Pocheon Art Valley is a filming site for famous dramas such as "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (달의 연인 - 보보경심 려)"

(Episode 1 when Haeso met the astronomer that lead her to Goryo Dynasty after she jumped into the water to save a drowning kid)

and also, the shooting location of "A Korean Odyssey (화유기)"

(The place where The Great Sage and Sam Jang have to face the Black Dragon)

For me, as a Korean Drama trash, it was one of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. It was nostalgic and exhilarating. I really recommend you to visit here.

However, you need patience and at least half a day to be able to get to see this valley which is located in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

I believe its kinda confusing especially for a foreigner who doesn't speak/read Hangeul to get to this place. So, How to go to Pocheon Art Valley? Lemme share to you how I and my friends got there.

1. Ride Seoul Subway Line 2 (green line) to Seongsu Station.

2. Transfer to another train to Gangbyeon Station.

3. Get out to Exit 4. Cross the street to get to Dong Seoul Bus Terminal.

4. Buy a bus ticket to Pocheon. (Tip: Find the gate towards Platform 25~36 and buy the ticket from the Ticket Window near it). You will ride either Bus 3000 or 3001 which is located in either Platform 30 or 31. Bus fare is 6,400 won. It would take around 50 minutes going there.

5. Pocheon is the 3rd stop. Get down in Pocheon Intercity Bus Terminal.

6. Some would ride a bus from there to the art valley. However, finding the exact bus stop or the exact bus to ride is very confusing. (Google maps just actually made it more complicated for us and it was very cold when we went there) So I recommend that you walk around 50 meters forward from the bus terminal until you reach Ediya Cafe.

7. Cross the street from Ediya Cafe. You will then reach that place which is in the picture below. Ride a taxi there (A line of taxi is behind that truck in the photo below). Tell the driver you want to go to Pocheon Art Valley ("아트 벨리" or "Ateu Belli").Taxi fare is only 8,900 won so its not that pricey and you would minimize the time going there.

8. Once you reach the art valley, purchase a ticket for entrance 5,000 won and also monorail 4,500 won (round trip for adult). You have to ride the monorail as the road is an uphill towards the main gallery.

9. You will get down in front of the Pocheon Art Valley Astronomical Science Museum.

10. The exact Pocheon Art Valley is at the back part. There are arrows which will lead you there.

To get back to Seoul, there is a bus timing at the bus stop/taxi stand in front of the place where you bought your tickets. We weren't able to ride the bus though. So I also recommend you take the taxi again to Pocheon Intercity Bus Terminal. Then buy your ticket in there, just tell the cashier you want to go back to Dong Seoul Bus Terminal. Bus fare ia 6,400 won.
