See, now this is a great way to deal with the oil! TBF, it's not a massive harm to pour some oil into the drains on an infrequent basis, but every bit you remove from the system helps.

Example, the last time I toured the local wastewater treatment plant, the operators were dealing with a FOG issues (fats, oils, and greases). Lots of brown foam was forming atop their secondary clarification, since there was so much FOG that the primary biological treatment couldn't get rid of it. This required them to pay for FOG removal on a weekly basis, which costed more.
