the day was almost over, and tavana wasn’t expecting to see anyone else ( let alone maxie ) waiting in the small office room. yet as he walked in, her light blonde hair immediately stood out to him. as did the unpleasant smell that seemed to be coming from her. her greeting hardly phased him - he had grown used to her bitter attitude. “what happened, max?” he casually asked, a small hint of concern entangled in his tone.

her head tilted to the side as the question left his mouth. “isn’t that the question of the century?” sure, maxie loved blowing things out and proportion ( and this was no exception ), but why was it anyone’s business what happened to her? it wasn’t like they cared, so why couldn’t they keep their mouths shut? “what’s it to you?” she asked, “am i a turn off now?”

“I mean, it totally could,” they uttered whimsically, legs crossing as they leaned against the bench. “Like, that’s kinda life’s thing, showing you that being mindfucked in the middle of a shitstorm is plausibility we have to watch out for.” Their eyes glanced over Maxie then, brow raising at the gown. “Still, if you wanna get it our chest, spill. maxie’s eyes stayed focused on the floor, embarrassment wafting through her. rather than show it, however, the blonde looked up and narrowed her eyes at the other. “what do you think? i puked all over myself because God knows I can’t stomach the fucking people here.” the more people tried talking to her, the more pissed off maxie got and this was no exception. but, at least, this was someone she could tolerate. “i got puked all over.” she mumbled, eyes darting towards the floor again. “i can’t believe i got puked on. what kind of fucking karma...” her voice trailed off.

tommy was forced to go to the nurses office for his lack of alertness – guess his teacher was sick of him falling asleep in class. but truth be told, it was nearly a weekly occurrence for the tall boy to be sent to the office for one reason or another. he didn’t mind though, he loved any excuse that could get him out of class. “hey caroline,” he greeted the school’s nurse, earning a smile from the woman he was on first name basis with. he had spent so much time there, it was hard no to develop a relationship with the people that worked there. sitting down in the only open chair, his nose scrunched up as he peered over to the girl, scoffing at her snide comment. “your one to talk, i’m the poor guy that has to sit next to you … you’ve probably become immune to the scent, but no offense, but you fucking reek,” he breathed out, covering his face with his hands. “you couldn’t stop at the girl’s locker room and shower before coming here?” he pressed on. with none of their mutal friends around, tommy didn’t feel the need to put on a nice front towards maxie.

“there’s room on the floor.” maxie snapped, finally eyeing the boy. of all the people, it was him sitting next to her. she would have definitely preferred the person that puked on her, over tommy. “i don’t smell that bad. i bet i still smell better than every single person you’ve fucked.” she couldn’t help but smile at that comment, “assuming you’ve had sex before. but, now that i think about it, i’m not sure you have.” in truth, she knew she smelled bad. but, shower in the locker room and have some creepy chick stare at her? no way. she crossed her arms over her chest, left leg propped up on her right as she eyed him up and down, curiously. “what are you doing here? piss your pants or got caught being the weird fucking creep you are?”

maxie was absolutely livid. fucking pissed. if you looked at her close enough, you could see small horns shooting out her head because life was really testing her. it was monday and she actually decided to show up to school, not to mention her last class. turns out, the idiot she got stuck sitting with decided to show up sick and vomit all over her clothes. which is why maxie sat with her arms crossed at the nurses office, looking like the devil incarnate. she felt a body next to her and didn’t bother hiding her anger towards them. “as if the day couldn’t get any fucking worse.” she groaned loudly, not bothering to look at her company.
