Late nights on the Marauder lead to dangerous, experimental upgrades to weaponsâŚ
jealous!bad batch boyfriends when you nap in someone elseâs bunk
gn reader warnings: none
hunter
you wake up to him sitting at the edge of the bunk, his stone cold expression softening when he senses youâre awake.
âyou comfy over there?â he rasps, eyebrows slightly raised.
âyeah, i guess i just dozed off,â you yawn and stretch out, sort of letting your leg drape over his lap in the process, âwrecker said i could borrow his bed, heâs such a sweetieâŚâ
hunter wraps a firm hand around your ankle, holding you tight as he caresses his thumb over your skin, a slow and deliberate back and forth that makes you look at him more closely. he meets your eyes.
âcouldâve just taken mine.â
he says it casually, like itâs no big deal, but you catch his envy, the way it sharpens dark stare. you prop yourself up on an elbow.
âi mean, we share everything around here,â you remind him, âi didnât think it matteredâŚâ
his fingers tighten around your ankle ever so slightly. just a squeeze that coincides with the clench his jaw. âit matters to me.â he tugs on your leg, carefully pulling you close until heâs able to scoop you up in his arms and press his forehead down on yours.
âi donât wanna see you in another manâs bed,â he murmurs, brushing your lips together. âand i donât remember ever agreeing to sharinâ you with my brothers.â
you smile a bit, running your hands down the hard, muscular plane of his chest. âyouâre being jealousâŚâ
âhmm, is that funny to you?â he leans in, smirking at the fact that youâre entertained by all of this.
âmhmmm,â you laugh into the deep, open-mouthed kiss he crushes to your lips, closing the distance with a low groan. the kiss is warm and moves slowly, pulling back on your bottom lip in a teasing suck that makes you gasp softly. you take a pause for air, quietly catching your breath as he searches your expression. you look at each other silently at first, weighing your unspoken feelings.
âsometimesâŚi feel bad for always taking up your space,â you admit.
he shakes his head. âwhatâs mine is yours, baby,â he whispers, kissing your forehead. âlong as youâre all mineâŚâ
tech
you donât realize it bothers him until youâre switching off a shift with echo in the copilotâs seat after hours of convincing him to get some rest. tech is sitting behind the controls, startled when you lean down and kiss the top of his head before sitting down beside him.
âyouâve been awake for days,â you tell him, âwould it kill you to sleep for once?â
he answers as blunt as always. âiâve learned to function without it.â
you laugh drily and shake your head. âi can tell.â you fold your legs behind your head and lean back in your seat, sighing comfortably. âluckily for you, i just slept like a baby. so youâre stuck with me.â
his lips curve in amusement, unable to deny that he likes the sound of that. but his jealousy from seeing you curled up in a bunk that isnât his still weighs down on his chest, tightening with discomfort. you glance over at him, surprised by his lack of response. he feels your stare and clears his throat.
âcrosshair isnât one to share his space quite easily,â he says pointedly, âperhaps heâs grown fond of you.â
you stare at him in disbelief before laughing, quickly quieting your sounds when you remember thereâs people sleeping in the back of the ship. âoh, youâre serious,â you realize aloud. tech looks at you like he doesnât understand whatâs humorous about this conversation, his eyes dropping down when you reach over and place your hand over his with a reassuring squeeze.
âgod, for someone so smart, you can be so clueless.â you tilt your head to the side, leaning in a bit closer. âyou know itâs just you and me, right? always has been.â
he laces your fingers together, finally meeting your eyes again.
âthen itâs just my bed youâll sleep in.â
you chuckle softly. âdeal.â
wrecker
you slowly open your eyes to a familiar weight pressed over your side. itâs his long, burly arm wrapped around you as he spoon you from behind, snoring roughly.
âwrecker,â you whisper, rolling over to shake him awake. âcâmon, big guy, i canât moveâŚâ
he startles awake, rubbing his eyes as he collects himself through a sleepy groan. âyeah, baby, iâm upâŚâ
his gaze pauses on you, and he smiles softly. you roll your eyes at how mushy he gets over you, so easily smitten. âdonât look at me like that, iâm a mess right nowâŚâ
he shakes his head and pulls you back into his embrace, kissing the top of your head. âmm, donât say that,â he mumbles, âyouâre always lookinâ prettyâŚâ
you sigh and nuzzle yourself against his warm chest. you canât deny how comfy he feels, especially when youâre lingering on the edge of sleep. âdid you move me here?â you ask him.
