I feel like people forget that one piece is a political drama /adventure anime with fights in it and not a fighting anime. why are you power scaling the characters in a show that actively makes fun of power scaling????
the entire bit of the cp9 is a group that cares so much about their special moves and secret attacks and Luffy is just like "oh so like this?' and copies them they second time they fight.
also people who say Usopp is useless like??!!? you are comparing him to his GOD CREWMATES!!! he's SUPPOSED to be the human, everyman. he's not GOING TO "get better" the same ways other characters are, He's always going to be on that human trying his best level and that's the ENJOYMENT OF USOPP!!!! also ur racist if u dislike usopp.

like. who genuinely cares. Oda sure doesn't care and like. those two would NEVER GET IN A SERIOUS FIGHT. they are too GAY and like. it fully nulls how much Zoro actually does respect Sanji as a rivel, he holds rivalry in such high regard like. you not seeing it all as a love language, gay or just friends, is part of the issue with this mindset.

people who forget this show is a silly slice of life adventure show with fighting in it and make it all about the fights make this show so un enjoyable. like the fights are amazing, the fights are part of it. its still a shonen anime with big epic fights but like.
and like. Im not there yet, im still in enies lobby so a WAAAAYS to go but i feel like this is such post time skip behavior. when the show isn't showing the main strawhats just vibing anymore, you forget they are just chilling most of the time.
and like. the fighting is cool! the powers and stuff are all cool af and my friend I'm watching with obsesses about them all the time. but like. that's never been the POINT. stop thinking in this fighting mindset, it waters down the everything else that's more important.
i also feel like when you focus on the fights and not what the fights stand for or why they are fighting, you forget this show is A POLITICAL DRAMA and u water down everything. there are fuckers who genuinely will scream online that op isn't political as if enies lobby just. didnt happen, a direct act of war. you watch a geocide happen. they actively declare war on the government.
