Just a small update to show what all I have put together as of yet. As this is a character reel, I've been approaching it scene by scene rather than all at once, working on multiple different parts at the same time just so I don't tire myself with the same clip. As of now, here is the most completed clip that I have. Currently I'm just on the process of colouring and then it'll be done until I'm ready to do compositing and sound later. Over the next few days I will start posting more WIP clips from other segments.

Might as well start off with explaining what is is that I'm doing, so this is the project proposal that I threw together for my Junior Film at Kansas City Art Institute. The requirements are that by the end of the semester I have 90 seconds of finished animation, so I decided to create a reel focusing on character movement and expression. Over the next few months I will be documenting the process and posting it here along with on other socials.

Full in depth explanation of what I am doing^ For the TLDR: I am focusing on the character rather than the narrative. These Vignettes will depict characters simply existing, whether that be in a tavern, on an adventuring mission, or maybe more.

When it comes to the stylization of my work, I'm looking a lot at pre-existing 2D animation, one such example being Disney's Treasure Planet, which has been a major inspiration in the world that I've spent so long creating, Kymaar. The world itself is a blend of Steampunk and Cyberpunk in a fantasy setting.

I will create a series of more in depth posts on the characters at a later date, but these are the characters I will be focusing on for this project, adding a bit of variety in the depictions of characters along with antics for if they interact.

Some moments that came to mind as I was forming this project

When it comes to some other parts of the pitch, mainly Audio and Font, I do not have concrete ideas settled yet. The Audio entirely depends on what things do get to the animatic phase and what doesn't. The Font might be a creation of my own as I don't have a need for many fonts. anyways,
