I’m going to reblog this here, too. Even though I mostly post Condy stuff, this is supposed to be a general UT/DR AU blog. So here is my OC of an OC some of you may have seen floating around!
Originally, he was just a throwaway villain I needed for a couple of RP scenes and then I was going to shove him back in the closet, but shenanigans happened and he slowly creeped from a generic Killer!Sans (credit to Rahafwabas) into his own thing.
Now he is Breaker, a former “killer,” who changed his identity and ran away from Nightmare after he became tangled up in Magusverse drama. He can typically be found in a Magusverse ( @xfr3eax @magusverse ) alternate timeline he accidentally created with his DT, or in Sunny’s flower field ( @asksunflower ).
He’s mostly still Killer but his personality is a little more wild, mischievous/playful and manipulative. His most defining traits are that he almost never explains anything, he’s a cynical mean boy, and is unhelpful whenever possible. He always has an ulterior motive but still says things like “why does everyone always think I have a plan?” when called out. Gaslighting people is his default, even with people he’s close to, and only a small handful have been able to get straight answers from him. Even then, it’s hard to tell when he’s being honest or just pulling another trick.
Key differences between Breaker and Killer:
- Breaker has a fully flushed out family background with his baby bro making a few appearances as his own OC, too.
- Breaker does not have multiple personalities, as has been implied in a few OG Killer comics. The only difference in his “sane” and “insane” personas is how much empathy he can feel.
- I don’t know if it is outright stated in OG Killer canon, but I have heard people claim he is haunted by Chara and Frisk. Breaker is not literally haunted; anytime he has discussions with his Chara and Frisk, he is talking to hallucinations.
- Breaker’s Color!Sans ( @superyoumna ) was murdered by Nightmare. He has never fully processed or mourned this loss and it shows up in a lot of his relationships with others.
- While his DT and Nightmare’s magic has a huge impact on his physical ability to feel, his major underlying condition is a trauma response to Chara and Nightmare using him to hurt people.