âhm? oh, yeahâŚâ he glances down at you as you look up, your gazes locking into place. âdunno what you were doinâ in echoâs bunk, but i didnât wanna wake you up.â his lips quirk into a sheepish smile. âguess i fell asleep, too..â
your eyes soften as you smile back. you touch his cheek gently, tracing your fingertips across his face. âi just wanted to close my eyes for a second. and echoâs bunk is the cleanest.â
wrecker wrinkles his nose at the later half of your explanation. âi keep mine cleanâever since i started sharinâ it with you, at least,â he says defensively. you laugh and press a kiss to his mouth, successfully shutting him up before he accidentally shakes up the rest of the ship with his thunderous voice. his eyes widen before he lets them flutter shut, and his arms come around you tighter as he deepens the kiss, groaning through the way your mouths devour each other in sync.
âi promise iâll tidy up,â he mutters, âif you promise not to jump into anyone elseâs bed.â
you smile against his lips. âjust yours, wrecker.â
crosshair
you know heâs jealous because heâs petty. he never admits such feelings, but the truth reveals itself through his snarkier-than-usual attitudeâthe little game he plays to act like he doesnât care.
âcâmonnn, crosshair, move over a little,â you whisper into his backside, tickling his rough, scarred skin with some light kisses. he doesnât budge, taking up the whole space of his bunk with his lanky body. youâre basically falling off, clinging to him desperately.
âughh, youâre such an ass,â you grumble under your breath.
âhmm, thatâs too bad,â he murmurs slowly. âbetter go runninâ back to hunterâŚâ
his words take you by surprise. you sit up and hover over him, pushing at his shoulders so that heâll roll back over toward you. âis that why youâre mad at me?â
he stares up at you with his mouth pressed in its usual, indifferent line. âwho says iâm mad?â
you climb on top of him. his hands come down on your thighs when you straddle his torso, now face-to-face. thereâs also much more room on the bunk, which is why this position feels familiar, all cozied up despite the impracticalities of his long legs. his gaze is narrow and unimpressed as he looks at you, irritation ticking behind his eyes.
âyouâre jealous.â you lean closer, touching the tips of your noses together. âit wasnât even like that.â
crosshairâs glare deepens. he definitely trusts you and his brothers, but just the mere implication of âthatâ gets his blood boiling. itâs the most irrational anger heâs ever felt, and yet, he canât seem to swallow it down. youâre in his head, and it drives him crazy.
âof course it wasnât.â his spindly fingers trail up your thighs, digging into your ass with a tight squeeze. âthey know youâre off limits.â
you roll your eyes and give him a gentle peck on the lips. âyouâre getting worked up over nothing.â you trace his mouth with a soft smiling spreading across your own expression. âhunter did say it would piss you off, though.â
crosshair scowls. âas if you all donât bother me enough.â
you kiss him again, giggling a bit. âaww, but you love it.â
he cradles the back of your head and pulls you in. your lips touch right as he whispers, âonly when itâs you.â
echo
youâre pleasantly surprised when he brings you something to drink in a cute mug, watching you with worried eyes as you sit up and take a long sip. his hand strokes down the side of your face softly, his voice even softer while saying, âyouâve been more tired than usual lately.â
you shake your head and glance up at him. âitâs just all the moving around. iâll get used to it.â
he doesnât look convinced, but heâs also not the type to boss you around on how to take care of yourself. âyou know thereâs always space in my bunk anytime you need some rest, right?â
âmhm,â you nod, smiling as he takes the mug back from you to set it aside. âi wish you used it more, to be honest.â
he chuckles softly and shrugs your concern off. âeh, thatâs all right. i donât sleep much anymore.â his eyes soften when he notices your frown, and he tilts your chin up with the pad of his fingertip.
âyouâre not a bother around here,â he tells you, somehow seeing right through you before you can even begin to shed some vulnerability. he pauses and shakes his head a bit, sighing at himself. âitâs silly, butâŚwhat bothers me more is seeing you in someone elseâs bed.â
your eyes widen. you didnât expect him to care about something as little as this, but looking at him makes you realize that heâs being truthfulâthe way he always is.
