Prompt: After being brought up in the Widow program, you tried to pay for your sins. You worked odd jobs for Valentina, often with John Walker when his missions called for a gentle touch. The two of you worked well together, and consequently both got thrown into the incinerator. During the final battle, you're thrown into the shame rooms together.
(TW: Reader is a widow who had to sell her body, flashbacks of one such time in the story below. Please don't read if that might be triggering for you)
Youâd been touching him when you entered the darkness. One hand on his shoulder had pulled you into his darkest memories, his worst pain. You stood in the middle of a nursery, with Walker sitting beside the crib of a screaming infant. The real version of the man stood just in front of you, transfixed on the scene before him. âWhat is this?â you asked, finally drawing his attention.
âYou shouldnât be here,â he murmured, eyes scanning from you back to the room frantically.
âI didnât mean to. I didnât think it worked like that.â
âJust stay close. Pleaseâ he added the word at the end, not an afterthought but a plead.
You nodded, bringing yourself closer to him. You watch the man as he watches himself. The dream version of him doesnât tend to the screaming child, but continues to scroll through headlines on his phone, each one a think piece on his failure as Captain America. Instinctively, you try to get closer, but the real him holds you back. A blush creeps up your skin as you murmur an apology.
A moment later a woman enters, pleading him to take care of his child. His wife, you note. In the few news clips you'd seen of the Walker as Captain America, she was always at his side. He all but ignores her before running out of the room and leaving her to tend for their child. A second passes before the scene resets.
You shouldnât be here, you think. Shouldnât know about this, the most painful moment of his life. You look to Walker, but his eyes have returned to scanning the room. âThere,â he murmurs before crossing the room and slamming his shield into the mirror.
âCome on,â he says, extending his hand to you. âI donât want you getting lost in here.â
You wrapped your fingers into his, allowing him to lead you into the next âroomâ. This time, you were in a town square. You looked around for the past Walker but didnât see him. âWe should keep moving,â he said quickly.
âSure,â you murmured, forcing yourself to stop searching for the memory of him and to look for the way out.
You ignored the yelling in the distance, though you were sure this was the beginning of the scene. Instead, you scanned the environment, trying to find anything out of place. The mirror had been warped in the nursery. Something had to be wrong here, too. Quick enough, you locked onto the reflection of the water in the fountain at the middle of the square. âThe waterâs wrong!â you exclaimed. âThatâs our way out.â
It was too late, though. In the minute it took you to find the exit, the memory of Walker had run into the square, chasing a man at an unnatural speed. He was dressed in his Captain America suit and was already covered in blood. Your surroundings suddenly came into your recall, and you realized where you were. This was the moment that Captain America first killed.
Youâd seen death before. There was no obvious reason for Walker to pull you to his chest, to avert your eyes. Your blood was hot in your veins, filled with adrenaline. The sounds of metal hitting flesh and bone echoed grotesquely in your ears, seeming to never end. âItâs almost over,â he whispered, though you werenât sure if it was more for your sake or his. His entire body shook as he was forced to relive the moment he took another manâs life.
Even after the noises stopped and the scene reset, he held you to him. His breath continued to come in rasps, refusing to settle. Instinctively, you brought a hand to the nape of his neck, settling your fingers into his short hair.
"John, we need to go," you reached up to whisper in his ear. You looked into his glossy eyes, watching as they finally focused on you. "We need to go through the fountain before it goes again." He nods, allowing you to lead through the crowd.
The screaming had begun again, so you had to be quick. The ripple in the water was small, but you knew it would break you through. "You're gonna have to trust me," you said, gaining a small nod of approval. That was all you needed. With your hand still in his, you jumped into the fountain, pulling Walker behind you.
You hit the ground hard, knocking all the air from your lungs. It wasn't often someone landed a hit on you, let alone knocked your air out, so the feeling caught you off guard. Immediately, you threw yourself upright, gasping in air that refused to expand your aching lungs. "Shit," Walker panicked, immediately moving to your side. He set his palm on the center of your back, rubbing circles. "Just breathe, you're okay."
"I'm okay," you whispered.
"Shh, just breathe."
As you caught your breath, you took a look around. You had emerged in what seemed to be a hotel bathroom. It looked just about like any hotel bathroom you'd seen in your many years of life. The bathroom wasn't what you remembered about that night. As soon as you stepped into the bedroom, the memory overwhelmed your senses. "I'm gonna be sick," you gagged, running back into the bathroom.
"I don't know where we are right now," Walker said, still taking in the room.
You rasped in a breath. âThis is mine.â
The hotel door flew open, a man and woman stumbling in. You barely recognized yourself, but you'd recognize the face of that man anywhere. He wasn't a good man by any means, but had done nothing to warrant what happened next other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He knew just a little bit too much about someone with enough money to make him disappear.
And you were sent to make that happen.
You pulled him to the bed, throwing him down before climbing on top of him. His hands dragged up and down your skin, far too fast and hard to possibly be pleasurable. Still, you had moaned at the time, throwing your head back and grinding further into him. You'd needed to sell it to get him to remove his trousers. When they'd finally hit the floor, you excused yourself to the bathroom to 'freshen up'. The syringe was in your purse, already filled with the perfect amount to stop the man's heart. It sank into his thigh easily and only took a moment to take effect.
They'd paint it as an overdose. There was a whole crew of people in the cleanup department, and they were just as good at their jobs as the widows were at theirs. You didn't have memory of that, thankfully, and the scene reset with you walking out of the hotel room, shutting the door quietly behind you.
"I found the ripple," Walker finally said, refusing to meet your eyes. You'd forgotten he was there, witnessing the worst moment of your life right beside you. You nodded, throat too tight to say anything.
It was in the mirror again. With a single hit from the butt of his gun, it shattered, revealing the rest of your team on the other side. Walker led you through, fighting his way through as he did. This room attacked you, but quickly settled.
Bucky was the only to realize youâd come through together, scanning both of you before catching your eyes and quickly diverting his. Walker still hadnât dropped your hand.
Nor did he as you crossed through the rooms of Bobâs memory. Even as he shot Bobâs abusive father, his other hand was still encapsulating yours.
You were separated in the final room. Yelena and the rest of the team were talking Bob through his struggle with the Void, but Walkerâs eyes never left yours. You were panicking, and he could tell. The feeling of entrapment was pulling you back to your punishments in the Red Room, to the suffocation.
âYouâre okay,â he yelled. âJust breathe. Itâs almost over. Just breathe.â
You couldnât breathe. Not while you were confined. The edges of your vision blurred. You could barely see Walker now. He was fighting against his restraints, eventually ripping through them. Then he was at your side, releasing you.
You gasped, drinking air into your lungs as quickly as you could. âCome on now, we need to get the hell out of here.â He helped you up, wrapping one of your arms over his shoulders to help you walk. âI got you.â
The moment you touched Bob, it was over. You woke up back in sunny New York, the entire thing no more than a nightmare. You stood, despite the dizziness you felt at the sudden change. Walker stood close to you, studying you before turning to Bob, who looked finally back to normal.
âYou were great in there, Bob,â he said, possibly the first genuinely kind words heâd ever said to the man.
âAh, thank you,â Bob smiled. Then his face scrunched slightly. âIn where exactly?â
Everyone shared the same what the fuck look, before he spoke again. âSorry, Iâm just a little fuzzy.â
Yelena shook her head. âWeâll deal with that later. First, we deal with her.â She pointed to Valentina, immediately hunting her to the other side of a large tarp. You followed, emerging to at least a hundred reporters.
âWhat the fuck?â you whispered to Walker, who just shook his head.
Then the bomb dropped. The New Avengers bomb. The one that trapped you to this for the rest of your life. Your life that was somehow entirely different than it was this morning. Including a brand-new room in your new home, the fucking Stark Tower.
None of this sat well, leading to your thoughts overwhelming you when your eyes wanted nothing but sleep.
It was half past three when you heard the knocking. It was soft, not nearly enough to wake you had you been asleep. You werenât asleep, though, and you were sure that the man on the other side of the door knew exactly why.
You didnât bother to crack it first, instinctively pulling it all the way open. âWalker,â you give a false smile. âHave your nightmares brought you to my door?â
He smiled back, though it was tinged with sadness. âDonât they always?â
You swing the door open, all the invitation he needed to follow you inside. You pat the bed for him to sit down. Heâs hesitant, but eventually does. Itâs barely a faux-pas when the bed has only been yours for a few hours anyway. âIâm sorry you had to see my shit, Walker. If Iâd known weâd go in together, I never wouldâve gone.â
He shook his head. âIâm the one who should be apologizing. You had to relive it and I did nothing. I shouldâve gotten us out faster.â
âI wouldâve just seen it tonight anyways. I see it every night.â
âWas he your first?â
âIn a way. He was my first mission. The first death on my hands happened long before that.â
Walker said nothing now, just watched as tears started to brim.
"I never wanted this," you choked out. "I never wanted to be a fucking superhero." You laughed through the tears. "Not that I ever was one."
"You've done good, no matter what you want to believe."
"I was a Widow for seven years before Natasha and Yelena shut the program down. I wasn't the best fighter or manipulator, so I had to use my body for most of my missions." You took a deep breath. "The man I killed wasn't a bad man. He didn't threaten the planet or even the Black Widows themselves. We were outsourced, Walker. I killed that man because it was in my boss's financial interest."
"You didn't have a choice," his nostrils flared.
"We always have a choice."
"And we've all made the wrong one before."
The words pain him to say and for the first time since his rooms, you can tell he's hurting. "Why'd you kill that man?"
It took him a moment to find the words. âI had just taken the serum. I knew they had Lemar and it seemed like the only way to save him at the time. I watched as he was kicked through a support beam and it just took the life out of him. I literally saw the light leave his eyes. And then I was left with one of the people responsible and I just⌠acted.â He took a deep inhale. âAnd even now, I donât regret it. In every lifetime, Iâd kill him in that square. I know it's the wrong choice, the one that will lose me everything. But I will make it every time.â
"Then it's not the wrong choice, John."
âIsnât killing always the wrong choice in their eyes? The powers that be who decide if weâre good or bad?â
âI donât think itâs that simple.â
âIt is to them.â
Neither of you spoke for a long time.
"I don't want to do this anymore," you said softly, wiping your tears before they could hit your cheeks.
"You're done then. It doesn't matter what the fuck Valentina said. She's on a short fucking leash, anyway. You'll stay here with Bob and live a normal fucking life because you deserve it."
You shake your head. "That was never going to be an option for me, Walker, and you know it." You turned to face him, jaw quivering as you fought back the pain you never allowed yourself to feel. "I have no identity, no family. The Red Room built a weapon they never planned to remain on this planet. The incinerator would've been a kinder death than the one planned for me. I wasn't built to stick around for the long run."
Walker stared at you for what felt like ages. His breathing was steady now. âI could be your family,â he whispered.
Your lip quivered. âYou donât mean that.â
âI donât say anything I donât mean.â
âYou could be free from me, Walker. Free from all of the shit I carry. I could leave right now and you'd never see me againâ
âIâll never be free from you. I think you know that.â
Heâd always been kind to you on your missions with him. Youâd expected coldness from him but was always met with warmth. Probably more than anyone youâd ever known.
âIâm not a good person, John. Iâve done worse things than most people can think up.â
âThen let me help carry the burden of them. Just let me in.â
Neither of you would be the first to move, both too scared the other would run away. That this was some sick joke.
âDo you trust me?â he asked, voice small.
