here, in first year (out of 5.5 years of the course), we've to study anatomy, physiology and biochemistry.

anatomy's basically the structure of the body organs, physiology's how they work and biochemistry's just the chemicals and their reactions occuring in the bodies. and all of them include a hell lot of info on diseases we've to learn, in case anything goes haywire, even the tiniest bit.

despite sounding (and being) hectic, it's actually pretty fun learning these, ngl. :D

If you’re like me and have a large gap under your front door (someone could take a stick and just poke the leaning stick style door jam out), I recommend the Addalock. It’s small, perfect for traveling, and this lock is CRAZY. It’s so simple but the door does not move.

You can’t see it from the other side, either. It also cost about $20, and I can’t recommend it enough. Easy to travel with, too! Great for Air BnBs!

That’s why I have these on my doors. They get drilled into the side and once its flipped over the door nothing is getting it open. Not the door being unlocked nothing, I’ve unlocked the door and pulled and pushed as hard as I could and it didn’t budge. When I go on a trip this is what I use and when I’m home I leave it on too. No one is getting in here.

Okay I know that it is necessary for many but what do you do if you need medical attention and you’re not able to open the door from the inside? Can the fire department get through these at least?

Yes. The fire department can and will break down your door if necessary, it’s one of the reasons they have axes; it’s entirely possible for door frames to melt/expand/seize or otherwise become unopenable during a house fire but the door itself can be hacked down. Or the window. In rare cases, the wall. Firefighters don’t fuck around with collateral damage when lives are at stake.

i totally get you, bestie. i too used to be in a similar mood more often than not. it's like - you know finals are upcoming, still you aren't in the mood to do anything about it. you're like - wth, imma just gonna procrastinate and let the next day's me deal with it. i get you, bestie.

nevertheless, never let it interfere with your physical or mental health. those two are hella important. and drink lots of water, take adequate rest - then, if you feel like it, try studying.

in my experience if you're learning a language but you're worried about not pronouncing it right or sounding ridiculous in front of native speakers, I'm here to tell you that most people do not care. they don't care if you have an accent or if your mother tongue is peeking through, because in all honesty, everyone has an accent. it's unfair and frankly unrealistic to expect people to bear no remnants of their native tongue when speaking another. you've spent your entire life speaking your language, interacting with the world in it; your understanding of language is built on your native one and its natural sounds. no one can expect you to entirely shift how your brain processes words and sounds. most native speakers will just appreciate you trying at all. if it's comprehensible, if the gist of what you're saying gets across, then it's good enough. if you're trying, your accent is fine.
