It’s down to the last two in Silya’s reality singing competition in Norway—and our girl made the finals! See above for one of the performances that got her there, a rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love” that makes the air so dusty.Â
She moves me. Silya, winner of norwegian TV-show Stjernekamp.
So, SBKs birthday is coming up... Discuss!
So, Sidse Babett Knudsens birthday is coming up: what should we get for her? Red wine and sigarettes? A Twitter profile that isn't fake? A serenade outside her window?
Obscenely young Sidse, aged 18, in a piece talking about her audition for drama school in Paris. (via anabelle-blog)
This photo is actually from one of the best interviews I have read with SBK. It´s from the danish magazine Ekko, www.ekkofilm.dk. Unfortunately only available on print, I think, but possible to order from the website if you are as asdfgghj as I am. She´s talking about her background, her choices, her personality, and even about her lover..
I REQUIRE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CONTENTS OF THIS ARTICLE
You should! ;-) It really should be an issue for tumblr crowdsourcing, it´s like eight pages long, in danish... (Did you realize the girl on the small photo to the left is also SBK?)

Hi, thank you for the translation!
You´re welcome. :-) Have a nice Saturday!
Talking about the Topslikker-scene: Roughly translated
Sidse Babett Knudsen and director Jonas Elmer talk about the famous scene from Let´s Get Lost: http://www.ekkofilm.dk/artikler/ekkos-julekalender-2012-16-december/
Original scene:Â http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YfIJ531JRE
Jonas Elmer: I remember, with this scene, we wanted it to be the kind of a scene that guys never get to listen in to.
Sidse Babett Knudsen: Yeah..
J: Like when you're sitting at a cafe watching two girls being very into a conversation, you think fxxx, how cool it would be to be able to put a microphone in betweeen them. We had 11 days rehersal time, and this particular scene had very high priority, so we had dedicated three whole days. You and Mette Horn should sit down and create this conversation.
S: Yes. And I think Mette and me quickly decided that if we should get you laughing in the OB-car hidden somewhere, the conversation should somewhat be about sex. And then we talked about the hard work in this aspect, sex isn't just fun.
J: No, sex isn´t...
S:No, sex. isn´t... It also demands some kind of preparation, you have to learn and familiarize yourself with stuff. And then we came here, and no one could see us being filmed.
J: (He explains that the cameras where hidden in two vans, and there was acell phone on the cafe table so that he could call them and say "ready for action" etc)
S: (A bit difficult to understand, but Sidse mocks his directing, comparing him to the strict dance teacher from Fame, roughly:) "Want fame? This is where you start paying, in sweat." And you said, like "You should expect that this never appear in the final movie.  I´ll just say it like it is. We don´t know where this storyline goes, but we are with you all the way. And I expect from my troops..."
J: I said that? I was like that? But no one of us knew where we were going, not me, not you, not the technicians. We invented as we went along. The only thing we knew, was we had received money to make a short film, but we wanted to make a feature film. But we didn´t tell anybody.
S: And the first time I saw the movie, was in Nørrebrogade, in your appartment.
J: Yes, together with Bjarne and Nikolaj and Troels. And you sat for 90 minutes without any facial expressions at all.
S: I was scared, I was really scared.
J: Yes, I remember that really well.Â
S: There were absolutely no action in the movie. Nothing happened.Â
J: No. It was a rather disturbing experience. I had been editing for several weeks, and I thought it was turning out really, really good. And then I showed it to you guys, and there weren´t as much as a tiny start of a smile on your faces. For 90 minutes. That was.. That was..
S: I sat there for a long time wondering about.. And thinking I shouldn´t ask you, because I should know: "Is this the final movie, or just a rough first draft?" "Is he going to turn it into a real movie later on?" That would be the wrong question to ask, right?
J: "Will this look like a real movie at some point?"Â
S: Yeah.Â
J: But this was before this kind of storytelling came into fashion...
S:  It was 80 minutes of dogme.. There wasn´t any dogme in the streets at the time, no. I had only one line that was decided and written down in advance. From the original "Let´s Get Lost"-movie about Chet Baker. Can you say it? Like it should be said?Â
J: Not like it should be said, I am not an actor, but the line was: "How can you stop loving me?" That was the only line that was decided in advance in the whole movie. And it made it through the final cut.
S: Just like we planned. ("Som sagt, sĂĄ gjort"..)
J: Would you consider making a sequel?
S: About kids... With divorced parents..
J: The only thing I know about the sequel, is that Nicolaj Kopernikus.. His character is going to be the only one of you who´s had professional sucess.
S: And the rest of us, we (...). We have changed names(?)
J: This is a good idea.Â
S: And this time without words. Right? No words.
J: Yes. Let´s have a cigarette to celebrate old times.
