I’M SPEAKING AT TEDx ASATA ENUGU

 I’ll be speaking at the inaugural TEDx Asata Enugu next weekend!

 Yes!!

 But then, this post is not just about the TEDx Talk; it’s about what got me to the level of being invited to the TEDx stage.

 You see, years ago, I had two terrible life-changing experiences that got my life into a deep depression and a state of despair. This depression went on for years because I just didn’t have what it took to handle the experiences.

 Those of you who knew me in Kano would relate and understand this. I was a depressed girl! Totally sad and unfulfilled in life. Angry, sad, and at a stage I even became bitter.

Until…

Something happened; I came to a place of taking responsibility for my life.

 I stopped blaming people

 I became intentional about my growth

 Embarked on a personal development journey

Of self-awareness,

Discovering the hidden potential resident in me, instead of wallowing in self pity

 It’s been a journey

And I’m still on this journey,

But see where it has got to me today… the TEDx stage!

And lots more unfolding!

 What am I saying to you?

 You can get more intentional about your life

You can embark on a journey of self-discovery, of self-awareness
