"I guess not. Let’s just go get something to eat, alright?"

"Sounds good to me."

"I’m really glad you like it. I-I just hope it’s not too nerdy.. I went with DS over necklace.."

"Not too nerdy at all. You know me so well."

"We don’t have to put a label on it, I just want to know we’re on the same page. Generally people who love each other do more then have zombie movie marathons and go on Disney movie binges-Well, they can, but there’s something there. I mean.. I could be wrong, but generally that turns into a kissing thing and if that happens this whole just friends thing isn’t much of an option." 

"I really don't like commitment. I kind of like what we have going. It's a good dynamic, why do we have to change any of it."

"Oh thank god, I was pretty worried you wouldn’t like it.. It’s red, ya’ know.. Like your favorite speedster-I thought while I’m out doing my thing, you might be able to.. I don’t know.. I thought you might like it." 

"Well of course I like it. It's from you! My favorite speedster."

"It’s a simple question. I don’t see why you can’t just tell me if you want to be more then what we are, or if you want to just stick to this awkward I-know-we-love-each-other-but-we’re-not-doing-a-thing-about-it thing."

"What we are? I don't think it's that awkward. Why do we have to put a label on it?"

"Oh-That. Yeah, that’s from me. Do you like it?"

"Yes. It's really beautiful."

"You know you’ll have to give me an answer eventually. Then we can get over the emotional blah that you dislike so much." 

"That's what you think."

"What? What am I being serious about?… Yes?"

"Is this from you?"

"Will I ever get a definitive answer from you?" Either way, she started to walk, assuming they’d go to just about the only place they ever went to eat out. 

A small laugh fell from Parker's lips. "Don't count on it." He mused as he followed her.

"Sure? Really? Sure? You really just have no other response? Come on, help me out here.. I guess w-we could go out, like on a date.. See how things go? You just told me you love me, obviously something’s changed.” 

"I-yeah. That's... Mhmm. Let's go."

"That’s a damn shame, and I thought we’d have a lovely time. You’ve never had a problem with my cuddling before," Shai teased and  stood back upright, but didn’t move from his doorway. "You mean on the trail we blaze? Or is that Dream Works?"

Parker laughed as he slung his bag over his shoulder and moved to where she stood in the doorway. "El Dorado is definitely dreamworks. I was thinking to infinity and beyond, or Adventure is out there or something."

"Instead of me cooking? I-I didn’t mean like a date if you don’t want to. I meant.. Are we friends? Are we going to try for ya’ know..We’re in this awkward just knowing phase and it’s eating away at me-and now you’ve got me rambling. Start talking so I don’t continue to make a fool out of myself.."

"I- uhh... sure?"
