A furry head found its way between your legs, barking and whining as you cooked dinner. You looked down at the German Shepherd puppy named Bolder, yes, Bolder. One of the search and rescue dogs had puppies, and Toph brought one home and named it Bolder.

You sighed, took a piece of meat off the skillet, and tossed it down to him. The dog had learned from enough whining and noise-making that you would feed him whatever he wanted. He caught mid-air and swallowed, not even chewing. Afterwards, he happily pranced over to his dog bed.

Then another boulder came in, Toph. She was smirking like usual, “How are my two favorite people getting along?”

“That dog is almost as food-driven as you are, Toph,” you grumbled, looking at the puppy who tilted his head like he didn’t just annoy food from you.

“Yeah, like that’s possible,” she walked over, taking a piece of meat from the skillet, still smirking.

I loveeeee domestic Toph and I don’t see enough of it, so here’s my take.

The door clicked open and shut. The sound of metal clanging on the floor was also heard. You didn’t bother turning around, already knowing who was home. Two strong, beefy arms wrapped around your waist, and a chin rested on your shoulder.

“Mmm, smells good,” she murmured into your neck, inhaling the food and your smell.

A smile found your lips at her oddly domestic gesture. “I’d hope it is your favorite.”

At the dinner table, you and Toph sat across from each other. She complimented the food, which again was almost weird of her? She loved your cooking, but really never openly said anything about it.

“What’s got you in such a good mood?” You looked up at her from your plate, blind, but she was looking directly into your eyes.

“Nothing, I'm just happy to have an amazing, beautiful wife to cook me dinner every day.”

“Spirits, you’re such a sap.” You muttered under your breath, but she still heard.

“Hey! I'm not a sap!” She denied very quickly

“Hey, believe whatever you want,” you raised your hands in surrender, “doesn’t mean it’s right.”

That morning on Ember Island, Suki and Katara had gotten up to make breakfast for the Gaang. You and Zuko were yet to arrive for the “vacation” Sokka had planned for everyone. Forcing you and Zuko to part ways from firelord and lady duties.

“Another day, another- what the fuck is that?” Sokka was looking out the window of the villa, seeing a 60-foot-long dragon descending from the sky with you and Zuko on the back of it.

Your cheek rested against Zuko’s shoulder, calmly resting from the long trip to Sokka’s “vacation” spot. That was rudely interrupted by a half-naked Sokka running outside, screaming.

“You have a dragon! You never thought to tell me you had a dragon the size of the Island?!” Zuko looked surprised and a little guilty. He had never told the poor non-bender about Druk. You, however, couldn’t help but laugh at Sokka's reaction to the majestic creature.

“It’s nothing to scream about, Sokka; he is just a dragon.”

“Just a dragon?!” Sokka yelled again, bewildered at your words, “They are extinct for spirit's sake, and you just show up on one?!”
