and then years later, you realize that you weren't all that great and actually, now you're no longer the next great einstein or a troubled coming of christ, you're just troubled and you're just average. and it hurts bc how could the world just lie to me like that and expect me not to be forever ruined with the need to be great but with no great power to do so???