âWith my life.â
Slowly, he brought one hand to the side of your face, caressing your cheek with his thumb. It was gentle, and soft, and nothing youâd ever experienced before. Anytime youâd been close to a situation like this before, it had been rushed and sloppy and ended with someone dead.
No one rushed you now, not even John. You had a feeling he would be content with just this. He wouldnât push you, not when he was so intimate with your past. Especially not now that heâd lived it.
You leaned in first, slowly, giving him time to retreat. He didnât. Once you were close enough, he pulled you in, meeting his lips to yours. He grabbed a fistful of your hair as he kissed you, switching between grabbing and releasing as he melted into you. His other hand was restless, trailing over your arm and side, wanting to touch as much of your skin as he could.
You were much more still, content to wrap your fingers in his hair and hold it within your grasp. Especially once he let out a small groan when you pulled on it.
It had been so long since you'd been touched like this, since you'd been touched at all. You wanted more. Wanted to erase the memory of what you'd been forced to do with a memory of what you chose to do.
Your hands moved from his hair to the buttons of his shirt, quickly working them through the buttonholes.
"Stop," he whispered, holding onto your hands. "We should stop."
"I want to," you said, voice shaky.
"I know. Just not tonight. I don't want to rush."
You couldn't even argue, you were too spent. "Stay with me?" you asked, shimmying under your comforter.
He nodded in concession. The mixture of his warmth and the sheer exhaustion of your body immediately welcomed in sleep.

Plot: It's finally time to break the news to the team that you and Bucky are, in fact, dating. They don't take it well, but not for the reason you'd expect.
(A/N: Fun Avengers tower stories are back, y'all. I did not appreciate them enough the last time.)
Youâd been Buckyâs girlfriend for 4 months. In that time, youâd been sneaking around behind the backs of the rest of your team. It was easier as first. It was so new then, so easily breakable. Neither fully believed it could work.
It started on a mission, a small source of comfort in the midst of the chaos and pain that were your lives. It was rushed kisses and frantic touches, nothing more.
Then, suddenly, it wasnât. A mission went sideways and for a moment, you both thought you were going to die. You had been at opposite ends of the field, moments away from losing your lives. And you couldn't get to each other. When the smoke cleared and your lives somehow continued, everything was different. You wanted to be with him all the time. To have easy moments what werenât tinged with the fear of someone catching you.
It was your idea to finally tell them. Which made the freak out you were currently having so much worse. You didn't know how to tell them. Not one of them had been in a serious romantic relationship since youâd moved in together. Bringing one up felt forbidden. Wrong.
Especially one with your coworker.
Bucky wasnât worried, of course. So many years on the planet and heâd stopped giving a fuck about taboos about twenty ago. You, however, had only been alive for some twenty and change - far less than everyone else in the tower, but especially him.
âArenât workplace relationships, like, a big no-no?â you ask, slightly grounding your feet as you got closer to the living room.
âThis is barely a workplace, doll. And if we had an active HR department, they wouldâve put a stop to Valentina fucking her assistant ages ago.â
You still hesitated, grinding your feet into the ground like a dog who didnât want to go on a walk. âSeriously, what if theyâre all pissed at us.â
Bucky sighed, turning to face you. âHoney, if theyâre pissed at us, theyâre pissed at us. We donât have to do this if you donât want to, but I really think itâs time.â
You wanted to. Obviously. The sneaking around had grown ridiculous. It was worse than your teenage years, the way you snuck Bucky into your room, or vice versa. You tried to space out the nights together, but it was rare you spent one alone. You nodded. âItâs time.â
âThank you,â he sighed, leaning down to place a kiss on your forehead.
You followed him into the living room, where the rest of the team was already seated. Bucky had been the one to call them all in on a Saturday morning, much to the dismay of everyone. Way to start things off on the right foot, Barnes.
âOkay, guys. We have an announcement,â Bucky starts, clapping his hands together to get their attention. You stood at his side, hands nervously clasped together.
âHoly shit did you knock her up?â Walker asks, earning a scowl from both you and Bucky.
âIâm a hundred years old, Walker. I donât think my shit can do that anymore,â Bucky monotones.
âGramps canât get it up,â he leans into Yelena, drawing a fierce giggle from her.
âOkay, fuck you, Walker. Weâre dating,â he says, finally spitting it out.
The response is immediate, a mixture of gasps and disbelief.
âNo!â Yelena protested childishly, stomping her foot. âSheâs mine!â
âNo the hell sheâs not,â Walker chortled. âSheâs as much mine as she is yours, Belova.â
You open your mouth to protest but Yelena beat you to it. âThatâs not true! She fell asleep cuddling you on the couch. She fell asleep cuddling me in my room during a sleepover!â
This was becoming something very different than youâd imagined.
Bob chuckled. âWell, if thatâs our baseline then I guess sheâs mine, too.â
âThat was like two times!â you interrupted.
âShe fell asleep on my shoulder on beach mission trip. Very romantic-like,â Alexei added, exaggerating his words.
âThat was totally different!â
âUh, I was there, too!â Ava chimed in.
âThank you, Ava!â
But she wasnât done. âShe and I split all our meals which is much more romantic-like.â
âI make her tea every morning and bring it to her in bed!â Yelena bursts in again. âAnd most of the time she lets me stay.â
âYou donât cook her breakfast, though,â Walker interrupts. âThatâs all me.â
âShe hates breakfast!â Bob laughs. âSheâs a lunch girl. Which she always eats with me.â
âHey!â Bucky finally interrupted, voice carrying over the crowd. âNone of those things were romantic. She can still do those things with you. Iâm not her jailer.â
âSo we can still kiss?â Yelena crossed her arms, staring Bucky down.
Your jaw dropped. âWell, thatâs a lot different,â Bucky stammered. âAnd why the hell didnât you lead with that?â
âBecause it was one time and it was for a mission!â you exclaimed.
âWhat if we need to do it for a mission again?â she whined.
âI can do it,â Walker chimed in, which caused Yelena to physically recoil. âDamn, okay.â
âIf you two have to pair up for a romantic based act of espionage, which we have to stop doing, by the way, then you can kiss my girlfriend,â Bucky sighs.
Yelena squeals, running over to you with kissy lips. Bucky stops her in her tracks. âNot on a mission right now, Belova.â
âBuzzkill,â she says under her breath. She pulls you to sit down beside her, nuzzling into you. You lean into Walker on your other side, who wraps an arm around you. Bucky pinches the bridge of his nose watching the three of you, his annoyance overwhelmingly obvious.
âYou guys make me sound very promiscuous, by the way,â you complain, crossing your arms.
âYou are,â the two blondes say at the same time. You roll your eyes. âIf Bucky hurts you, Iâll kill him,â Yelena says, still cozied into your side.
âI am right here,â he said, flabbergasted.
âThatâs why I said it.â
You break the rules and become the hero, I break the rules and become the villain.
She hadn't noticed you yet.
Wanda sat at the edge of your bed, absentmindedly tugging at the fabric of your comforter. In her moment of preoccupation, you watched your wife, drinking in her features. Despite her obvious lack of sleep, she was glorious. Her crimson hair sat atop her head, giving her an effortless look that somehow made you even more smitten. "Good morning, darling."
"Oh," Wanda startled. "I didn't know you were awake. I'm sorry."
âDonât be sorry,â you insisted. âI was enjoying a moment of peace.â
âThatâs what that was, when you were watching me?â she smirked.
âPrecisely,â you smiled. âHow did you sleep?â
Wandaâs lips turned up into a tight smile, giving you all the indication you needed to know her next words were lies. âPerfect, as always.â
Wanda had perfected your morning routine. She would help you out of bed and to the bathroom as soon as you woke up. You were still able to move around on your own for short periods, so she was able to prepare a quick breakfast while you got ready. Even so, you groaned as she helped you to your feet, trying to fight off the sudden wave of vertigo that washed over you.
âYou okay, love?â Wanda asked, steadying you.
âYeah, the roomâs just spinning. So nothing out of the usual,â you laughed.
âDo you need me to stay with you up here?â she asked, pushing your hair away from your face.
âNo, Iâm fine, promise,â you lied.
It took you twice as long as it normally did to do your morning routine. Every sudden movement was met with dizziness and every concentrated task took twice as much effort. Wanda was at the door when you finally left the bathroom. With far too much patience, she helped you down the long flight of stairs. When you first bought the house, the stairs were one of your favorite parts. You imagined children one day running up and down it, filling your home with life. Now, it only brought you pain.
âHere you go, sweets,â Wanda said gently, setting down a bowl of oatmeal on the table before you.
âThanks, darling,â you answered, staring at the only other dish on the table. A saucer sat just to the left of your breakfast, covered in drugs of various shapes and sizes.
âLet me get you a glass of water,â Wanda said, placing a gentle kiss onto your temple. While she moved about the kitchen, your eyes remained fixed on the pills that were supposed to save your life. Instead, they were slowly ending it. Once they were in your system, you would be but a shell of yourself, unable to move more than a few inches lest the nausea overcome you. Even worse, the drugs simply werenât working. The doctors hoped it would weaken the disease, but they only seemed to weaken you.
âWanda?â you called out.
âYes, my love?â she responded, immediately at your side.
âIâm going to stop the medicine. I think itâs time.â
âWhat are you talking about?â Wanda asked, her smile immediately dropping.
âItâs not working anymore and itâs draining out all of the life I have left.â
âDr. Conners said it was natural for you to feel like that, it means the medicine is doing its job,â she reasoned.
âNo, Wanda. Iâve been taking it for months now and heâs confirmed Iâm only getting worse.â
Wandaâs eyes brimmed with tears. âIâm not ready to stop trying. I canât lose you.â
âIâve lived a good life, Wanda, a very good life. I donât want to spend the rest of it wasting yours. You deserve a good life, too.â
âI have a good life,â she promised. âI would take care of you for the rest of my life if it meant we got to spend it together.â
You grabbed her hands in yours, pulling them to your lips. âWe both know I donât have long left. I would happily give up a few extra months of suffering to get a few good days with you, Wanda. Itâs all I want.â
Wanda took back her hand, quickly using it to brush away the tears that threatened to fall. âYou take those pills today, weâll talk about it more when I get back.â
âWhere are you going?â
âTo talk to a friend.â
**
It was hours before Wanda returned. She had helped you back into bed before she left, making sure you were as comfortable as possible. In her absence, you spend most of your time sleeping. You probably couldâve slept for a few more hours, but you were jolted awake by the loud slam of the front door. Loud sobs rang through the house, followed by rapid breathing, and then quiet. Wanda deserved her privacy, so you feigned sleep as she opened the bedroom door. âIâm back, my love. Sorry I was gone so long.â
You pushed yourself into a sitting position, fighting through the pain. âItâs okay. Who did you go see?â
âStephen,â she smiled. âI think heâs going to be able to help you.â
âHow?â In the months since your diagnosis, you had tried every remedy on the planet. It was costly, but thankfully Tony had set up the Stark Fund to protect ex-Avengers, whatever need be.
âHe knows of a girl who is able to travel across universes. There must be one out there that has the remedy to save you.â
Your heart fluttered, filled with hope you hadnât felt in months. âWhatâs her name?â
âAmerica,â Wanda smiled.
âIâd love to meet America, to thank her for her help.â
Wandaâs smile faltered. âThereâs only one problem â she isnât able to control her powers yet. I donât know how long it would take to train her, but we really canât afford that uncertainty.â
âWhat are you going to do?â
âIâm going to take her powers to use myself. It will be the fastest way to get the cure.â
âYou can do that?â
âI believe so. I was able to harness Agathaâs.â
âAnd America is okay with it?â you asked.
