During patrols, he can ignore it with the sounds of Gotham around him and the occasional bat that will drop by. But when he’s at home is his safe house that’s just a little too quiet, and it feels like there’s an empty space waiting to be filled in his chest, he can’t just brush it off.

Every week he waits. Waits to be invited to family dinner. Waits to be asked to come over for movie night. Waits to be included. And every week, it is only proved that he isn’t apart of their family.

So he sits at his empty safe house, undecorated and no family pictures on the walls. Because he isn’t part of a family, and it doesn’t look like he ever will be.

Lmaoo I'm just picturing Jason menacingly standing over Black Mask, while dramatically explaining that it's over for him. All of Hood's goons have infiltrated through weak spots, and he had insider information this whole time, and blah blah blah.

Hood, standing confidently and gesturing wildly: "Your empire is done, Black Mask. It's mine, and you can't stop m-" *comms turn on*

Hood, listening silently: "..."

Mask: ?

Hood: "fuck. Okay, uh, I gotta go-"

Mask, watching Hood turn around to leave: "Wait what-"

Hood: "Yup, I'll uh, I'll be back. I got somewhere to be."

Hood, whispering to himself: "god damnit, Tim, always ruining shit for me"

Mask: *Slowly gets up and backs away*

If I'm remembering correctly (and please correct me if I'm wrong), Damian is already with Bruce in UTRD. So Jason just.. takes him back. Like, Damian is at the manor one night, and the next day he, and all of his belongings, are gone. There is no evidence that he was there to begin with.

Bruce is going crazy, because his son disappeared at the same time that Hood decided to skip town, so he just knows that Damian was kidnapped or threatened into going with him.

Except he wasn't.

That night, Jason popped up in Damian's window and was like "Hey, it's time to go" and Damian just went along with it because his brother told him to.
