So for our GCSE work in music we do compositions based around an area of study. I chose Programme Music of the Romantic period, which means the music is based of an image, scene, or poem. This is my final composition, and it's based around waves.

I can't believe I am using the word "aside". But aside from Joe Hisaishi's beautiful use of chords and his talent for composing heart-touching melodies, what I love the most about this recording is the children's choir.
They are like little angels of music.
And seriously, this piece. The ending half of the 8:31min video is of the audience applauding.
It's beautiful. 'Nuff said.

My favorite section from Mussorgsky's Pictures At An Exhibition, interestingly it was originally written for piano, it was only after Ravel orchestrated this piece decades after it's creation that it has obtained it's more prestigious status.
