luke didn’t notice the other person enter. the gym was filled with the sound of his punches at the bag, not even noticing someone watch him. he started growing tired. after stopping it from swinging, he went to his small bag and downed a bottle of water, taking notice of the slender girl on the treadmill. he stopped himself when he realized he was staring and went back to the punching bag to distract himself again.

punching bags were nice, in luke’s opinion. they helped clear his mind when he’s bothered, or angry. currently, luke wasn’t either. he felt like punching someone, but he wasn’t particularly angry. maybe he just missed the thrill of beating someone up. even though he never liked the things he did during his absence, he can’t deny the fact that he’s never felt complete since he got back here, as if leaving the world he explored while he was away bore a void in him.

punching bags were nice, they let luke feel that same thrill once again but he didn’t hurt anyone also. so here he was, shirtless and sweaty in the gym, mercilessly beating up a punching bag, the poor thing. 

“No, it’s not a fucking cross. It’s, uh, one of those symbols from Sweden or Norway or whatever. Runes, I think they’re called.”

“Did you know that Oregon has more ghost towns than any other state? Wanna sneak out and try to find one, I’ll take the blame if we get caught - I pinky promise.”