âi didnât knowâŚâ you say, âiâm sorry. i wasnât thinking, i justâŚâ
he leans down and kisses your forehead. âitâs nothinâ to be sorry about.â he hugs you close to his stomach when you rest the side of your head against him, still sitting while he stands over you. his hand strokes down your hair in slow caresses that nearly put you back to sleep again, but itâs his deep, rumbling voice that keeps you awake.
âi just want you all to myself,â he confesses. âgreedy of me, huh?â
âyou can be as greedy as you want. iâm all yours.â
he sucks in a breath. âsay it again,â he whispers.
you giggle quietly. âwhich part?â
he laughs, too, and the sound brings you some relief. âjust the last part will do.â
you glance up at him, seeing that heâs already looking at you.
âiâm all yours, echo.â

Rebels!Wolffe x reader Warnings: none. (War flashback? Nothing graphic) Summary: You briefly met Wolffe sixteen years ago, but he doesn't remember you. A/N: I've never written for Wolffe before, but he was my very first clone crush, so it's way past due for it.
The buzz of mingled voices and shoes hitting durasteel floors echo around you on the balcony overlooking the landing bay. The base is never more alive than when a crew returns from a mission. Everyone is on edge and waiting eagerly to be debriefed on what theyâd learnedâŚand to find out if everyone had made it back. With the Empire becoming more privy to the Rebels movements and more wanted posters and broadcasts going out, it seemed like it had become more rare every day for a crew to return fully intact.
A sigh of relief escapes your parted lips as your eyes land on the one person you never can stop yourself from seeking out. The bright lights of the hanger glint off his cybernetic eye, and the deep scowl on his face makes the long scar on the right side of his face look more pronounced. Commander Wolffe looks more tense than usualâŚif that is even possible. The rigidness of his shoulders is obvious even from your far away perch above the crowd, and the look in his dark eye is a storm waiting to devastate whoever gets in its path.Â
âAre you ever going to, you know, actually speak to him? Or do you just plan to pine away for the rest of your life?â Seila asks, leaning against the railing and giving you a knowing smirk. âYou have that glassy eyed stalker look again.â
You throw her your best attempt at an evil eye. âStop calling me a stalker. Someone is going to overhear you and think itâs true! And Iâm not pining.â
âLove, they donât need to overhear. Everyone has caught you staring at that man,â she laughs, tossing her light blue hair behind her shoulder. âHe has caught you staring at him more than once!âÂ
A low groan escapes you as you bury your face in your hands. Sheâs right, and you didnât really need the reminder. The glower heâd given you two weeks ago in the mess hall is still burned into your brain. Gregor had pointed you out to his brother, and the look on Wolffeâs face was enough to bring a rush of warmth rushing to your cheeks. Youâd looked away instantly, but the Commander kept his eyes on you in your peripheral vision.
âI wouldnât even know what to say to him, Seila,â you tell her.Â
You had been so excited to learn that he was joining the rebellion. It had been sixteen years since youâd laid eyes on him, and you knew he had no clue who you were. Of course he didnât. You had been just some random civilian who he had to get out of harmâs wayâŚand out of his way. He didnât know your name then, and you really doubt he even knew it now, and after months of awkwardly staring at him while trying to think of a way to tell him who you were and what he had done for you sixteen years ago⌠well, youâd overthought it so much that it was easier just to not say anything at all.
âWell, youâd better think of something fast,â she says, pushing off the railing and giving you a shit-eating grin. âBecause your Commander is heading this way.â
You roll your eyes at her. Sheâs done this to you a million times to get a reaction out of you, but youâre not falling for it this time. Glancing back down toward the floor below, you stiffen. For once, Seila isnât just trying to give you a mild heart attack.Â
Commander Wolffe makes his way up the stairs toward you, his face set in utter concentration as if ready for confrontation. Your heart slams against your sternum faster than a herd of stampeding banthas. Wiping your sweaty palms against the fabric of your pants, you straighten up a little to greet him.
This close, he really doesnât look as different as you had thought. Yes, he was older, but he still radiated the same determined, stubborn confidence he had all those years ago.
âWhatâs your problem?â he asks, crossing his arms across his chest.Â
âI-Iâm sorry?â you stammer out. âThere isnât a problem.âÂ
You turn to Seila to back you up, but sheâs already more than halfway across the balcony on her way to the door. You watch her retreating back as you try to summon your courage and control your breathing a little better.