She remained silent a moment too long. âYou canât take this girlâs power against her will. Itâs not right.â
âNo, whatâs not right is allowing you die while I watch. You really think this girlâs life is more important than yours?â
Wandaâs words turned your veins to ice. âWhat do you mean â her life? What are you going to do to her?â
âWhat I must.â
With every ounce of strength, you stood, grabbing onto your wife. âWanda, please stop. My life is not worth that price.â
Tears stung your eyes as you looked into hers. They were deadest, refusing to look anywhere but you. Her jaw trembled as she spoke. âYes, it is.â
With a flick of her wrist, you were pulled back onto the mattress. The weight of her magic pushed you down, though you donât know if you could even stand on your own. âPlease, Wanda, donât do this,â you cried out.
Your words met deaf ears. âI love you,â she whispered, before exiting your room. You screamed until your throat was raw. When you were unable to scream, you cried, the tears flowing down your cheeks in neat tracks.
Despite the pain, you screamed when the portal opened. Wanda stood at the edge of the portal, fighting both Stephen and a young girl in a blind rage. Your screams caught her attention, distracting her long enough for Stephen to restrain her. âLet me go!â she screamed, squirming in her restraints. While Stephen restrained your wife, the girlâs attention landed on you. âPlease donât hurt her,â Wanda begged through sobs. She snapped her fingers, harnessing her energy into releasing you from your restraints. Even with all your power, you knew you wouldnât be able to save yourself.
The girl stepped through the portal. âAmerica?â you asked.
âThatâs me,â she answered hesitantly, stopping at the edge of your bed.
âIâm Wandaâs wife,â you spoke, quickly adding on your name.
âI figured,â she said with a small smile.
âIâm sorry about all of this. She would do anything for me, even if I begged her not to.â
âI understand. My moms were the same way.â
Stephenâs voice carried through the portal. âI canât hold her much longer, America.â
âWanda,â America called out.
âWhat do you want?â she asked fearfully. âIâll do anything, just donât hurt her.â
âYou need to give Strange the book. Itâs hurting you.â
A dark book fell from her waist onto the ground beside her. âDone. Now please, let her go.â
America laughed. âI was never going to hurt her, Wanda. Iâm going to save her.â
Prompt: The Scarlet Witch will do anything to get back her wife and kids, even if it means killing another version of herself - the version you fell in love with
"Okay, boys, time for bed," Wanda stated as she took everyone's bowls to the kitchen. Your boys had begged for ice cream all day and they finally got their mother to cave in. She could never say no to them - especially when they turned on their puppy eyes. Whatever they wanted, they got.
"No fair," Tommy cried out. "It's not even dark outside!"
"And I'm not a bit sleepy!" Billy added, chocolate sauce lining the edge of his mouth.
"Come here, you," you laughed, using the end of your sleeve to wipe up Billy's extra chocolate.
A crash from the kitchen caused you to jump, pulling both of the boys tightly to you. "Wanda?" you called out. "Is everything alright?"
It took a moment for her to respond. "Yes, love, everything's perfect."
"You two go brush your teeth. Your mom and I will be up in a minute." Thankfully, they agreed and ran quickly up the stairs. Only a moment later, Wanda let out a groan.
"Wanda!" you yelled, running to her side. She had fallen to the ground, shaking profusely. "We need to get you to the hospital. I'll call Nat and she can come watch the boys."
Suddenly, her shaking stopped and she looked up at you, her expression soft. Your name left her lips so softly, like she hadn't said them in years. "I'm okay," she smiled, tears brimming her eyes. "I promise I'm perfect."
"You scared me for a second there," you said, pushing a strand of her crimson hair behind her ear.
"I'm sorry, love. I didn't mean to scare you."
You stood, helping Wanda to her feet. "Ready to tell the boys goodnight?"
Wanda smiled widely. "More than ready." You wrapped your fingers around hers, leading the way up the stairs.
Billy and Tommy had already settled into bed, both looking incredibly sleepy, despite their protests just minutes ago. You sat on the edge of Tommy's bed, tucking him in tightly. "How's that?"
"That's good," he yawned.
"Perfect," you said, standing to kiss him gently on the forehead. Wanda had done the same for Billy. "I love you both," you said, blowing kisses to both of your boys. They caught them, bringing an immediate smile to your lips.
"I love you, too. Forever and always," Wanda spoke, teary-eyed once more.
"We love you, too."
Once downstairs, Wanda pulled you into a kiss. It was soft and passionate, leaving you clinging to her. "What was that for?" you smiled.
"I just haven't done that in a while," she smiled. "I've missed you."
"I was only at the store for an hour," you laughed.
"It felt like much longer."
Her eyes suddenly lost focus, then regained it just as quick. "I need to go somewhere. It's urgent," she insisted.
"Is everything okay?" you ask, your heartrate quickening. Even though she had been officially retired from the Avengers, they still asked for her assistance every so often.
"Everything's fine. I'll be back in no time - I promise."
"Okay, be careful, beautiful. I'll be here when you get back."
With one more quick kiss, she was out the door.
While you waited, you cleaned up the remaining dishes from dinner. When Wanda still hadn't returned, you began to worry. "Tony?" you asked once he had finally picked up the phone.
"It's way outside of office hours, Maximoff. This better be good."
"You're not with Wanda, are you, by chance?"
"Why would I be with your wife? I'm not that scummy."
"No, I thought she might be on a mission or something? She left the house late tonight and I haven't heard anything from her. I was hoping she was with you."
"Sorry, kid. I haven't reached out to her in months. The other guys have been handling crises pretty well these days. If you don't find her soon, call again, and I'll help however I can, though."
"Thanks, Tony. Sorry for calling so late."
Only a few moments after you hung up the phone, there was a loud thud on the front door. "Wanda?" you called out, reaching for one of the kitchen knives.
"It's me," she called out weakly.
"Wanda," you cried, running to the door. When it opened, you gasped at the sight before you. Wanda was covered in blood and had small cuts glittering her body. All that blood couldn't possibly be hers. "Wanda, what happened?" you cried, pulling her through the doorway.
She burst into tears. "I don't know what happened. Someone got in my mind. It was like what Professor X can do, but it definitely wasn't him." She gasped for air. "I killed him, I killed all of them."
"Shh," you soothed. "It's alright." You pushed her bloody hair away from her face. "Whoever was controlling you, are they gone?"
She nodded. "It wasn't just anyone controlling me, though. It was me. At least, I think it was. When she saw you for the first time, I could feel everything. Same with the boys. I felt like I hadn't seen you in years."
"That was her before?"
Wanda nodded. "I tried to take control back, but she was too strong."
"It's okay, let's get you cleaned up and then we'll figure out how to deal with this."
You helped Wanda into the tub, quickly cleaning all of the blood you could off of her. Her cuts appeared superficial, which you were thankful for. "You're not hurt, are you?" you still asked.
"Not physically."
Wanda had only just pulled on a clean set of clothes when you heard what sounded like a tornado downstairs. "Stay with the boys," Wanda instructed before running down the stairs. The boys in question were already at your side, also startled by the loud noise.
"What's going on?" Tommy asked, clinging to your leg.
"I don't know," you answered truthfully, hugging both of your boys tightly.
When you heard the first crash, you bolted down the stairs, baseball bat in hand. Your Wanda lay crumpled against a wall, while another Wanda stood over her. Though she shared the same physical features as your wife, your wife she was not. Her eyes were dark, missing the sparkle that your Wanda always had. You ran to your wife, holding her gingerly in your arms. "Get away from us!" you shrieked at the stranger in your living room.
Billy and Tommy also bundled down the stairs, throwing their toys at the intruder. "Get away from our mom!" they yelled.
"Stop that," she pleaded with the boys. "It's me."
When they ran out of things to throw, both boys ran to your side, standing protectively in front of their mothers. The other Wanda's expression softened. "Please leave us alone," you cried.
Against your wishes, your wife stood, limping to her doppelganger. She said but a sentence to her before she crumpled to the ground. The portal that she had come through swallowed her up, leaving you alone with your family.
"Is she gone?" you asked.
Wanda nodded. "For good this time."
The boys refused to sleep in their own bed that night. You couldn't say you weren't relieved when Wanda offered to let them sleep in yours. They cuddled into the middle of the bed and both fell asleep quickly. Wanda held your hand, reaching over both of the boys. She hadn't let any of you out of her sight since the other Wanda disappeared. "Wanda?" you whispered, unsure if she was still awake.
"Yes, my love?"
"What did you say to her? To get her to leave?"
"What she needed to hear. I told her that you will always be loved. It killed her to see how you all hated her."
"She threatened my family."
"She wanted to be your family, love. She couldn't bear to live without the three of you. My heart aches for her. I can't imagine my life without you, either."
I squeezed her hand. "You'll never have to."
(A/N: Friends, these are the most confusing fics to write. I hope you guys can understand them because I was doing mental gymnastics to describe the Peters without using the actorâs names, and avoid using (Y/N). Also, thank you for all the love on part one. Tobey has always been my fav Peter and Iâm really glad you all liked the last fic :D Anyways, enjoy!!)
Prompt: After finally finding your Peter, you find yourself wrapped up in a terrifying battle in a brand new world.Â
âWow.â Stood before you were three Peters, each distinctly different, but somehow all recognizable as Peter. Even without the Spidey suits, something about the three men before you felt like home. You finally shook off your shock, extending a hand to the Peter of this world, the only one you hadnât met. âHi, Iâm Peterâs wife.â You caught yourself, and then pointed at your Peter. âThat Peter, that is.âÂ
The youngest Peter shook your hand, a slim smile on his lips. âItâs nice to know I get a happy ending in your universe.â He turned towards MJ, who smiled back. âIâm hoping I get one as well.âÂ
âYou will, kid. Weâll do everything we can to help.âÂ
For the three Peters, this consisted of concocting antidotes for each of their enemies. For you, Ned, and MJ, it consisted of getting to know the Peters more, finding out how they ticked. Ned had developed a fascination with your Peter, watching him intently as he worked. âDo you have a best friend in your world?â he asked with a goofy smile.Â
âI had a very best friend, who eventually tried to kill me.â Ned gulped, turning to look at his own Peter in fear. âNow my best friend is right over there, and thankfully hasnât tried to kill me yet,â he said, motioning his head towards you.
