i know self promo’s are a great way to get your muse and your friends muses out there bc they absolutely deserve the recognition but damn if it isn’t disheartening to see something that’s supposed  to be positive turned into an ugly af thing. we all have our favorites, i absolutely have mine sometimes you click with a specific mun, but to disparage other people who play the same muses as your friends with vague ass tags that really aren’t that vague and are basically pointed at another version of said muse is sickening. it’s hurtful and it’s fucking sad. no one portrayal is better than another it’s all a matter of perspective and preference. and i’d love to start seeing more positivity in tags rather than this “so and so is the best version of *insert muse here*. nobody even comes close. nobody should try.” because you’re literally making a point to put down other writers who had the great sense to play the same muse as you or your friend. nobody deserves that shit. nobody should have to come online and question their writing and their characters because they’re made to feel like less than what they are. we all matter. we are all wonderful, creative and beautiful creatures. who want nothing more than to spill the stories that live inside us. and we deserve the chance to do that without negativity and toxicity. roleplay for some is meant to be an escape from a world that is not always kind and just to us. please allow it to remain a safe place.
