if you were forced to, could you do other non-water type civil engineering? like if the otter nation called to you to build them a modern society could you (even just kinda) engineer a bridge or an airport or a highway?

YOU'LL TAKE MY PIPES AWAY FROM MY COLD, DEAD OTTER PAWS.

To be fair, I do non-water civil engineering already too, I'm just not as enthused about it. Permit processing, grading, simple roadways, channel design, and stormwater drainage, I do those too beyond my water fascination. To do buildings and highways, I'd actually have to be a structural engineer, or work with a structural engineer. Airports would require structural AND an architect! Most of these big things require multiple disciplines. Heck, many bridges have water utilities going through them, thus you need me doing my normal job too!

To still be fair, I would design other things if I was properly educated and licensed to, else wise it's just an ethics violation to do engineering I'm not confident in. If the otter nation is willing to pay for my education, I will gladly help design more than just water stuff.
