honestly lewis is a 7-time world champion, winningest driver, consistently supports and encourages the younger (and older, tbh) drivers on the grid, is pouring millions of his own cash into trying to get more women and people of color into motorsports, is helping make karting more accessible to poor kids, is pro-lgbt+, pro-women, pro-blm, pro-vaccine, and more, and does it all while dealing with horrific racial abuse every step of the way as the only black driver in formula 1 history (absolutely not saying he would deserve it if he wasn’t so giving), while celebrating being black and not trying to white himself up in a sport that sneers at everything to do with his race, has more reason than anyone to just say fuck it and be a dick, and if you still strongly dislike him, i frankly don’t know how to reach you. you don’t want to be reached.
