I can't believe I am using the word "aside". But aside from Joe Hisaishi's beautiful use of chords and his talent for composing heart-touching melodies, what I love the most about this recording is the children's choir. 

They are like little angels of music.

And seriously, this piece. The ending half of the 8:31min video is of the audience applauding.

Charles Ives - Central Park in the Dark

Charles Ives was known as a composer before his time. For this piece, he sat in Central Park in the dark and composed this piece based on sounds he heard from all over Central Park (Because it's in a very busy area). Listen to it closely, you can hear some jazz pieces played.

It sounds really creepy though. But that's why I love it.

I first listened to this piece during a music elective programme test which I did badly in (haha).

I think I will stop with my Astor Piazzolla post spree. I just realised that I would be spamming my blog.

So from now on, I will post in queue.

I won't always post in a theme though but today was an Astor Piazzolla day for me and so I posted Piazzolla.

Anyway, this is probably Piazzolla's most well-known tango.

This is a different kind of dramatic from my previous. I feel that this compilation is my favourite compilation as it is strong but mellow at the same time.

You can really hear the contrast between the different parts overlapping each other like waves of the ocean, the strong rhythm, haunting melody.

Autumn is my favourite of Piazzolla's Four Seasons and this has got to be my favourite rendition of Piazzolla's Autumn.

Mostly going to post music that I listen to everyday ranging from classical to classical pop, metal, pop, jazz, etc. Everything.
