Taekyung sighed and tucked his hands into his hoodie pockets, avoiding Suminâs puppydog eyes. Heâd had an unusually tiring day, and as much as he loved to go out and buy ddeokbokki for his classmates and drink and hang out, he felt like he was about to collapse. Plus he was nearly broke, and his parents insisted that he spent this monthâs allowance wisely. But he could almost never refuse a dongsaengâs request, and with another, deeper sigh, he turned to Sumin and offered her a small grin. âSure, alright. I donât really get why you wanna hang out with a bunch of juniors, but we can go.â
It felt like hours ticked by as she waited for some sort of response from him. It was all shifting gazes and deafening silence. Sumin almost whined out loud, however, she bit down on her bottom lip to keep herself from doing so. At his response she perked up slightly, rolling her eyes in reaction. âYah- you act as though I donât spend all day around people twice my age when Iâm working. A few juniors is nothing in comparison to gay men that begin all of their sentences with âIf I had your bodyâ this and âyou women donât know how good you have itâ that...â She gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder, âyouâre doing the world a good favor. Karma will remember this.â
