Here’s the second of our members’ confessions. This time, it’s Riji (@absolutemathman) who wishes to share his experiences. He has been on Museqours for a very long time: he joined the 14th of August 2016, a day after Museqours was created!
As I'm sitting here, I'm wondering if I should be writing this directly into the chatbox or if I should first write a mockup version of this text in a text file. Because, man, I have _a lot_ to say towards the experiences I've had in this group for the past year. You could almost say I'm at a short of words, paradoxically.
At any rate, as one of the oldest regular members of Museqours, I joined only a few days after this group was created in the first place, somewhere around the 17th or 18th of August, 2016. Back then, I decided to follow one of my best friends, @cutebunnys50, along to talk to some new people in this group. For that choice I've made, I'm still 100% grateful. I remember that, at the time of joining, the mods alone accounted for nearly half of the amount of people. Even fewer people than there are currently in this channel, I believe. But I could immediately tell that the people who were actively participating in the group were friendly, cheerful, helpful and compassionate people, which made me feel accepted; something I was only rarely able to experience previously on the internet. Given the fact that I've been living practically online since 2009, you can imagine that this group had a significantly positive impact on my view of closed groups of people online.
That being said, I have been active on this Slack almost daily since I joined, both as an result and as a goal of having close friends. It's the Love Live franchise that binds us on paper, but through thick and thin, my history in this group has amounted to so, so much more. We have had tons of fun sharing and enjoying each other's shared, or even self-created pieces of art in #artnwrite, had heated discussions in #opinions, and massively looked for and provided help among us in #advice. For all of that (and much more), I'm deeply grateful, and I hope, nay, I _strive_ for an even better future of this group for the sake of my friends, the future people who join this group, and generally for anyone who has good memories in this cosy companionship.
