Hiii! I’m back agaaaaain. Even if my brain has a bit pulled away from kirby at the moment, I keep going with this because it’s fun

So, what I have today is a more detailed layout of the first two floors. I feel happy with the amount of detail I chose this time around, especially with the specificity that those two have the hangar in the middle.

So the Bottom Floor looks like this for now.

The ships are mostly placeholders to have a mild idea of scale. Then, I added an exit hatch for the said ships, and true to the game version, I added the core at the very bottom.

I imagine it would be a floor entirely made for mechanical stuff, with the core, the smaller ships, the first set of engines and storage rooms.

Then the first floor starts having living quarters.

I put the air squadron crew there, to have them close to their ships, along with showers nearby. I also put engineering bays there, for proximity to the engines and core without being on the very bottom and losing space in the hangar.

Next I’ll probably start working on the other three floors, as two are smaller and don’t take the whole length of the ship. There I’ll add more living quarters, common areas and the mess hall, but also the control room and stuff like that.

Question of the day: Do you have a favorite knight that isn’t Meta knight? I personally love Blade, especially the anime version and how chaotic dumb he and Sword can be.

Also, do you guys like this format? Should I make a master post? And don’t hesitate to send asks as well, I’ll answer as I can.

Hello! I’m back with another step forward, and more thinking/references

So, the next step I took was work on getting a vague idea of the inside layout. How many floors, what’s on each, what I can already place from what is already known etc.

I decided to take two irl vehicles as references. A battleship and an aircraft carrier.

A battleship because I’m pretty sure the Halberd is originally modeled after one (different from the one shown above) and an aircraft carrier because, well, there is canonically a hangar with smaller ships, and so I needed something that could do that to see just how it’s made inside.

I ended up using the aircraft carrier more because it was closer to the scale I was searching for, and so, here’s what I have currently:

Five floors, two of which are mostly occupied by a big hangar. I’m not sure yet about the other rooms but I have mostly confirmed where I want the ones written on the image. And probably at some point I’ll also, like, draw the smaller ships, maybe find what they look like in the game.

Questions of the day if you read that far: How many mini ships do you think the crew would have? Would they all look the same?

Second part || Master post

So, hi, hello, welcome. I’m Myorinn and I have big ideas, maybe too big for me

I had mentioned a while back wanting to make blueprints of the Halberd from top to bottom, and I started on it

The first thing I went searching, was the outside. I tried to find as many versions of it I both liked and could read properly. In the end, I decided to make it look more like the games’ versions. While I like the anime one, and how it’s animated, the general shape is a bit too far from a battleship, which is where I wanted to go with it.

So I stopped on this for now, mostly keeping it close to the robobot version for now. And, since I had played Meta knight’s revenge recently, I kept the combo cannon and its battle zone as well. For now, I am thinking about changing the other turrets’ disposition to add more of the anime’s weaponry to the design.

End note: I think my next objective is going to be cutting up the ship floor by floor and vertically, I already have a few examples with real ships.

The Meta knights train edition!

Originally, I almost wanted to make matching uniforms for Sword and Blade like Ingo and Emmet from pokemon, because I just imagine them really close to each other because of the anime, but then I just went with what fit their base designs the most, so avoiding the collar that would mess with their helmets, the long sleeves etc.

I have been playing with an idea of making a train version of the Halberd to go with the designs, after also playing through revenge of meta knight on the switch version. I felt very proud of causing problems :D

And like, I know it’s originally a collab with a train system in japan, but what if actual AU of some kind? Man I need people to bounce ideas with.

Now, we all know Meta knight has the Halberd in most medias he appears in, be it main games, side stuff, smash bros the anime, etc

After rewatching Kirby right back at ya, and writing some (a lot of) self-indulgent stuff with him and his crew following that timeline, a thought occurred to me:

What does the inside look like? From top to bottom, what does the Halberd look like?

So, the worm in my head whispered an idea to my brain:

Making a whole blueprint of the Halberd

I want to make a whole series of drawings that are floor plans for the battleship. Each. Floor. The hangar, the living quarters, the engineering bay, the bridge, EVERYTHING

I want to compare each version, each design and iteration. What if it was cozier? What if each main crew member has their room? What would they look like? I could make illustrations of the day to day, of their different personal and common rooms.

I could even come here and ask my fellow knight fans what they would imagine as each crew member’s personal space. It sounds so fun to just make it a sort of journal on here, where I slowly progress and show you each step along with my thought process

And then?

Make a 3D model from it

I could make models of the crew, make renders of them hanging out around the ship, maybe even animate it. This part would probably take a lot of time so I still keep it at an arm’s length but gods I want to do it.

Man I need to take notes of the ideas I already have, see what inspired ships the Halberd design was inspired by, see what each floor looks like, how many there are and add the Kirby whimsy to make it just right.

The brainworm is buried deep in my head today, I love my knights so much.
