also i know this was for budget reasons (didn't want to hire more extras) but i cannot stress enough how weird it is that shane and ilya train alone in the offseason. i mean i know shane goes jogging with hayden sometimes but he's always working out in a totally empty gym lol. hockey men are pack animals. they feel jittery and unsettled if they are not in the company of at least 2-4 other hockey men at all times. if shane goes home to ottawa he would probably be training and/or skating regularly and maybe playing pickup hockey with the nhlers in the ottawa area. if ilya's in moscow he's got a gaggle of russian players he's training with and doing charity sporting events with and posting instagram videos of himself chirping in the gym.

The tags are very funny but the way in which Will Smith being seen with Gabe Perrault almost immediately upon the olympic break absolutely verifies this makes me cackle.
