What are your head cannons for malec as parents (literally canât wait for the lbotw)

1. Magnus called dibs on the âfun parentâ role, so Alec has to act as the voice of reason a lot and say no to the usual âletâs have ice-cream for breakfastâ ideas
2. When Max first started turning into a bat, there were a lot of vampire jokes (Jace: âare you sure he isnât the product of Simonâs torrid love affair with a beautiful blue vampire?â Magnus: *blasts him with magic* Simon: *panics*)
3. Magnus and Alec rarely get any time alone- when you have a baby who can do magic and turn into a bat thatâs kinda hard- so Magnus has to invest in some very expensive magical locks for their bedroom door (it takes Max a few days to break them, and Alec made the most of those few days)
4. Alec sometimes has a crisis bc âIâm barely twenty, how am I supposed to take care of a baby? Theyâre so dependant, last week I almost got impaled while saving Jaceâs sorry assâ. Magnusâ response is just: âIâm stuck in the body of a nineteen year old forever, at least you get to look slightly more like a parentâ
5. Most days Alec functions on stamina runes and coffee, while Magnus functions off of pure âthis baby will not defeat my spirit, I didnât live through countless wars to be bested by a blue bat in Lego pyjamasâ