âSeems to be one,â Wolffe argues. âAt first I thought you just had a problem with clones, but you get along fine with Rex and Gregor. So, I want to know what your issue is with me. Did you think I hadnât noticed the staring? Or how you go as far away from me as you can whenever I get near you? So, what is it?â
You shake your head quickly.
âThere isnât a problem,â you repeat a little more believably this time. âI⌠I just.â
He looks at you expectantly, and you know he isnât going to walk away until you give him an answer he is satisfied with. All the words youâve practiced in your head, all the things youâve been dying to say to him disappear. This isnât how this was supposed to go.
You take a deep breath and try again.
âI promise, I donât have a problem with you,â you tell him. âWeâve met before. During the warâŚthe last war.â
Itâs Wolffeâs turn to look at you confused and a little shocked. His eyes trace your face as he searches his memory for you, and you blush under the intensity of it.
âI donât expect you to remember me, but you personally saved my life while the 104th was helping evacuate citizens. I had gotten separated from my group by a collapsing pile of rubble. Super Battle Droids were advancing near where I had taken refuge.â
Dark smoke and cloudy debris filled your lungs as you hid behind a pile of what used to be your neighborâs wall. The constant clanking of metal feet came from what felt like every direction. You were cornered with only a solid wall behind you. You had known that no one was going to risk coming back for you, and you had accepted that you were just going to be another casualty of the war.Â
Blaster bolts rained from above you, holding the droids at bay but not stopping them. You had barely heard his voice calling for cover fire over the chaos of it all. He landed with a sharp thud from his boots behind you like an angel of death returning fire on the enemy. His arm wrapped around your waist unceremoniously as he screamed for you to hold on. And hold on you had. You grabbed onto him like some damsel in a holofilm as he brought you out of the carnage by his ascension cable.⌠only your dirty, tear-stained face has looked much less glamorous reflected in the dark visor of his helmet than any of the leading ladies.
Everything after that had become a blur of clones rushing you to safety and back toward the evacuating civilians. You had asked a passing clone trooper at the campsite what the name of the man who saved you was, only to find out that it was the commander of the battalion himself.Â
âI do remember you.â Wolffeâs face and tone shifts from defensive to something you can almost call affectionate. âYouâve grown up. Youâre not a dirty, scared teenager stuck in a warzone anymore.â
âWell, it has been a while.â You laugh and finally meet his mis-matched eyes again. âI kept up with you through any scrap of news we got over the radio. I even kept up with the list of troopers killed or missing to make sure you werenât among them. I was always happy not to see CC-3636 listed.â
His face softens and a shaky breath leaves him. âI still have your letter.âÂ
You had asked around for any bit of flimsi to write out your thanks to the Commander. You knew you would probably never see him again, and he was much too busy to be bothered by some civvy bursting into their camp to thank him for saving your life. He probably rappelled down to save scared citizens every other week, and heâd never get anything done if you all were annoying him. You hadnât said much in it⌠like now, you hadnât really known what to say, but you had slipped it to one of the passing troopers and asked that he give it to Commander Wolffe.
âBeing a clone trooper was a thankless job most of the time. It was easy to get jaded watching your brothers die for a Republic that didnât give a rat's ass about them,â Wolffe says, softly. He rubs the back of his neck and looks away from you as if he was the one struggling to find the right words now.Â
âBut your letter kept me going on those days when I got angry or bitter because at least one person in the galaxy was thankful for what we were doing,â he continues. âAt least one person cared if we lived or died, and that got me picking up my blaster every time. I wanted the galaxy safe for you. I had to tape it back together near the end because it had worn thin from how many times I read over it.â
You swallow past the lump in your throat as you fight the tears that try to fall. It was quite something to learn that you were one of the things that kept the man who had saved your life going in the middle of hell.Â
âIâm glad youâre here, Wolffe.â
âMe too, Cyarâika,â he says, wiping a stray tear from your cheek. He gives you a cheeky grin. âSomeone has to look out for you.â

i yearn to see more of my handsome muscular âcaptain traitorâ on my screen đ
the clones make me insane. people who are told they're machines built for war, born without rights to live without individuality to die without distinction, who still prove their humanity/personhood at every chance they get? im an intellectual and emotional puddle on the floor about them
