Yesterday’s luncheon to Celebrate Muslim Cultures and listen to Amani of @muslimgirl speak to high school students about Muslims, the media and more was a beautiful and delicious event. Kudos to the Culinary Arts students who did a great job cooking, creating and plating an all-halal menu filled with gourmet dishes fit for any fancy restaurant. So impressed by these kids and by the Niles North School District & community who organized and implemented such an educational exchange for all of us. (at Niles North High School)

Most of the time I’m in the kitchen working the entire day and my little fur baby is never far away. She’s quite the gourmet kitty- loves coconut oil, butter, Parmesan cheese and her favorite are the chicken treats that come in a push-pop form. Don’t worry, we never over-do it. #TBT to our last food stop @gulfood when @suelabadi and I met the folks behind @cameliciousuae and got to try their unique varieties of flavored #camel milk. I was energized the rest of the day after just one bottle. It didn’t taste ‘gamey’ or smell like🐪, either- in case you were going to ask. I actually happened to like🐪🥛a whole lot now and wish we had better access to it here. (at ibis World Trade Centre Dubai)

Since I’ve been home from traveling and back to really chilly weather, I suddenly got laryngitis and felt completely under the weather and in no shape to cook a complex meal or pot of soup.
