ΒΏhair day?
syn: hair maintenance day with you and maki

hair day looked very different for you and maki. while maki's might be a nice wash using the fancy deep conditioner she bought on a whim and the occasional trim for her bangs, yours was very different. it was a ritual that needed a day and left your bathroom looking like hurricane katrina hit it. not to mention if you decide to dye it or a touch up on the dye. it was more than maki ever bargained for when she signed up to help you the first time.
thinking it'd be an hour, maybe two thing and it'd be over not knowing that you're hair days were a commitment. not too mention if you're in between hairstyles so you've been doing whatever was quickest throughout the week. now though? maki knew exactly what she was signing up for every two to three weeks depending on the hairstyle. she'd admit it was a bonding experience... in a way?
"ow! that hurts you know?!" you shouted as maki helped you detangle your hair. always insisting that she was always to rough on your hair. "how when i've barely touched your head? you're just tenderheaded." she retorted in her regular monotone voice while detangling in small sections. both of you continuing to bicker of the pressure on your head well into the braiding your hair. however still fitting in your usual complaining and clinginess that she loved about you.
maki's hair was a much less stress inducing experience. her hair didn't need half the maintenance or half the time yours did. usually needed a wash every week except for when she needed her bangs done and a trim for comfort and split ends. maki trusted you completely with a regular trim of the ends, however the bangs were a different story. shorts face framing pieces that she couldn't just scoop back if they got messed up in any way. they were the only part that you argued about while she watched you trim from the mirror and waited till she thought it looked good.
sure maintenance day was a day you both swore tested your patience and relationship, but it wasn't nearly as bad in the end.
