Now hear me out: Franco and Carlos driver swap. It makes sence, in my head it makes sence.
Cause to be honest, with the performance Williams is showing, I don’t think they would be able to keep any of their drivers for next year (unless nobody else offers them a sit) which means we are looking at a possible future Williams rookie lineup. While James still has Carlos he could him trade for Franco, who already has experience and understands the Williams team dynamics. Plus he costs less than Carlos and brings sponsors (assuming Williams needs to make budget cuts).
I know is not as simple as that, but before Carlos leaves, James could call Briatore to negotiate a swap. Cause there is no way that man does not want Carlos Sainz in his team. The only downside I see is that Carlos might not wanna go to Alpine, so he might refuse the swap.