âNot saying I didnât put you in copious amounts of danger, though,â you smirked.Â
âIn a convoluted sort of way, maybe. I would die to save your life. Happily.â
Your eyes meet his in a brief moment of calm, before the middle Peter stands, sniffling slightly. âExcuse me,â he said, quickly exiting the room.Â
âIs he ok?â MJ asked, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.Â
âI donât know. Iâll go check.âÂ
Before you left, your Peter caught your hand. âBe careful.âÂ
âAlways am.âÂ
Peter stood at the end of the hallway, pacing slightly as he tried to regain his composure. Sobs raked through his body as he moved quickly, trying to calm himself down. âPeter?â you asked, trying not to startle the man who had yet to look at you.Â
âIâm sorry,â he said quickly, still unable to stop the tears flowing freely down his face.Â
âHey, donât you dare be sorry.â You take a step closer, now within armâs reach. âWhat happened?â
âI had a best friend, my girlfriend, and I loved her so so much. One of my enemies got to her and I wasnât able to save her. She died because I wasnât there.âÂ
âPeter,â you said, wrapping your arms around him tightly.Â
âShe died because I was late by a few seconds. If I were just half a minute quicker sheâd be alive,â he sobbed.Â
âItâs not your fault. We all know the risks of loving Peter Parker. I know it, MJ knows it, and your girlfriend definitely knew it.â you pulled apart from him, so you could look into his eyes. âWhat was her name?â
âGwen,â he said, a small smile forming on his lips as he said her name.Â
âGwen wouldnât want you to live with this guilt, Peter. She loved you, despite every risk of doing so. She wouldnât want the man she loved to be in misery.âÂ
Peter inhaled deeply, taking a moment to regain himself. âThank you for this. Just seeing myself, well my other self, happy gives me some hope. Even when heâs lost in thought, his eyes wander to you. Iâve only known him for a day and I can tell he loves you more than anything.âÂ
You blush ferociously even though you need no reminder of how much your husband loves and cares for you. He was the most attentive man youâd ever known. Every second that wasnât spend saving lives was spend with you. Peter made it very clear that you would never be unloved by him. âDo you think youâre ready to go back in there?â
Peter smiled slightly. âWe have people to save. Iâm ready.âÂ
Within two more hours the antidotes were ready and the plan was made. You were to stay in the school with MJ and Ned, protecting them if necessary. âDo you still have it?â your Peter asked softly, both hands placed on your arms.Â
You nodded. âNever leave home without it.âÂ
Peter kissed your forehead quickly. âThatâs my girl.âÂ
âGood luck,â you called to all three Peters, watching as they crossed through the portal Ned made.Â
Through the portal, you watched the three men for a few moments. Even though the stakes were higher than anything theyâd faced before, it seemed like they found comfort in each other. Your Peter had never had siblings, but now he had two. Your eyes didnât leave Peter until the lightning started.Â
âOkay, Ned, close it,â MJ said, the bright shocks of light illuminating in her irises.Â
Ned kept motioning with his hand, but the portal refused to close. âWhatâs wrong?â I asked.Â
âItâs not closing,â Ned choked out.Â
âHave you never got it to close before?â MJ asked. âYou never have!â
âItâs just always closed. I donât know why now is any different!â Ned countered.Â
âWhy would you volunteer to do it if you didnât know you could!â MJ screamed, flinging her arms in frustration.Â
You were so focused on their argument that you almost didnât see the lizard heading straight toward you. âGet back!â you yelled, pushing both of them safely behind you. As soon as the lizard broke through the portal, you extended your left hand, using the machine Peter had made for you to shoot a bolt of energy into his chest, causing him to collapse instantly.Â
âWhat was that?â MJ screamed.Â
You pulled up the sleeve of your dress to show a wired contraption sitting snugly against my forearm. âItâs a miniature energy-making machine, like what Doctor Octavius was perfecting before it went wrong. Peter gave it to me to protect myself. One shot and whoever Iâm fighting is stunned, at least for a while.âÂ
âThatâs an arc reactor!â Ned exclaimed, shaking MJ at the thought.Â
âA what?âÂ
âI think heâs waking up!â MJ said, pointing to the fidgeting lizard on the ground.Â
âWhatâs going on here?â a man yelled at the other side of the portal. He had salt and pepper hair, with a goatee and a stern look.Â
âDr. Strange,â Ned gulped.Â
In the ten seconds the interaction took place, the lizard had woken up, sending a chilling hiss into the air before charging. âGo!â you yelled, pushing MJ and Ned in front of you. Dr. Strange stayed behind, holding the lizard off somehow.Â
With the wind hitting you and the sight of a thousand foot drop before you, your brain began to fog. You shakily grabbed onto one of the beams for support, breathing quickly and shallowly. âHey, youâre gonna be fine,â MJ said, grabbing onto you. With her support, you made it to the wide end of the structure, the cube held tightly in your hands.Â
âAre you okay?â the youngest Peter asked all of you, hugging his girlfriend tightly.Â
âWeâre fine,â she said a little too quickly.Â
The middle Peter landed beside you. âKeep this safe,â you told him, handing him the box.
The youngest Peter saw it first, âBomb!â he yelled, batting the cube out of his hands and behind you. He wasnât quick enough, however, as the explosion cast each of you forward, into the night sky. Time seemed to slow as you freefell. Your eyes finally locked with your Peterâs, who was currently at the top of the monument. A scream ripped through his throat as he dove for you.Â
There was no way he would make it.Â
He was still a hundred feet away and the ground was growing closer. You closed your eyes tightly, wanting your last sight to be your husband. A gasp ripped through your throat as a pair of arms wrapped tightly around you, pulling you upward. With all the courage you could muster, you opened your eyes. Peter held you tightly in his arms, now standing safely on the ground. But it wasnât your Peter, it was the Peter you had first met on this earth. The Peter who had lost his love in the same way you were almost lost. The Peter who found hope in your husbandâs happiness. âYou saved me,â you breathed.Â
âI did,â he answered, just as breathless as you.Â
âThank you, Peter.â He lowered you to the ground, tears of his own threatening to spill over. âAre you okay?â
âYeah,â he smiled. âI think I am.âÂ
Your Peter joined you not a second later, wrapping himself tightly around you. âIâm so sorry,â he cried.Â
âIâm okay, Pete. I had someone looking out for me.âÂ
Peter turned to his brother, pulling him into a tight hug. âThank you for saving her.âÂ
âI think she really saved me.â
Your Peter pulled apart from the other, turning to look at you. âI know exactly how you feel.âÂ
You blushed, aching to get the attention off of yourself. âSo, itâs over?â
Your Peter shook his head. âGreen Goblin is the only one left. This worldâs Peter has him under control, though.âÂ
âUm, I donât know if he does,â the other Peter said, eyes locked on the scene unfolding before him.Â
âNo,â your Peter breathed as he picked up the goblinâs board. He took off immediately, throwing himself between Peter and the goblin, catching the board before it sliced through the monster behind him. He didnât say a word to his younger counterpart, instead holding the board until Peter threw it down himself.Â
In the second of distraction it took the young Peter to retrieve the antidote, the goblin was able to stab your Peter, bringing him to his knees as a cry of pain left his lips. âPeter!â You ran to him, dropping to your knees once you were face to face. The middle Peter was at your side immediately, casting a spray of webs into Peteâs wounds. He slumped over slightly.Â
âAre you okay?â the youngest Peter asked as he finally joined you, effectively saving each of the villains.Â
âYeah, Iâve actually made it through a lot worse.âÂ
You finally allowed yourself to laugh, pulling each of the Peterâs into a group embrace - making special effort, of course, not to touch your Peterâs wound.Â

Prompt: Youâre Peter Parkerâs wife, and you find yourself in a strange place, with a Peter Parker who isnât yours.Â
âPeter?â He was your first thought as your eyes adjusted to the bright lights of the city. How you got there and when you got there were both unknown to you as you scanned your surroundings. You knew you were in Queens, but some things were just off. There were new holes in the pavement and your favorite restaurant had a new different name now.Â
âPeter?â you ask again, your voice no louder than a whisper in the midst of the city traffic.Â
âAre you lost?â a man asks you with furrowed eyebrows. Heâs quite a bit taller than you, with his fluffy hair adding at least another inch of height. His eyes are kind and you immediately feel drawn to trust him.Â
âKind of? I know where I am, but some things are just different,â you wince slightly. âI know that doesnât make any sense.âÂ
The man laughs. âNo, it does. Trust me, I know exactly how you feel.âÂ
âGood. For a moment there I thought I was going crazy.â You gave the man a handshake as you told him your name. âAnd you?â
âIâm Peter Parker.âÂ
âThatâs funny, thatâs my husbandâs name, too.âÂ
âPeter Parker!â a voice rang on televisions over the city. Each space that should hold an advertisement was filled with a face of a boy who was, again, not your Peter. âWill Spiderman ever be brought to justice?â the voice asked as the screen changed to show half the boyâs face covered in a spider mask.Â
You gasped. âThat canât be right.âÂ
âWe need to get out of here,â Peter said, resting a hand on your back to escort you out of sight.Â
âThat canât be Spiderman! I know Spiderman and that is not him,â you said, trying not to give too much away to the man who was still practically a stranger.Â
âThat makes three then, at least,â he said as he led you into a building.
âThree what?â you asked, to no answer. âPeter, three what?â you insisted, still following him up a long staircase. âThree what?â you finally yelled as you made it onto the roof.Â
âThree Peter Parkers, three Spidermans.âÂ
You crossed your arms. âYouâre Spiderman, too?â
Without a word, he shot a string of webs into the air, that dropped a few feet away from you. âUntil yesterday I was the Spiderman. Now Iâm one Spiderman. Something happened and brought me, and you, here. Iâm sure your Peter is here, too.â He sighed. âSomewhere.âÂ
âWhat do we do?â you ask.Â
âWe need to find Peter - both Peters. Iâve been able to locate a few of his friends, but Iâve not seen him.â Peter looked you in the eyes, a look filled with sadness and fear. âThereâs something else, too.âÂ
âWhat is it?â
âSome enemies crossed over, too. I only recognize a few of them. I imagine the rest belong to your Peter.â
âWho donât you recognize?âÂ
âThereâs a man made of sand, one with metal claws coming from his back, and one with a green mask that can fly.âÂ
You inhale sharply. âAll ours.âÂ
âAll beaten once?â
You nod. âAll dead, except one.âÂ
âSame with mine. I donât think their deaths carry over here. Itâs all very confusing.âÂ
You laugh. âUnderstatement of the century.âÂ
Two days passed with no progress. With all the cash in your pockets, you were able to hole up in a cheap motel at night, spending every ounce of daylight searching for the other Peters. The nights brought only hopelessness. Your mind wandered every possibility, including the bleakest - Peter never crossed and you were stuck here. Your heart ached for him as you lay alone at night for the first time in years.Â
On the third night as you lie alone, Peter sits up in his separate bed, staring intently at the wall in front of him. âWe need to leave,â he insisted.Â
âWhatâs wrong?â you ask as he takes off his outer layer of clothing, revealing his spider suit.Â
âI donât know yet, but I know we need to get out of here.âÂ
Before his hand could reach the doorknob, a shot of electricity burst through the window, hitting both you and Peter. All the air in your lungs left your body as you hit the wall in the back of the room. Static filled your veins, causing each muscle in your body to sting. Everything was blurry, but the shots of electricity were as clear as day. Peter dodged each one, finally managing to entangle the man in his webs.Â
âLetâs go!â he urged, pulling you to your feet. You couldnât stand on your own, relying fully on Peter, who finally opted to just carry you. âIâm gonna swing you now, okay?âÂ
You nodded, holding the man as tight as you could. He used one hand to swing, the other clutching you tightly to him. It must have been miles before he landed, setting you both down in a quiet alleyway.Â
This time, Peter was quick. As soon as he saw the sparks, he pushed you behind him, dropping immediately into a fighting position. These sparks, however, were different. They were circular and opened up to a different location, with two kids staring intently at you. âWhat is that?â you ask.Â
âI have no clue, but I think we should go into it.â
âAre you sure?â you asked, trusting that the intuition of the man matched that of your own Peter.Â
âYes,â he answered before leading both of you through the portal, which closes immediately upon you entrance.Â
âPeter?â the boy asked, a puzzled look on his face.Â
This Peter took of his mask, to disappointed expressions from the rest of the room. âYouâre not Peter.âÂ
âWhy are you in the Spider-Man costume?â the girl asked.Â
âI am Spider-Man, just not from this universe,â he explained.Â
âProve it,â the girl pushed with crossed arms. This time, Peter chose to walk up the walls, landing gently just inches from you.Â
âDoes that prove it to you?â he asks.Â
She nodded. âAnd you are?âÂ
You smile. âNot from around here.âÂ
She smiled softly. âFigured. Iâm MJ.âÂ
Your smile falters. âI knew an MJ once. She was one of the best women I ever met.â After only a moment, you give the girl your name, too.Â
âIâm Ned,â the boy with her smiles.Â
Peter finally speaks up. âHow did we get here?â
âOh!â Ned exclaims. âWe were looking for Peter. Our Peter. I cast a spell and it opened up to you.âÂ
Your heart fluttered. âCould you do it again?â
Ned nodded before raising both hands and circling one around the other. âI wish Peter Parker were here right now.âÂ
In a flash of golden light, another portal opened. On the other side stood the man youâd been missing ever since waking up here. His eyes softened as they met yours, immediately crossing through the portal.Â
âPeter!â you yell. Before the portal behind him closed, you were in his arms. âI thought you were gone.âÂ
âHey, calm down,â he said, gently wiping the tears streaming down your face. âEverythingâs going to be okay.â As he wiped your face, he noticed the gash on your forehead. âWhat happened to you?â
âElectric man,â you murmured, already feeling sleep starting to overcome you.
