Today, myself and Evan DiGi (guitarist in my band) had the opportunity to perform and speak about the music business to young musicians attending the Summer Music Academy for Real Teens (SMART) at the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center. We were so impressed with their knowledge about the music industry and by their curiosity and savvy questions which challenged us both to look inward and take a survey of exactly how we're "making it" in music. The questions varied from copyright interest to how to strategically create, market and sell music. What an impressive and insightful group. I left thinking, this generation will really revolutionize the music industry!

Hello Beautiful People, I'd like to share a very special project and cause that I'm working on this summer. Until now, I had no idea about the impact of deforestation in theAmazon Rainforest and how it affects the world's ecosystem. Honestly, I'm still learning about it and trying to understand the magnitude of what this means for me, my family, my community, the future of our world and what I can do from this part of the globe. Some of my dear friends from Rhythm Of The Universe (ROTU) invited me to help them raise awareness around this environmental cause supported by the Amazon Aid Foundation. Good Morning Friends, Support Take The Test Boston! "Take The Test Boston", affectionately referred to as T3B, is a week-long, urban-community, HIV-testing initiative. Today, I'll be volunteering at STEPRox Recovery Support Center where FREE, confidential HIV testing is available. My Angel Wears a Fro has partnered with Safer is Sexy and a diverse group of community leaders (health and service providers, social, civic, and faith-based organizations, business, media, residents, activists, and legislators) concerned with the impact of HIV/AIDS and health inequity in our communities. Our goals are: • Mobilize the community to take action by engaging non-traditional organizations to support community health initiatives; • Inform communities of color of the importance of knowing their HIV status; • Bring HIV-testing resources into the community in non-clinical settings; and • Reduce stigma around HIV and HIV testing. Fisher College will also be holding a fundraising concert tonight featuring musical artist Shea Rose at Alumni Hall, also located at 116 Beacon Street. Doors will open at 7:30. The show is open to current students of the Colleges of the Common, which includes Emerson College, Suffolk University, Bay State College, Berklee College of Music, and Boston Architectural College. Students must show a current college ID upon entry.
