Do y’all ever read your partner’s reply and it’s just… so beautiful, so well-crafted, you really just have to sit back, and read it a couple more times, and wonder how in the heck you got so lucky to write with someone THIS talented??

His monstrous visage looms over your sight, shadowed by the pale hanging moon. Two horns sprout from the sides of his bony skull, twisting upwards into broad antlers. A thin sting of saliva hands from his pearly fangs as his lips draw back. Yet from his own grotesque maw spills the sweetest voice.  “My sweet,” he gently coos down to you shivering form, “my beautiful little creature.”  A clawed finger delicately traces down the side of your face, making you shiver. He is a fearsome beast, the kind that would plague a person’s nightmares for the rest of their lives just from a secondary glance. But he reserves such tenderness only for you.  “Beautiful,” he murmurs, clutching the side of your face in his scarred, oversized palm.  You smile up at him, pulling down his massive hand with your own small pair and lightly planting a kiss on it. “As are you, my love.” you tell him. 

Imagine monster-human couples starting families together.  Imagine big intimidating monsters crying when they learn that they’re going to be parents.  Imagine them marking the outside of their human mate’s home with their claws, leaving deep scratches against brick and mortar or hoarding branches and leaves to build a nest out of.  Imagine them lulling their unborn to sleep with gentle clicks, growls and the songs of their ancient races, songs that no human alive has ever heard before. Imagine them finally holding their hybrid newborns for the first time, clutching them in their huge terrible claws as if they would never let go. They could easily rip them apart, but to their little ones, their touches are all but brief brushes of silk to their tiny, new bodies. Imagine them protecting both their offspring and their mates as fiercely and as lovingly as they have never done before, desperate not to lose the new loves they have in their lives after years hiding away in the shadows.  Imagine both human and monster being more complete than either of them have in their lives, finally together, finally a family.  A weird little family, but a happy little family nonetheless.

This needs to be a movie

• some people prefer monogamy • some people prefer polyamory • both types of relationships are valid • people who pursue a poly relationship, where all parties are aware are ok. • polyamory is not the same as cheating on a monogamous partner

I don’t even know what the skeleton war is... does this count against me?