âElectro,â the other Peter spoke. âHeâs one of mine.âÂ
âHe got to you already?â your Peter asked.Â
âNot even an hour ago,â Peter answered.Â
âDo you have a first aid kit?â your Peter asked Ned, who nodded before grabbing it from under the sink. MJ pushed a chair over to you, which Peter helped you sit on. âThere you go,â Peter said as he dropped on one knee before you. He pulled out a gauze pad and poured a generous amount of alcohol onto it. âThis is going to sting,â he warned.Â
âI can take it.âÂ
Peter laughed before gently pressing the gauze to your own, pulling a hiss through your clenched teeth. âItâs almost over,â he whispered before removing the cloth. He finally covered it in a bandage. âGood as new.âÂ
âI know where we need to go,â MJ says after talking with the other Peter.Â
âThatâs perfect,â your Peter said. âDoes your grandmother mind if she rests here while we go?âÂ
Ned shook his head. âShe can stay in my room. Itâs just down the hall.â
Peter helped you stand and led you to the bed. âIâll be back as fast as I can.âÂ
âI know, Peter. Be careful.âÂ
He kissed you softly as your heart ached for him to stay. âI always am.âÂ
34: âYou come to my room and wake me up at 4 am, to cuddle?â
19:Â âI think Iâm in love with you, and that scares the crap out of meâ
Your heart was beating out of your chest. You picked up your phone to check the time - 4:28. It was clear you would be getting no more sleep tonight. You sat up, contemplating your options. You could wake up Tony and spend a few more hours with him before the mission or try to fall asleep.Â
You made up your mind pretty quickly.
His room was only three doors down but you often found it hard to go there at night. He told you that you were always welcome, but you still wanted to respect him and allow him his sleep. Sleep came so rarely for him and you always did your best not to disturb him. But, tonight was different.Â
You rapped on his door three times, before he answered. âCan I come in?â you whispered.Â
âYes.â
His room was mostly dark, only illuminated by a small desk lamp and the floor lights installed under his bed. His skin glowed faintly, reflecting the soft rays.
âWhat do you want?â he asks, jokingly crossing his arms.Â
âWell, I donât think Iâll be getting any sleep tonight so I thought Iâd come in here and spend some time with you,â you smiled, crawling into bed beside him.Â
âOh, really?â he asked, before you wrapped your arms around him, cuddling into him. âYou come to my room and wake me up at 4 am, to cuddle?â
âYes I did,â you respond.
He sighs, wrapping his arms around you. âYou and I have very different ideas of whatâs supposed to happen at 4 am.â
âHa ha,â you mock, before looking up at him and busting into actual giggles.Â
âWhy are you really here?â
âIâm worried about tomorrow.â
âYouâre going to be in and out in five minutes flat. I promise youâll be fine. Thereâs really nothing to worry about.â
âIâm not worried about me, Tony. Iâm worried about you,â you say, pushing yourself up to look at him. âIâm always worried about you.âÂ
âHey, Iâm gonna be fine. You donât have to worry about me,â he says, wrapping both arms around you.Â
âI do though. You mean everything to me.âÂ
âTrust me, I know how you feel. Iâm always worried that whoeverâs after me will go through you. Itâs the hardest thing Iâve ever had to deal with.â
âI think thatâs an exaggeration.âÂ
âTrust me, it isnât.â He pauses, choosing his words carefully. âI think Iâm in love with you, and that scares the crap out of me.âÂ
You heart flutters in your chest. âI love you, Tony.â While the words had never been spoken aloud by the two of you, you had been aware of them for a while now. You portrayed your love through action, but tonight everything was spelled out. The word âloveâ was able to do funny things to your heart.Â
Tony pulled you closer to him, kissing you on the forehead. âGet some sleep, and Iâll try to, as well. Everything will be fine tomorrow.â
âI know it will. Just be careful.âÂ
âIâm always careful.â
F.R.I.D.A.Y. woke you up only 3 hours later. âGood morning, boss. The plane leaves in thirty minutes.â That was your cue to leave. You got ready quickly, meeting the rest of the team on the roof to board the aircraft. Todayâs mission would be much more difficult than usual. You were only ever called in as backup as Tony hated the idea of you actually on the ground. With telekinesis you could often complete the mission from base, but this time was different. You needed to be close to control them. They were different, stronger, than anything youâd fought before.Â
âItâs gonna be okay,â Tony said as you loaded into the carrier. âI promise,â he said before gently kissing your forehead.Â
You claimed the copilotâs seat, which was reserved only for you. Tony sat in the pilotâs seat, effortlessly navigating the jet until it was safe to go into autopilot. Upon doing so, he reached and grabbed your hand, squeezing it gently. âWeâll be there in ten. You better suit up.â Tony stood. âAnd that goes for all of you, not just the sexy one in the front.âÂ
Cap dropped in first, scanning the primary defenses. Nat, Clint, and Thor went next, with Bruce dropping shortly after. Last were you and Tony - set to go straight into the threshold and disable from within. That was mainly your job, but Tony would never let you go without backup. Like he said, you would be in and out within five minutes. A piece of cake, really.Â
âWhat are we dealing with?â Tony asked as you scanned the area.Â
âIâm not sure. I think itâs a hive mind. No wonder I had trouble reading it before. Itâs incredibly strong, but interconnected.âÂ
âSo theyâre out there fighting-â
âAliens,â you finished for him. âTheyâre fighting a system of interconnected aliens.âÂ
âBeautiful. Go ahead and shut âem down.âÂ
âOkay, but once they feel me in their mind, theyâre going to attack. Every single one of them is going to come straight to us.âÂ
âWell, then, I guess we better be fast,â Tony said, closing his helmet. âAlright team, you all need to make your way back to us. And you better beat the aliens.âÂ
âAliens?â Nat asked.Â
âWhat do you mean, âaliensâ?â Cap added.Â
âAlright, go ahead,â Tony said, giving you the all clear.
Your middle and pointer finger on your left hand connected to your temple, while you placed your right hand onto the ground, sinking your energy into the core. It was tiring and painful, and itâs affects were deadly. You were only ever called on scene to capture or kill, and both took a hefty physical and mental toll on you. When your waves connected to the hive, you could feel its pain. It crept into you the way your powers crept into it. The pain and anger boiled in you, ripping a scream from your throat. You could hear commotion surrounding you, but it was blurry and undecipherable. Every ounce of strength you had surged out of you, until, finally, it was calm.Â
You collapsed onto the cool ground, aching for sleep, but your mind stayed conscious - slowly allowing your surroundings to sharpen.Â
âCome on, youâll be okay,â you heard Nat say in the distance.Â
âWe need a med team to our current location. Quickly,â Steve added.Â
For who?
You tried to sit up, but your vision blurred and mind ached. âYou just need to rest,â Clint said, clearly to you this time.Â
âWhoâs hurt?â you ask, squeezing your eyes shut in order to numb the incessant throbbing. Â
âEveryoneâs fine. You just need to rest now. Weâre getting out of here soon.âÂ
You opened your eyes quickly, fighting off the pain that was building in your head. At the other side of the room, Tony sat against the wall with something metal lodged in the right side of his stomach. âTony,â you called out weakly.Â
âHey, sweetheart,â he responds, voice as weak as yours. âAre you okay?â
Your head is getting light and the room begins to darken around you. âIâm okay.â You begin to slump over, but Clint catches you and lifts you into his arms. âTony, I-â you say, before losing all consciousness.Â
Youâre in the medical ward of the Avengers facility when you finally wake up. Your head and arms have multiple cords attached to them, hooked up to a variety of machines. They all beep at different times, further disorienting you. âWhereâs Tony?â you ask one of the nurses writing down your vitals.Â
âHeâs in another ward.âÂ
âCan I see him?â
âHeâs recovering now, miss.âÂ
The machines beep rapidly as you begin to raise your fingers to your temple. You had sworn long ago never to use your powers like this, but you were desperate.Â
Desperate and stupid.Â
The nurse looked at you for only a moment before sticking a needle in your arm, immediately returning you to sleep. When you wake next, Tony is at your side. You cry out his name and reach out for him, aching to be in his arms. âEverythingâs okay,â he says, holding you tightly.Â
âI shouldnât have tried to control that nurse. I was just scared. Iâm really sorry,â you cried into his shoulder.Â
âI know. They expected you to react like that. Thatâs why she was ready with the tranquilizer.âÂ
âI donât know what came over me.âÂ
Tony pulled you away for a moment to look you in the eyes. âIf I couldâve made someone let me see you, I wouldâve in a heartbeat. Donât feel bad. Everythingâs fine.âÂ
You sink back into his chest, a sense of calm washing over you that hadnât for ages prior. âI love you.âÂ
Prompt: Peter begs you to go on a road trip with him, and you finally agree.Â
âYou are not spending spring break in your dorm eating cheese fries. Not like last year,â Peter states.
âFirst of all they were cheese sticks so I need a formal apology on my desk by Monday.â
Peter sighs. âIt is Monday.â
âExactly, get chopping.â
Peter shakes his head, realizing what youâre doing. âStop trying to change the subject!â
You giggle. âBut itâs so easy with you.â
âPlease come with us. May is like, probably your biggest fan in the whole world.â
You contemplate. âI do love May.â
âAnd you love me.â
âDo I?â
Peter gasps, throwing a pillow at you. âOf course you do!â
After you stop laughing, Peter locks eyes with you. âPlease come with us.âÂ
You sigh. âFine, Iâll go.â
Peter breaks into a smile and pulls you into a hug. âYou wonât regret it!âÂ
âLast one,â you state, handing Peter your suitcase. He had insisted on loaded the car himself. He stood back to admire his work.Â
âLike a glove,â he states, shutting the trunk.Â
âIt wouldâve been much easier if Ned didnât bring two huge bags,â you state, crossing your arms.Â
âHey! For your information one of them has all my school work in it. Some of us were assigned work over break, unlike you,â Ned retorts.Â
âI didnât chose your major, buddy,â you state, clapping him on the shoulder. Ned rolls his eyes and the two of you climb into the backseat of the car.Â
âIs everybody ready?â May asks, jumping into the driverâs seat. Peter sits next to her, a smile etched on his face.Â
âYeah!â you all cheer. May chuckles before pulling out of the driveway and onto the road.Â
You fall asleep after Nedâs fourth knock-knock joke, Peterâs eighth pun, and the ninth play of All Star. When you wake up, the car is parked. Ned shook you slightly and you sat up, becoming aware of your surroundings. You were at a hotel. You got out of the car and stood beside Peter at the trunk. He handed you your bag and you accepted it with a quiet âthanksâ. After the car was unpacked you went to the front desk where May checked you all in.Â
âWhere are we exactly?â you ask.Â
âNorth Carolina,â Ned answers. âHalfway to Orlando.â
May walks over to the three of you, key cards in hand. âWhat do you kids want to do? We can order pizza or find a restaurant close by..â
âPizza,â the three of us said instantly.
