Lmao at every person who complained that LWJ is boring. He IS supposed to be a boring person. Even WWX thought so. BUT what's wrong with it? Can't someone like a boring person? Why can't he be popular? He always makes WWX happy, and his "boringness" complements WWX's personality well.

no one is pretending wwx is innocent, literally most people think he's badass when he tortures WLJ and WC with cruelty. People are just saying he's the hero and a good person, this is different from being non-problematic. Most people irl are non problematic but also not good people, because good people do good, non problematic people just don't do wrong. It shouldn't be that hard to understand the difference.

So sick of people complaining that JYL didn’t pay enough attention to JC when she was dying which is just ridiculous in itself, but 1) JYL wasn’t even dying at that point, she was injured, and she was talking to WWX because that was the whole reason she’d been trying to find him in the middle of a frickin active war zone, and because she was trying to calm him down, and b) again, she was injured but not necessarily dying. My pet peeve in mdzs fanfics is mo xuanyu. Wei wuxian has his face and body so I find it awkward as hell if there is another person WITH the same face and body. We don't even know anything about mo xuanyu character. If you gonna write an entirely imagined characterization of him, isnt it better to just write an OC?

I was randomly recommended a video of SVSSS on youtube. I have never laughed so hard in my life! Shen Yuan is a HUGE mood!! WHY DIDN'T I LOOK THIS UP BEFORE?? I immediately went to read the novel. I'm hooked after a single chapter! I love it so much! I got started with MDZS but I didn't fall in love with it this quickly! (since MDZS is my Special Interest of the Year™ I don't think it's going anywhere though)

I know there has already been talk of the entitlement of the western fandom but I think one of the things I hate the most are Percy Jackson AU. This is a CN story, in a CN setting, with CN characters, and people are making them children of European gods. Do you really have to strip them of their culture for your own amusement? Why not make them children of gods from their own mythology? Are you lazy or just racist?

Ironically, CQL Mobile Game's Wei Wuxian Yiling Patriarch clothes single-handedly destroy the entire trashes CQL!Wei Wuxian wear in the drama itself. Oh the irony.

*Some* JC stans are so manipulative, that as a new fan, I felt bad for not liking JC, and forced myself to try and respect him, which is just so not okay, I don’t even know here to begin. Same goes for fans who don’t like other well liked characters. Stop making fans feel bad for not liking characters. If they’re being respectful, it shouldn’t matter. Your fave will not thank you if you harass people, you’ll just prove that you’re a horrible person.

I actually forgot WZL melted JC's core when anon said that's his only purpose in the story, all I remember about him is when he told WWX he's gonna save WC's ass even if it kills him, and he's doing it to repay what WRH did for him, that was badass

This fandom sometimes feel like a bunch of stay at home mom, There are way too many fics that're mpreg and soap opera. Sometimes it feels like they're middle schoolers who just started shipping and find angst and conflicts very sexy

The people who take part in the siege (JC, NMJ, ect) are all responsible for the deaths of innocent people. Either they took part in the killing, or they stood by and let it happen. But what is horrifying is that there’s no way they didn’t know - even if they were under the impression that there really was a Wen army there, there’s no way they didn’t know once they were faced with Granny, Uncle Four ect.

Westerners need to stay the hell away from danmei novels. I cannot stand their morally superior holier than thou attitudes and their western mindset on chinese novels makes me sick. Ughh I really wish the untamed never came out if this was how the fandom was gonna be like

Dropping by this page honestly made me really glad I stay in my fandom corner. Gods yall need to calm down and stop being dramatic over every little thing. Also media consumption and the subsequent experience is subjective, problematic elements in fiction are sometimes deliberate and there to carry narrative themes and build tension, if you've read the translation you've not read the actual novel but an interpretation. Keep that in mind.

I think that the reason why JC fans are so up in arms about the core transfer and him not knowing while they never complain about WWX not knowing that JC lead the Wens away even though WWX would never have agreed to that either is bc they recognize that objectively, JC started to treat WWX like shit post Sunshot&time skip, so they are just looking for an excuse for JC's behavior-if JC had know, he would have acted differently. But JC wouldn't have cared about saving WWX and the Wens either way.

People who say they don’t like WangXian, and say they stayed to finish the novel for other reasons sound so dumb and it’s funny how they don’t realize it. Like, you really stayed for over a hundred chapters of WangXian just for a few chapters of whatever else you wanted to see? You really loved this thing so much that you put up with all that? Sounds kinda sus.

The donghua art style is beautiful and i like the character designs more than the web drama
