Rant coming. Will hurt your white feelings. I do not care.

I hate white failures. I know different cards can be stacked against you from economic class to access to education, but when white people fail I feel like they just didn’t try at all. The cheat code is literally written on your skin. Achieve something. Anything.

Impoverished Black kids join gangs for a number of reasons – need for a family, protection against a violent neighborhood, hopelessness about the future, etc – and it sucks.

That white boy WAS BORN RICH AND JOINED A GANG for no reason. To like…play at being hood or whatever. He got to have his Thug Life Fantasy for a few months. Now someone is dead, and he can resume his rich white boy life on the path to becoming a lawyer. He had a marked deck handed to him and still lost the biggest hand. But he gets to play the game again. We NEVER get do overs. We get dealt crappy hands and have to play that hand with as much strategy as we can and it’s STILL a gamble. We do everything right and still HOPE for the best.

He had a Royal Flush. And still needed a re-do.

I’m so mad at this and everything. I can’t tell you how many unqualified white people have been promoted over me, how many white friends have gotten into major trouble that would’ve derailed my whole life. WATCHING WHITE PRIVILEGE WORK IS SO FUCKING EXHAUSTING.

I feel sick. I feel SICK man. Nothing is remotely fair, balanced, equal, or anything. And white people just ignore it. Like it’s not a thing. Like “oh I deserved all of what I have” and we’re like “I DID THE EXACT SAME THINGS AS YOU THO AND I HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT.”

Gotta be honest, it does not feel like much of a presumption in your case.

It can sometimes be a little more subtle than that! Here are a few examples:

- “I hope this POC character, the only POC community leader ever to appear on this show in nine seasons, dies and leaves my white Queen to be leader instead!” - “I hope this POC character dies because I personally view him as minor and unimportant (because representation means fuck-all to me), and in my world it’s totes ok for POC characters to be killed off at a rapid clip to further the main (read: white) storylines!” - “Because this POC character is so obviously minor and unimportant, his whole storyline must just be a distraction from White OTP Endgame!” - “Because this POC character is so obviously minor and unimportant, anyone who ships him with my white fave is just doing it to annoy me!” - “My white fave obviously would never find this POC character attractive, despite the fact that he is objectively attractive!” - “My white fave obviously would never want a relationship with this POC character, despite the fact that he treats her well and pursues her and wins her trust and respect over a two-to-three season arc!”

And in the Maybe Not Racist, But Still Quite Possibly Racist categories:

Not even a little bit. It’s not racist to ship C@ryl, it’s not racist to be annoyed if Carzekiel goes canon, and it’s not even racist to straight up dislike Ezekiel’s character.

But come on.

There are an awful lot of people gleefully cheering for a strong black character’s death or marginalization rather than simply hoping that Zeke and Carol break up.

There are an awful lot of people who honest to God think it’s an injustice that something they wanted to happen on a television show might not happen.

@the anon coming back in my ask box, saying “so we are calling out racism because Khary is being harassed, but no one is caring about MMB, Norman, or Diane being harassed because they’re white?”

I can’t believe I’m again forced to answer to this, but I shall, I so shall.

1) no one was talking about mmb, Norman, or Diane. The subject was people being RACIST TOWARDS A BLACK ACTOR AND HIS BLACK CHARACTER AND THE INTERRECIAL SHIP. That’s the issue. Period. DONT MIX OTHER UNRELATED TOPICS CAUSE YOU DONT HAVE ARGUMENTS LEFT.

2) no one said that we don’t care about Melissa, Norman, or Diane. Don’t understand where you even pulled that out from? Like??? Where did I post I don’t care? Proof? You can’t prove it cause I DO care, if you must know, I do, and if I saw a post about it, I’d reblog it as well.

3) and ALSO, last time I checked, it’s c@ryl shippers harassing these three because they’re so obsessed with the ship that they can’t stand Norman to have a life and other girlfriends and are crazy about it, molesting and harassing them all. So maybe that’s also your job to call that out, instead of mixing this up with something that has NOTHING to do with it.

4) you obviously don’t have any arguments other than being “bohoooo so we don’t care about white people?? I want attention too!!” — are those comments racist comments ????? NO. People are just crazy and can’t accept that actors have a private life and harass them. IT. HAS. NOTHING. TO. DO. WITH. RACISM. OR. THIS. TOPIC. WHATSOEVER.

5) make a post about people harassing those three, tag me, and i shall reblog it at once. Cause, just because I DARED to care about a black character for five seconds, you felt so neglected, cause, equal rights, right?? (You sound like those pathetic “white lives matter too” people. Because apparently you didn’t understand what this is about and what racism means, but I won’t explain that to you, I’m not your mother, maybe try google). But you should know, that i care about those three as well, and don’t ignore it. But the topic now was RACISM. And I can’t say anything about racism if I’m not defending every other white person on this planet simultaneously apparently. Do you see how ridiculous you’re being?

6) just admit that you’re butthurt over people calling out stuff that screams racism, and you’re offended cause you might share those thoughts and are scared of being called out. Im sorry about this, but if this doesn’t apply to you, then you’re NOT addressed. The world doesn’t revolve around you. Tragic, I know. But I guess its why you’re so mad at us that you feel the need to keep sending @canoncannon and me these asks.

Negan literally has NO redeeming qualities. The fact that people have to scrape the bottom of the barrel and make up completely erroneous and/or irrelevant so called “redeeming” ones only proves how much he doesn’t have them. Plus, the fact that they can be easily disproven with logic and reasoning is proof that people will ignore it to try to justify Negan’s actions.

You can think Negan/JDM is attractive all you want, but don’t pretend that Negan is the epitome of morality and righteousness because he’s not. He’s not this messiah-like figure saving people out of the goodness of his heart. His only motivations are greed and self-interest. I don’t care about his “my wife, who I cheated on multiple times, got cancer and I’m sad that I couldn’t put her down” excuse for using violence and terror to subjugate people. That’s such a fucking pathetic and weak-ass attempt by the writers and Robert Kirkman. There are plenty of other characters who have been through worse and still didn’t end up like him.
