like a fairy tale

[Sometimes he’s surprised that he can make jokes about it all things considered. But he pushes those thoughts out of his head in favour of reluctantly hoisting himself out of bed.]

[ A yawn, pushing tangled red hair away from her eyes. She's considered moving quite a few times in the past--But this apartment's grown on her; it's no penthouse, but it's warm and comfortable, and Jasmine gets her own room. So she's perfectly alright with that. ]

Hm? Oh, no, it's alright. Toast would be nice, though, if you don't mind.

[It was said as Evan turns over and tugs her closer to him, wrinkling his nose slightly when some of her hair tickles it. He chuckles quietly before kissing the top of her head.]

[ Ah yes. Humour. At least she's still got that. She probably makes vampire jokes over breakfast. That's probably something she does, if she even eats breakfast. (She probably mixes blood in with her tea to avoid stomach aches). ] 

Oops. Busted. Majorly busted. 

[ Assuming she's not met him this old before (which, probably, is the safest thing to be doing), she's got no idea who he is. He's still an infant--Or, perhaps he's a toddler now. Time flies when you're immortal, and all that. ]

Oh…Amy. Amy honey. No. That was never it. I…Of course you’re good enough. 

[Reaching for her hand he kissed each of her knuckles.]

Was stupid, are stupid, it doesn't really matter.

I don't forgive you, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to. But I love you, and I don't want to leave you. 

[Winter stands back and laughs quietly as she watches Jasmine toddle towards Amy with a giggle of her own. Jasmine is patting her mother’s cheek and already babbling on about seeing her and Jude.]

Oh I know! ‘S crazy. An’ she’s pretty speedy too.

[Jude’s wings moved quickly as he took everything in while his mother gave Amy a nod.]

[ And while Jasmine's stringing together words in sentences, Amy's cracking internally at how much time has gone by, and how much of her daughter's life she's missed. They need to figure out something--Like, Creeper and Winter can have her one week, and Amy can have her the next. Something that doesn't involve long periods of time where she doesn't get to see one of her parents. ]

[ Wings--Those are--How didn't she notice them before? Must've been all the fuss and excitement over Jasmine. ]

[He does exactly that, kneeling in front of her and staring up.]

[ She laughs, though it doesn't sound particularly happy. ]

Oh, I don't know, I'm sure you could do much better than that.

[ A sigh, as she shakes her head absentmindedly. ]

[At Amy saying it was safe to come in, Winter grinned and nudged the redheaded toddler inside while carrying Jude in her arms.]

[ At the sight of Jasmine, there was something in her eyes that lit up. And for the first time in, god knows how long, Amy was smiling. An actual, proper smile. With all this chaos in her life, her daughter's just about the only stable thing. And she's missed her so much.

On seeing her mother, the child stumbled forward, as Amy scooped her up and held her, for the first time in forever. ]

You're so heavy--Soon I won't be able to lift you at all! [ She's talking to the child, peppering her face with kisses. ]

And, [ turning back to Winter ] --This must be Jude. Gosh, he's gorgeous.