âThat was quick,â May laughed. She unlocked the first door, while Peter unlocked the second. The two rooms were adjacent, so you could be close, but not too close. You set down your suitcase before running to Peterâs room and jumping onto his bed.Â
âWhy did you take a nap? Now you have too much energy, and we all know thatâs when youâre most annoying,â Ned states.Â
âFirst of all, rude,â you state. âAnd second of all, itâs not my fault I got bored when you two nerds started talking about math. You know I canât even add right.â
âSheâs right. I took math with her in high school and she thought 15+8 was 24.âÂ
âThat was one time!â you exclaim. âAnd it caused me to almost fail our final so you know itâs a sore subject, Peter.âÂ
Peter raises his hands in surrender. âOkay, okay. Maybe we can go to the pool after pizza or something to burn off all your extra energy.âÂ
âOR,â Ned begins,â you could go now, so she falls asleep before she eats six slices.Â
âWhy did we bring him again?â you asked Peter.Â
âIâm going to go get changed before you two start throwing hands,â Peter replied, going into the bathroom.Â
âWho does he think he is?â you ask Ned, before returning to your room.Â
May was on the phone so you took care to be extra quiet as you went to the bathroom to change. You walked out with a towel around your waist. Peter stood in the doorway between the two rooms, already changed. âThe pizza will be here in 45 minutes,â May announced. âIâm guessing youâre going swimming?â
âYeah, weâll be back in a little bit,â Peter replied.Â
âOkay, donât get into any trouble. Oh, and Peter, take your cell phone. If something comes up, call me.â Peter nods, showing her the phone in his hand.Â
The three of you exit the room. âSheâs really protective of you, isnât she?â you ask.Â
Ned laughs. âYeah, you shouldâve seen her face-â
âNed!â Peter yells. âStop talking!âÂ
âOh, right, sorry.âÂ
âYou two are so weird,â you state, throwing your towel on an empty chair.Â
âYouâre the one whoâs friends with us,â Peter states before jumping into the pool. You sit on the edge, allowing your legs to adjust to the cold water. Ned had already gotten into the hot tub. He hated the cold more than both of you.Â
Peter emerged, rubbing the water out of his eyes. âItâs really not that bad.âÂ
âThen why are you shaking?âÂ
âWhy arenât you?â
âBecause Iâm smart and decided to adjust to the water before I jumped in.âÂ
ââSmartâ. Sure,â Peter laughed. He swam backwards to the edge of the pool, then beginning a set of laps. You watched how quickly he moved through the water, soon getting enough stamina to jump in yourself.Â
You emerged with a yell. âPeter, itâs freezing in here!âÂ
âI wouldnât say freezing,â Peter began, swimming over to you.Â
âI would. I canât feel my toes!â With that, you splashed him. He gasped, and retaliated. You wiped the water from your eyes and continued splashing until you saw the looks from the adults staring at you.Â
âIâm going to the hot tub,â you said, climbing out of the pool. You sit across from Ned, allowing yourself to sink into the hot jets.Â
âHad enough of Parker?â Ned asks.Â
âYeah, I didnât want to babysit any longer than I had to.âÂ
âAre you guys talking about me?â Peter asked as he sat down beside you.Â
âWe would never talk about you!â you exclaim, while gently nodding your head in Nedâs direction.Â
âHey!â Peter said, gently pushing you.Â
âKidding! Kidding!âÂ
After a few more minutes, Peter looked at his watch. âPizzaâs probably here by now.âÂ
The three of you waddled back to the room, trying not to slip on the slick floors. Peter knocked on the door and May quickly opened it. âItâs about time you got here. I almost had to eat it all by myself. Now, go get changed before you get water on the carpet.âÂ
You emerged a few moments later in a loose shirt and shorts. Joining Peter on the bed, you grabbed a piece of pizza. Peter flipped through channels and you settled on a cooking show.Â
âNo way is that guy a real chef. Look how bad he flavored his dish,â Ned exclaimed.Â
âNed, weâre eating cold pizza at 10 p.m, I donât think we have much room to talk,â you replied.Â
âThey just announced that he was the faker,â May said, eyes glued to the t.v.Â
âCalled it!âÂ
After you finished off the pizza, you decided to call it a night.Â
You woke up to Peter standing over you. You gasped and pushed yourself up. You looked over to see May still asleep. âPeter, what are you doing in here?âÂ
âNedâs snoring and Iâm about to drill a hole in my skull.âÂ
You sighed. âWhy didnât you just wake him up?â
âI did. Four times.âÂ
âGet in, I guess. But, sleep on top of the sheets so we donât touch. Donât need May getting any ideas.âÂ
You felt the bed indent as Peter laid beside you. âGoodnight (Y/N).âÂ
âGoodnight, Parker.âÂ
When you woke up again, it was to an empty bed. Peter had presumably left before everyone else woke up. After a quick shower and change of clothes, you returned to your bed. Peter sat beside you, waiting on Ned to finish getting ready. âWe need to be out of here by ten, so we can meet Tony in Orlando by seven.âÂ
âWhoâs Tony?â you ask.Â
âStark,â May replied.Â
âOh.âÂ
âAs soon as Ned is ready-â
âWait, why are we meeting Tony Stark?âÂ
Everyone just stared at you for a moment and you started to wonder if you were the crazy one. Doesnât every college student just invite superhero billionaires onto their trips to Disney World?
âRemember, I had the Stark internship when I was in high school. He hired me as a full-time employee and now weâre like, super close,â Peter explained, a bit too nervously if anyone asked you.Â
âAh yes, because you always invite your boss on vacation with you.âÂ
âHe goes on vacation with all of his employees.â At this point in your conversation, Ned and May had found convenient ways to exit the room.Â
âWhy are you lying to me, Peter. I thought we were close,â you say, only exaggerating a tiny amount.Â
âWe are close! And Iâm not lying, I-â
âPeter, did he pay for this trip? Because I hadnât really thought about it up to this point and I know that you didnât buy them because weâre all broke college kids.â
Peter sighs. âOkay maybe he did. I donât want people to know that he and I are that close so I donât go sharing that information with everyone,â Peter said very quickly.Â
By then, the information had all clicked in your head. Of course. The answer was so obvious. âIf I tell you, you canât tell anyone, though. Promise?âÂ
âObviously, Peter. I already connected the dots. Youâre-â
âSpider-Man,â Peter nodded.
âTonyâs secret nephew,â you said simultaneously.Â
The two of you stared at each other for a moment, both floored by the others statement. âYouâre Spider-Man?!â you practically screamed. Peter put his hand over your mouth. âCan you keep it down. As much as I would love for the entire hotel to know, it kind of defeats the point of a secret identity.â
You pulled his hand from your mouth. âWhy didnât you tell me?â you asked, now at a much lower volume.Â
âBecause I didnât want you to worry or put yourself into danger.âÂ
âPut myself into danger? Youâre the one who went to space, Peter!â
âShh, (Y/N)!â
âOkay, sorry. You were right, I am worrying a tad. But thatâs only because I love you.âÂ
You and Peter both registered your words at the same time. Peter was the first to speak. âI didnât want to tell you because I love you.âÂ
You smile gently, blissfully unaware of everything that would come next.Â

Prompt: Set during CACW. You are Tonyâs daughter and Buckyâs girlfriend. You have defended Bucky diligently, even against your father. However, when you realize what happened to your grandparents, things change.Â
âMask on, (Y/N),â Tony said. Your mask retracted over your face and you followed behind your father. Tanks lined the wall, each filled with a person who appeared to be sleeping. As you approached, you could see a bullet in each chest.Â
âIf itâs any comfort,â a speaker called out, âthey died in their sleep. Did you really think I wanted more of you?â
You glanced at Bucky. He held a gun to his shoulder, ready for a fight. His jaw was set. âWhat the hell?â he murmured, readjusting the grip on his gun.
âIâm grateful for them, though. They brought you here.âÂ
Lights turned on, revealing a man behind a glass wall. You had the same reaction as your father. Both of you raised your fist, preparing to fire at the man. Steve threw his shield at the glass, but it simply ricocheted back to him.Â
âPlease, Captain, this was built to withstand hundreds of rockets.â His voice was calm, unphased by the four people in front of him.Â
âIâm betting I can beat that,â Tony says, stepping closer to the window.Â
âOh, Iâm sure you could, Mr. Stark. But then youâd never know why you came.â You glanced at your father, whoâs eyes didnât leave the manâs.Â
âYou killed innocent people just to bring us here,â Steve says. He stands face to face with the man.Â
âIâve thought about this for over a year. Studied you. But now that youâre standing here I just realized - thereâs a bit of green in the blue of your eyes. Nice to find a flaw.â
âIs this about Sokovia?âÂ
âNo, Sokovia was failed long ago. This is about a promise.â
âYou lost someone,â Steve tried to reason.
âI lost everyone. And so will you.â
You turn to your father once more, and this time heâs staring back at you. âPlease stay behind me.â You nodded, changing your stand to be shielded by your fatherâs armor.Â
You hear a click and see that a small computer has turned on, revealing text in a language you didnât know. You move a step closer.Â
âAn empire toppled by itâs enemies can rise again. But one which crumbles from within? Dead forever.â
The screen shifts to a video from a security camera of a road at night. You dropped your mask so you could properly view the video. âI know that road,â Tony states, staring intently at the screen. âWhat is this?â he yells. Your eyes remain glued to the screen. A car flies into a tree, destroying the entire front of the car. You gasp at the impact. A motorcycle turns the corner and a man jumped off. He looked like..
