i have (very slowly lol) been compiling the non-shino/eugene/yamagi comments from the ibo character complete book, and a caption written under almiria's original design from ito sent me on a side quest

since she's gaelio's sister, i drew her to look similar to him. at first, i was told that only the upper class wears skirts, so i gave her a skirt. i wonder how she is doing nowadays? the [ibo] comic artist, kazuma isobe, posted a drawing of almiria in montag's mask seemingly having fun as a phantom thief on social media. it was so good. i hope she keeps at it.

(as i am terminally online brained, i think the last two lines might be better read as like, "that owns, i hope she's living her best life"-kind of thing)

went on twitter and found it. isobe wondered if this is what almiria's future could be like, and asks what will become of todo and the montag company? after character complete came out, he later reposted it and also posted another piece he made of the same concept.

ito commented she liked his use of the morning glory!

he has a huge media tab, but isobe has some other ibo illustrations he posted on social media in the past, like eugene babysitting or rather getting sat on by akatsuki and flauros yelling shino's name after ep 45:

The Orphanchu book is making the internet rounds again so I was inspired.

If, for example, you look at Shino's trading card art, you'll see him run the gamut from cocky, to goofily macho, to genuinely kind. And those are all facets of him as a character, very succinctly conveyed, such that you can tell what way he's approaching somebody else depending on which smile he's wearing.

I don't know if that is the right way to describe what I mean, or if I have a point beyond 'isn't animation cool?', but hey, it's an excuse to post this little collection of grabbed images, including the ones where Shino appears to *only* be wearing a goofy macho grimace (I'm sure he'd be very happy about that).

...I feel I would be remiss if I didn't also include the ones for Akihiro, which, while less pertinent to my point, do confirm that, yes, plenty of the official art of these guys is of them shirtless.
