Maybe she's not surprised at the direction, but of course she can't help but feel flustered beyond knowing how to describe it, having her hand moved where it was. Right. Yeah, that's...probably an obvious answer. Well--no, not really. There was more comfort knowing for sure what it was Mafuyu felt she wanted, and there wasn't really a more direct, certain way to find out than that.
Kanade always feels a little aware, at least, of her own nervous pulse, but when she can feel Mafuyu's tension and even hear it in the way she picked her words, it's Mafuyu's that takes more precedence over her own. With Mafuyu it didn't feel like it was the usual signs you looked for in anyone else. It was her words, or the subtle changes in her stare, or the little physical tells. It was entirely too easy for Kanade to learn about all of that even quicker when they were living under the same roof right now.
Just...little things. But those were important to her.
Kanade tilts her head to look at Mafuyu's face for a moment. Was she saying that for her, or for herself? Frankly, if anything about this scared Kanade, it was just the idea of messing something up, or making Mafuyu uncomfortable. But Mafuyu herself? Maybe it's silly of her to assume, but she wasn't sure anything about Mafuyu would scare her.
Looking away, she lowered her head until her forehead rested against the front of Mafuyu's shoulder, her other hand for a moment drifting--seeking a heartbeat it came to rest at instead. It's easier to focus on Mafuyu than herself. "Whatever might be different or the same about you doesn't really change anything I think about you. Or scare me, for that matter."
There's a soft exhale, that awkward nervousness still showing itself, even if she tried so hard to not make herself seem like such a...lost little loser. "Well, I guess I am scared of doing something wrong. I'm relying on you for that." She picked her head up again, this time to kiss Mafuyu again for a moment, maybe a small attempt to help her feel more at ease.
"So if you realize you need me to stop, then tell me. A-and...whatever else you want, too. I'm listening."
Underneath Mafuyu's anxiously firm hand, Kanade does tentatively move her own; just a gentle and uncertain amount of pressure at first and a curious run of her fingers against fabric. Her attention is quietly tuned to reactions. Signs of what to do and what Mafuyu did in response, so she could understand what all she was being trusted with here.
