Because who doesn’t love fics based on songs? Mostly though, I just have this song stuck in my head and wanted to write something.

At 18, Marinette Dupain-Cheng has accomplished a lot. As a civilian, she won numerous design competitions and been accepted to many fashion schools. As a superhero, she and her partner have defeated many villains, including Hawkmoth. Yes, Marinette has been very successful.

Another accomplishment she was quite proud of was her friendship with Adrien. Over the past few years, she slowly came to realize that she was holding the boy on a pedestal and decided that she needed to get to know him before she decided she wanted to be with him. They eventually became best friends, one of the few people that liked Adrien for Adrien. When Gabriel was arrested for being Hawkmoth, Adrien moved in with her family. They were really happy as friends.

Tikki: You dont have a choice, Marinette, being Ladybug is more important. We’ll just be extra careful your parents don’t notice you’re gone.

Chat Noir paced atop the rooftop of Nino’s apartment building. His ears twitched, sensitive enough to pick up the sound of the beat and melody echoing out into the night from the very familiar window below him. And while the hum of electronica was pleasing, it did nothing to assuage the nervous pounding in his chest.

Internally he tried to hype himself up, to get the courage built up in him that he knew Nino usually associated with his masked persona. He glanced down at the plush doll in his hand, and felt his heart sink at what Nino would think of him now, to see his hero scared helpless at the thought of delivering such a simple and childish toy. The small plush Chat Noir doll stared up at him with unblinking eyes, judging him and making him feel like a fraud.

He groaned, perhaps he was just overthinking himself. This was fine. Just a regular superhero out on patrol, taking a break from watching over the city to visit his favourite civilian…who was actually his best friend…

Very normal.

When Nino transforms into Carapace, how neat would it be if he ‘flicked’ his glasses, they turned into his goggle mask, and then he pulls down his hat and it turns into his hood?

BONUS:

I just gotta get it out of my chest. I’ve gone through the ml spoilers tag and saw how people are gushing about Lukanette, and I agree, they are cute but…

Marinette doesn’t have a crush on Luka, people.

It’s probably not that many people who seem to think that but like… why do people suddenly assume that Marinette has a crush on Luka??? Like that’s unrealistic. That’s just contradicting her whole character in general. Tbh, I think she’s just a girl who saw a good looking boy being nice to her and she’s slightly star struck but that’s all??? I mean, wouldn’t we all be a bit like that if a cute guy was nice to us? We know that Marinette isn’t the kind to fall in love rapidly (I mean why else wouldn’t she have fallen for Chat??). And speaking of Chat, if she didn’t fall for him, her long time partner, because she is into Adrien, why would she like Luka, a guy that she barely knows??? Like someone explain this to me right now.

At the very most, I think she’s just slightly attracted to him. But there’s no romance in my opinion.

That’s all I had to say on the matter. Lukanette is extremely cute though, there’s no denying.