Bucky.Â
You turned to look at the man. He slowly made eye contact with you and you could see tears brimming in his eyes. A man crawled out of the car. He looked familiar, but you couldnât place him from the grainy footage. Bucky picked him up by his neck, looking him in the eye. âHoward!â a voice called.Â
Howard.Â
Though your dad rarely spoke about his father, you knew his name. It was your grandma that Tony loved. You had heard your dad tell story after story of his mother and your heart ached for the woman you never got to meet.Â
âHoward!â your grandmother called. It only took two hits for Bucky to kill your grandfather. Tears streamed down your face as you looked at the dead body of a man who should have been in your life. Your body shook as he drug him back to the car, throwing his body in. Bucky slowly walked to the other side of the car, reaching in to strangle your grandmother.Â
The man you loved - the man you were willing to fight your own father for - had killed your grandparents. You stared at Bucky, your eyes red and swollen. You heard Tony and Steve behind you, but everything was blurry. You took a step closer to Bucky.Â
âIâve fought for you all this time and you knew that you killed my grandparents. And you didnât even tell me.âÂ
Bucky doesnât even react. You aim both blasters at him and fire, knocking him to the ground. Youâre hit from the back and fall to the ground, all of your air knocked out of your lungs. You gasp for air. Tony shoots a pair of cuffs on Steveâs feet as he picks up Bucky and slams him into a wall. Steveâs shield easily breaks off the cuffs, allowing him to run to Tony. His blasters crack and a wall of radiation flies off, causing a tower to collapse in on itself.Â
Bucky runs, using the distraction to his advantage. âIt wasnât him, Tony,â Steve says, blocking Bucky. âHydra had control of his mind.âÂ
âMove,â Tony yells. You catch your breath and fly to your fatherâs side. Tony flies off the ground, intent on catching Bucky. Steve catches his boot, but you fly into Steve, making him lose his grip. You both fall to the ground. You quickly roll to your knees, aiming your hands at the man, ready to fire.Â
âIâm not going to fight you,â Steve says.Â
âWrong choice.â You fire, but Steve jumps to the next railing, trailing Bucky. You look up to see Tony shoot Bucky, but Steve jumps in before he can. The small missile ricochets and hits him in the chest, briefly losing power to his suit.Â
âDad!â you scream, flying to his side.Â
âThis isnât going to changed what happened,â Steve said, looming over Tony. He stood.Â
âI donât care. He killed my mom.âÂ
Your body reacted for you. With tear stained cheeks and swollen eyes, you allowed a mix of your reflexes and your AI to fight. Bucky tore at Tonyâs chest, creating a blast that tore through Buckyâs metal arm, as well as a large section of your real one. You screamed, the blast knocking you to the ground. Tears blurred your vision, but you could see that your father knelt over you. A string of curse words left his mouth as he assessed the damage. âItâs going to be okay, look at me,â your father breathed. âItâs going to be okay.âÂ
âWe need to make a tourniquet or sheâs going to bleed out,â Steve states, cutting off the sleeve of his shirt. He kneels beside you, wrapping the fabric around the top of your arm. He begins tightening and you cry out in pain. Your father wraps his arms around you as you cry into his shoulder. After one last excruciating turn, itâs complete. You lean against Tony, who still has his arm wrapped around you.Â
âCan you stand?â your father asks. After a small nod, youâre both on your feet. Beside you, Steve hoists up Bucky.Â
âI should have told you,â Steve states.Â
âIt doesnât matter now. Itâs over. Weâve both made mistakes,â Tony states. âBut you saved (Y/N)âs life. And I think weâve all had enough fighting.âÂ
âLetâs go home.âÂ
Prompt: You were pregnant during the snap with Steveâs daughter.
You felt useless. After all the missions youâd gone through at Steveâs side, you could only watch the most important. From withstanding the ice together, to marriage, to now a child, you had been with Steve through it all. You stood at the top of a building in Wakanda, far enough not to be targeting, but close enough to see the fight below.Â
âHeâs going to be okay,â a woman said from behind you. She was kind enough to allow you to stay in her home. She was much older than you, long past her fighting days.Â
âI hope so. Heâs a fighter, for sure. Sometimes too much of one, Iâm afraid.â You turn to look at the woman, but she was gone. âHello?â you ask. You open all of the door in the apartment, finding no one. Fear begins to cloud your senses. You return to the main room, looking out the window. The fighting had come to a still. You turn back to the chair the woman was sitting on. A small pile of dust was in her place.Â
âNo, no, no,â you murmur, your hands shaking. Your hands flew to your ear, pressing on the earpiece Steve had given you. âPick up, pick up, pick up,â you cry.Â
â(Y/N), are you alright? Where are you?â Steve asked, his voice shaking.Â
âIâm still in the apartment, but the woman disappeared, and thereâs a pile of dust and,â you gasp, allowing your sobs to force their way through you, your entire body shaking.Â
You sink to the ground, holding your head in your hands. You heard the door open behind you and soon Steve was on the ground with you, pulling you into his arms. âShh, itâs alright. Itâs going to be okay. Itâs going to be okay.âÂ
You shake your head. âNo, itâs not, Steve. Half of the population is gone now. Isnât that what you said?â Steve nodded slightly. âWhat are the odds that all three of us made it through this?â
Steve places a hand on your stomach. âDonât even think like that. Our daughterâs fine. I know she is.â Tears well in Steveâs eyes.Â
âI canât feel her, Steve,â you choke out.Â
Fred stood and pulled you to his side. âCome on, letâs go get you checked out.âÂ
The hospital was filled with those wounded from the battle. There was barely an open bed. Steve held onto you, rubbing your shoulders as you held back tears. A doctor came up to you, quickly firing up an ultrasound. He placed the machine over your stomach, searching for any sign of life. He smiled, tuning in on a heartbeat. You let out a sigh of relief and turned to Steve, tears still visible in his eyes. âSheâs okay.âÂ
Steve nodded, pulling you into his chest. âEverythingâs going to be okay.â
Prompt:Â Imagine Bucky and Steve being super protective of you during fights even though you're also an Avenger
You were the Avengerâs secret weapon.Â
In your spin-off Iron Man armor, you appeared to be just a person in a suit, like Tony and Rhodey. You were just a fighter in a suit to the enemy. No one suspected someone with telekinesis to be hiding behind the mask. You gave the team info straight from the mind of the enemy. No one suspected a thing and you were usually in an out without a scratch.Â
Today was different.Â
While you flew in behind Wanda and Vision, you realized you were needed for more than your mental abilities - the team truly needed backup. You flew down to your two immediate concerns - Steve and Bucky. You had known them since childhood. While Steve froze in the ice, you and Bucky were trained for Hydra. They were the ones to give you your telekinesis.Â
âWhatâs happening?â you ask, you and your AI both on alert.Â
âWe canât see them. There are energy senses but theyâre far and diluted. Itâs like theyâve cloaked themselves,â Tony said in your ear.Â
âI can hear them. And theyâre not far. They are right on top of us,â you say, your voice barely a whisper. âHavenât worked out if theyâre alien or just using alien tech.âÂ
With the words barely past your lips, beings form out of nowhere. âSpoke too soon. Definitely alien,â you say, before raising your blasters and firing.Â
With Steve and Bucky behind you, you began taking on the aliens. Kill him raced through your head, the words directed at Bucky. You fell to his level and your armor formed a shield in front of you. âWhat are you doing?â Buckyâs voice rasped. âYouâre going to get yourself killed!â
âNo,â you say, pausing as the legion begins to shoot at your shield. âYou are.âÂ
You continue on, protecting your boys from imminent death. Slowly, the lines lessened. You had won. You drop to the ground, allowing your helmet to disappear. âGood job as always, (Y/N),â Bucky says from behind you. As you turn, a blast hits your chest and you crumple.Â
Tony quickly blasts the alien and the three men run to your side. âHowâs she looking F.R.I.D.A.Y?â You donât hear the response, but arenât too hopeful as Tony begins piping grey material into your gaping chest.Â
âYouâre going to be okay, (Y/N),â Steve says, cradling your head.Â
âWalk it off,â you echo his old words. He smiles, tears blurring his eyes.Â
âCome on, doll, there is no way youâre dying on my watch,â Bucky says, hands grasping yours.Â
Tony retreats, presumably calling orders. Youâre left with your two oldest friends. âItâs been a good run, boys,â you say.Â
Sheâs dying, Steveâs thoughts echo.
You sniffle, holding onto Steve and Bucky tightly.Â
Help is miles away, Tonyâs voice adds.Â
âYouâre going to be fine,â Steve says, sobs raking his body.Â
I love you, Buckyâs voice says, his mind barely a whisper. Your hand reaches up to stroke his face. âI love you more.â
Buckyâs body collapses onto yours, pulling your chest to his. His body is shaking, and tears now stream down your face as well. Bucky picks you up, his quavering arms shaking your weak body. You allow your suit to collapse into your necklace, lightening his load.Â
âFly her to the nearest hospital,â Bucky demands.Â
Tony shakes his head. âSheâll never make it.â
You stare up at the three men, their figures becoming blurry. You try to etch into their minds, but you canât pass through. Your eyes flicker shut, the world turning dark.Â
Prompt: Imagine going to college with Peter Parker and having to stay with him when you get locked out of your dorm.
You pounded on the door to your dorm, anger beginning to swell inside of you. "Let me in, Jessica!"
"We are studying!" she yelled back.
"I have a test at 8 tomorrow, can you 'study' at his dorm!"Â
You waited for the door to open, or at least for them to reply, but nothing happened. Hot tears blurred your vision as you walked away.Â
There werenât a lot of places for you to stay. Most of your friends had already finished their exams and had headed home for the winter. You were only here because the chemistry professor had been sick and couldnât proctor your exam.Â
Then it hit you - Peter.Â
Peter was your lab partner in chemistry and quickly became your best friend. He was great in the class and could explain things to you easily. You took the stairs down a flight and emerged on his floor.Â
You hesitated. Was this a good idea? You knew that it wasnât. You really didnât have any other options, though. So, biting down your fear, you knocked on his door.
Peter was in his pajamas when he opened the door. "Hey, my roommate locked me out. Can I sleep on your floor?"
Peter rubbed his eyes. "Why would she lock you out?"
"She had a boy over and they were 'studying'," you state, shaking your head.
Peterâs eyebrows knit. "Yeah, you can stay here. It sucks that she locked you out before the biggest test of the semester."
