Coping Statements for Anxiety
It is often possible to manage anxiety by actively replacing irrational thoughts with more balanced and reasonable thoughts like the following:
1. I’m going to be OK. Sometimes my feelings are irrational and false. I’m just going to relax and take things easy. Everything is going to be fine.
2. Anxiety may feel bad but it isn’t dangerous. There’s nothing wrong with me. Everything is going to be OK.
3. Feelings come and feelings go. Right now I feel bad but I know this is only temporary. I’ve done it before so I can do it again.
4. This image in my head isn’t reasonable or rational. I need to change my thinking and focus my attention on something that’s healthier, and generally helps me to feel good about myself. For example _____________.
5. I’ve managed to interrupt and change these thoughts before – so I know I can do it again. The more I practise this, the easier it will become. Anxiety is a habit – and it’s a habit I can break!
6. So what if I am anxious. It’s not the end of the world. It’s not going to kill me. I just need to take a few deep breaths and keep going.
7. Just take the next step. Just do the next thing.
8. Even if I have to put up with a period of anxiety, I’ll be glad that I did, and persevered, and succeeded.
9. I can feel anxious and still do a good job. The more I focus on the task at hand, the more my anxiety will ease, then disappear.
10. Anxiety doesn’t have a hold on me. It’s something I’m working on, and changing over time.
i honestly believe human beings are not meant to live like this. we are meant to live in loving communities and be around nature every day and grow our own food and create art and not work day and night until we die. this longing for another life is not human nature, it’s a symptom of modern society.
Going to try to go Vegan...
I am going to try to transition to Vegan. It's a long term goal, not gonna lie. I have a freezer full of food that I am not going to waste.
I have just given up eggs for now. I am trying different breakfast stuff. I am going to give up milk next. Then CHEESE (Give me strength).I know sour cream will be difficult, because I put it on my vegetarian Chipotle dishes, tacos and all other appropriate dishes.
After I have successfully given up eggs and dairy, I'll start giving up meats. I almost never eat pork, so that's first. Then I'll try giving up poultry. Then I'll give up beef (I love steak). Lastly, I'll give up seafood.
Tips are welcome!

First vegetarian meal of the day, my leftover creamy spinach pasta with stringed veggies and sliced avocado. I don't know about you guys, but since I've started this challenge I've noticed that restaurants don't offer a lot of options to those who's diet doesn't consist of meat. I went to eat with my family and there wasn't a single meatless option, so I order this spinach chicken Alfredo, no chicken, sub for veggies. Like &share if you would also like to see restaurants offer more options in the future!
GUYS. I JUST DISCOVERED VEGGIE BURGERS AND THEY'RE AMAZINGGGG. I've been struggling with the moral dilemma of eating animals for quite some time now, and have been hunched over my phone screen watching other people take the steps to do what they thought was right, while claiming that it was too difficult for me to obtain for years. But no more, I am now challenging myself (And anyone else who wishes to participate) to attempt some vegetarian meals and just educate yourself on the options taht are out there, because I know I sure am. 🌼🌻🌺🌼🌻🌺
