Hello hell little saint may I ask for your thoughts and opinion on this fanart of frieza From Kyle mioen?
I like it! It's very well done skill-wise. Design-wise they took some liberties I wouldn't have taken, such as the digitrade legs on the 1st and 3rd forms but not on any other form and the fact that they made his face less human (except on 3rd form which is supposed to look inhuman). But overall, very nice!

Well this took way longer than I thought it would probably because I had to go back and redo half of it :/ I experimented with the lines but it didn't turn out the way I expected (and took way too long) and I had to completely repaint the gold bits (because I'm an idiot and forgot how metal looks). I don't know how I keep taking something that's supposed to be simple and making it needlessly complicated but it's mainly why I'm so slow at getting art done. This is a redesign and rename for an old and nearly forgotten character, this guy to be exact. He used to be a sort-of fan-character for Digital Devil Saga and I wanted to make him more of an original character without moving too far from his original look.
Well, one good thing about the quarantine is that I have a lot more time to draw. This would have taken me months under normal circumstances. A couple of years ago, I got to meet a neapolitan mastiff, a rare and very unusual breed of dog with tons of droopy wrinkled skin. Me, being the nerd I am, immediately thought about what a cool hellhound he'd make and then this happened.

I haven’t played Subnautica yet but I really want to!
Made my own Christmas cards this year and since I hadn’t done a proper painting of my dog, Ila, yet, she got to be the subject. She’s a very “winter-themed” dog anyway.
I finally crawled out from under my rock and upgraded to Photoshop CC and got a 2-in-1 laptop with a digital pen so I can finally draw directly on the screen. It’s gonna take some getting used to but it’s a hell of a lot better than the Intuos tablet I’ve been using.

Anyone else a little disappointed that the movies didn’t include the giant bird scene. Sure if done wrong, it would have looked goofy as hell, but if they managed to get it right, it would have been very surreal.

In the book IT transformed into a bunch of different movie monsters to torment the kids and they didn't really show any of them (except the Mummy briefly) in the movies. It's even mentioned that IT transformed into Bruce the shark from Jaws and was spotted by a kid as IT swam up the canal.
Since the second half in the new movie takes place in 2016, that opens the door for a whole bunch of other movie monsters IT could turn into, like Jurassic Park? I thought about which of the JP dinosaurs best suited Pennywise and originally was gonna draw it as a raptor, but then I remembered the JP-style dilophosaurus and, seriously, that's totally Pennywise's spirit animal. It sneaks around in the dark and appears harmless at first, the neck frills, the toxic drool, that's textbook Pennywise!

Version 2 of ““““golden”””” Frieza
Ya know I just realized, I've never done any proper fanart of golden frieza. It's certainly not my favorite of Frieza's forms but it's grown on me over time, plus I like shiny things.
But since I'm incapable of doing normal fanart, ya'll are getting kintsugi Frieza instead of actual golden Frieza. I like the way the kintsugi aesthetic looks and I've been looking for an excuse to paint it.
Got inspired to draw nameofahriman's character.
Not as clean as I would've liked, but it still came out okay.

A while ago I ran across @nameofahriman‘s awesome picture and headcanon of Frieza’s species being built for swimming, and that stuck in my head all throughout my DBZ rewatch. AND THEN THIS HAPPENED:
FRIEZA EATS A WHOLE, LIVE CRAB RIGHT OFF VEGETA’S SHOULDER. JUST. HAS HIMSELF A LITTLE CRABSNACK IN THE MIDDLE OF A MONOLOGUE. THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN. That is WILD. No one TOLD ME. Why didn’t you TELL ME. This was IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

Anyway, that cemented the theory for me. Also I’d been browsing a lot of paleo-art blogs recently and thinking about dentition and badass Devonian fish, and I already had a thing for weird seal teeth. yes i know crabeater seals eat krill don’t @ me