"Tell me about it. I donât think she even realizes what a big deal college exams are," you say, accepting a blanket from Peter. You sat down, leaning against the wall. âThank you.âÂ
Peter smiled. âYouâre welcome.â He looked at you, his eyebrows knit. âAre you going to sleep in that?â
You looked down at your outfit. You were still in jeans and a sweater. âYeah, I guess so.â You let out a small laugh.Â
âWow, your roommate sucks,â he said, opening his closet. âHere take these.â He threw you a sweatshirt and a pair of sweatpants.Â
âAw, thanks, Pete,â you say, heading to his bathroom. You quickly change and return to Peterâs room, finding him already in bed.Â
âAw, arenât you cute,â he states. You tilt your head and smile sarcastically before laying on the floor. âGoodnight, (Y/N).â
âGoodnight, Peter.âÂ
You woke up in the middle of the night to Peter talking to himself. You slowly stand and walk to the edge of his bed. Beads of sweat are covering his forehead and his body is thrashing frantically.Â
âNo, please donât. Please stop!â he begs.Â
âSh, Peter, itâs alright,â you say, trying to calm him down.Â
âDonât hurt them! Donât hurt her!âÂ
âPeter, youâre okay, nothingâs happening,â you say, holding onto his arms.Â
âI wonât let you kill them!â he screamed.Â
âWake up!â you almost scream, shaking the boy.Â
Peterâs eyes snap open and he sits up, pushing himself away from you. He was shaking and his breaths were ragged.Â
âYou had a nightmare. Youâre okay. Everyone is okay,â you say, placing a hand on his arm.Â
He rubs his eyes. âThank you.âÂ
âYouâre welcome. Do you think you can get back to sleep?â
âMaybe. Can you stay with me for a bit. Just a few minutes. My mind is still going crazy and Iâm afraid that if I canât see you, youâll disappear.âÂ
You nod, climbing into his bed. âCome here,â you say, pulling the boy into a hug. You gently run a hand through his hair, hoping to calm him down. âEverythingâs okay. I promise. Youâre okay. Iâm okay. Mayâs okay.âÂ
He nods, but you can tell heâs crying. âWhy donât we lay down?â you ask. Peter nods slightly and you move so that youâre laying beside him. âThere. Now, try to get to sleep.âÂ
âThank you,â he murmurs, before closing his eyes. Slowly, the two of you drift to sleep.Â
You woke up, this time, to a blaring alarm clock. âPeter, why is that so loud?â you ask covering your ears.Â
âIâm a heavy sleeper,â Peter answers, quickly turning the alarm clock off. You groan and fall back into the pillows. Peter removes the blankets from the two of you, allowing a wave of cold air to hit you.Â
âPeter, itâs freezing,â you state, now sitting up.Â
âExactly. Get dressed.âÂ
You groaned. âI only have my old clothes. People are going to think that we slept together.âÂ
Peter laughed. âWell, technically, we did.âÂ
âYou know thatâs not what I meant!â you laughed, throwing a pillow at Peter.Â
âWell, you can always wear one of my sweatshirts or something,â he suggests.Â
âOnce again - people are going to think that we slept together,â you laughed.Â
âWell, theyâre going to think it either way, so do you want a clean shirt or a dirty shirt?â
You glared at the boy before taking one of his shirts into the bathroom and quickly changing. When you got back into his room, Peter was already dressed.Â
âTook you long enough,â Peter joked, slinging his bag over his shoulder. âAlso,â he said, his tone now serious, âdo me a solid and donât tell anyone about last night.âÂ
âI wonât.â Peter smiles, relief flooding over him. âNow,â you state, âletâs go ace a chemistry test.âÂ
Request:Â Imagine fighting along side Bucky and Steve on Team Cap in Civil War
Just when you thought things couldnât get worse, Spider-Man showed up.Â
You let out an audible sigh as Peter flew in, stealing Steveâs shield. Bucky glanced over at you, his eyebrows knit in confusion. You shook your head, pinching the bridge of your nose. Peter Parker was your best friend. He was also terrible at hiding the fact that he was Spider-Man. After you caught him brewing up spider webs a couple times, you put the peices together.Â
You, of course, didnât tell him you knew. You also didnât tell him that you were an official Avenger.Â
Tony had been your mentor for as long as you could remember. You could summon fire, and turns out your parents didnât enjoy you burning all their furniture. So, the got into contact with Bruce Banner, knowing he was experienced in cases like yours. From then on he and Tony began developing tech to allow you to control it. A few years and a lot of practice later, you became a member of the team.Â
You stared down at Peter, who was trying to web up Steve, but someone else beat him to it. Suddenly, he began swinging towards Bucky, Sam and you. âAlright, move,â Bucky said, breaking into a sprint. You had almost made it to the stairs when Peter broke through the glass and kicked Sam to the ground. You ran to help him up while Bucky threw a punch at the boy, which he caught.Â
âYou have a metal arm?!â Peter exclaimed. âThat is awesome dude!â You shot fire at Buckyâs arm, causing it to heat up to a point that Peter let go. âYou shoot fire? Thatâs the coolest thing Iâve-â Sam cuts him off as he flies at the boy. You begin running again and make it to the stairs. You and Bucky make it to the bottom and reunite with Steve.Â
You stop, facing Tony. You grimace a bit as you realize that Peter is, once again, in his line-up.Â
âWhat do we do now, Cap?â Sam asks.Â
âWe fight.â
Steve makes the first move, going straight for Tony. Your target is Peter. If something were to happen to him, you would hate yourself. âHey! Youâre the fire shooter!â Peter exclaimed as you ran at him. You create a wall of fire, pushing Peter away from the fight.Â
You glance over your shoulder and see Bucky and Steve running towards the quinjet. Both TâChalla and Natasha are running after them and your stomach drops. Your fire momentarily stops, but itâs long enough for Peter to react. He shoots a string of webs at you, knocking you to the ground. The impact of the fall causes your mask to fly off.Â
â(Y/N)?â Peter asks, standing over you.Â
âNever heard of her,â you say, igniting your hands to burn off the webs.Â
âWhat are you doing here?â he asks.Â
âI could ask the same to you,â you pull off his mask, âPeter.âÂ
âHey!â he exclaims. âHow did you know it was me?â
âYou were developing web fluid in science for like three months. Donât get me off-topic. Why are you here?â
âTo protect you. Mr. Stark sent me here to make sure you didnât get hurt. Granted, I didnât know it was you, just the girl in the red suit.âÂ
Peter began to say something else, but you werenât listening. You saw that Steve and Bucky had escaped to safety. All that was left was the few of you still fighting. Everything seemed to still once they left. Tony was practically running towards you.Â
âHow could you do this? You know I canât protect you if youâre fighting against me.âÂ
âHow could I do this? Are you kidding me? You told me yourself that if the government got hold of me then they would experiment on me.âÂ
Tony sighed. âAnd you just threw yourself into the hands of the government. If you signed then I would still be involved. Your parents would still be involved. You would still be involved. We would still have control.âÂ
Tears burned in your eyes. âSo am I going to jail?â you ask, your hands shaking.Â
Tony shakes his head. âNot if you sign. If you let me handle all of this everything will be fine.â You hesitate. âTrust me. I promised your parents I would never let anything bad happen to you.âÂ
âOkay.â
Tony smiles. âGreat. Peter can you take her home?â
âOn it, boss.â Peter wraps an arm around your waist before shooting a web, allowing the momentum to carry the two of you far away from the fight.Â

Request:Â So I just watched infinity war and I feel so broken and would love some Thor fluff to cheer me up if itâs possible???
(A/N: literally disregard everything that happened after AOU, I know itâs not accurate)
After hours of tossing and turning you had given up. You sat up in your bed. Your eyes had adjusted to the darkness of your room in the Avengers headquarters. You, like Wanda, had just moved in and found it hard to sleep in this unfamiliar environment.Â
Giving up on the concept of sleep, you made your way to the living room. On your left, the sun was beginning to rise. You nuzzled into the couch and watched as the sky was painted by the first rays of light.Â
âI see you, too, are an early riser,â someone called from behind you. Before the man could finish his sentence you had pulled out a knife you had taped under the table and pointed it at whoever was behind you. Your quickly lowered your weapon as you realized that the voice belonged to Thor.Â
âSorry,â you murmured.Â
âItâs quite alright,â Thor said, sitting beside you. âHave you been awake long?â
You laugh slightly. âYou could say that. I never fell asleep.âÂ
âThat explains the bags under your eyes.âÂ
You gently punched him. âOnly teasing,â he answered, a smile covering his face. âYouâre as beautiful as ever.âÂ
A blush crept up your face as you rolled your eyes. âThanks.âÂ
âYouâre very welcome.â Thor scanned the rooms, then met your eyes once more. âAre you hungry?â
You nod. âStarving.âÂ
âNow, these are delicacies. By far the best dish Iâve ever come across. Infinite possibilities, all good,â Thor said, staring at the toaster.Â
âThor, itâs a bagel.âÂ
âYes,â Thor answers, still entranced by the toaster. As soon as the bagel pops up, Thor grabs it. âOw, ow, ow,â he murmurs, quickly moving the hot object to plate.Â
You let out a small laugh. âThor, you could just wait a bit for it to cool.âÂ
âYou are no fun,â he said as he slathered cream cheese on the bagel.Â
You shake your head. âMaybe not.â Thor gently smiles down at you before biting into his breakfast. You turn to put your own bagel in the toaster. When you look back at him, he has cream cheese covering his beard.Â
This time you couldnât suppress your laugh.Â
âWhatâs so funny, Lady (Y/N)?â Thor asks.Â
âYouâre a mess, Thor,â you reply. âLet me help you.âÂ
You wet a paper towel and jump onto the counter. You sit eye level to him. You were never as tall as him and it felt unnatural to be at this angle. You gently start to remove the cream cheese from Thorâs beard, careful to not smear it. Thor studies you as you do this. Your eyebrows are knit, and your eyes donât meet his.Â
âDone,â you say.Â
âThank you,â Thor replies.Â
You muster a small smile. âThank you,â you reply. Thor gives you a confused look. âFor being kind. You immediately welcomed me in and Iâm thankful for that.âÂ
âWell,â Thor began, âyou are very welcome.â
Request:Â Imagine staying on Wakanda with Bucky before the war starts
Bucky going in the ice still rings in your mind. It has been six months since you left Wakanda. You wanted to stay. You pleaded with Stark, but he couldnât help you. You knew that. After the team broke up the government wanted all of you confined to a small area. So, you left.Â
After the Sokovia Accords, many of the team left. Most had free range if they checked in. Steve was gone altogether. You had no where to go and stayed in the Avengers tower with Tony and Rhodey. They were the two constants. Everyone else filtered in and out.Â
âMs. (Y/L/N), Mr. Stark requests your presence in the dining hall,â F.R.I.D.A.Y. calls into your room. You groan before pulling yourself out of bed. Tony waits at a long table with Nat at his right.Â
âYou might need to change,â Natasha stated, eyeing your pajama shorts and old t-shirt.Â
âWhy? I never leave this place.âÂ
âOkay, you donât have to. Bucky probably doesnât look much better himself,â Tony states.Â
âBucky?â you almost whisper.Â
âShuri thinks heâs ready to wake up,â Natasha explains. âTâchalla invited you and Steve to see him.âÂ
You want to cry. It had been half a year since you saw Bucky and in an instant you would be back beside him. You ran to your room to get dressed. Before you could even stop to process, a jet was waiting for you. Inside was Steve, who you quickly joined. As you looked at the man you once knew, you saw how much he had changed. He was growing a beard now and seemed sharper than before. When he looked at you, however, he smiled.Â
âHow have you been?â
âBetter now,â you state.Â
You wanted to catch up with the man who used to be your best friend, but the words didnât come to you. The closer you got to Wakanda, the faster your heart raced. Your jet broke through the tree line and you couldnât help the smile covering your face.Â
You barely waited for the jet to land before you were on the ground. âHello, Captain,â Tâchalla greeted as you and Steve approached.Â
âThank you for this,â Steve said, shaking the manâs hand.Â
He simply nodded. âHeâs right inside. Shuri is still running tests.âÂ
Your heart jumped. Tâchalla was already walking inside and you stepped closely behind him.Â
Bucky was sitting on an exam table with many monitors hooked to his body. His eyes connected with yours and a smile overtook his face. You ran to him and wrapped your arms around his frame. He wrapped his arm around you tightly and pulled you to his chest.Â
âBucky, please let go of her so I can finish your tests,â Shuri said, but you could hear the laugh in her voice.Â
Bucky released you and you stood beside him. As you watched Shuri quickly analyze Buckyâs vitals and brain scan, you felt a pair of fingers interlock with yours.Â
âOkay, everything seems to be okay. Your brain is still healing and it needs time to rest. Weâve rebooted it, but we canât be sure it will last,â Shuri states, her brother now standing beside her.Â
âWhat are you suggesting?â Steve asks.Â
âI think he should stay here in Wakanda. Thereâs a secluded area to the north of the border where he can live.â
âFor how long?â you ask. You thought that he would come home with you - that you could restart your lives. Your heart shattered at the thought of leaving him again.Â
âI donât know,â Shuri admits. âMaybe a year, maybe two. Only time will tell.âÂ
Tears began to rim your eyes. Bucky squeezed your hand. âCan (Y/N) stay with me?â he asks.Â
Shuri nods. âWe donât believe youâre brainwashed anymore, but I also donât think youâre hostile. I think it would help you if she did.âÂ
Bucky looked up at you. âThe choice is yours.âÂ
You smile. âLooks like youâre stuck with me, then.âÂ
You loved living in Wakanda. You and Bucky had a small hut near a pond that the children loved to play in. You were never lonely, unlike the secluded room you had in the tower.Â
The sun was setting over the pond, casting an orange over the dark water. You sat on the grass beside Bucky, his arm wrapped around you. âThis is all Iâve ever wanted,â you say, looking up at the man you loved.Â
âYouâre all Iâve ever wanted,â Bucky states, leaning over to kiss you on the forehead.Â
Buckyâs eyes lock with yours. The orange of the sun reflects off his pupils. Heâs painted in the light of the setting sun, and you canât look away. âWhat are you looking at?â he asks gently.Â
âYou,â you state. âI love you so much.âÂ
âI love you, too.âÂ
