and after I figure it out one by one I suspect some people who behind all this trouble in arcadia bay, also another important thing is the giant tornado that I saw on Max dream that might be happen and most important thing is what is the relation between all of this with Max ability to rewind time. Oh God, so much mystery and I’m glad I’ve finished the game and feel empty afterwards, thank you so much game. I finished the game approximately 19 hours in game, what a great experience. Episode 1 it’s just like introduction to the game, characters, environment, what is happening in town and also the power of Max. Episode 2 trying to look for a clue why one of our friend so depressed and testing Max power. Episode 3 the relation between current event and the missing person showed up one by one and Max power has something new. Episode 4 really close to the truth and try to capture the person who behind all of this mess. Episode 5 the conclusion, the truth about arcadia bay, the missing person, who behind all of this, the giant tornado and the big secret of Max power. The last episode has the biggest decision of all decision in this game. I still hate to choose between that two but still, it is indeed the best game ever that I’ve ever played. One of many things that I got from this game is “Even though you can fix something in the past doesn’t mean it will make your present better”. And again thanks for the experience. Hope can rewind time and played this for the first time again.
