I think it’s disappointing that so many people will do anything to bash on the series. Whether they heavily mischaracterize their canon characters, lie about plot holes to make the writing seem extremely bad, or heavily downplay the scaling of the verse as an excuse to hate on people that do like to scale a women-dominant show. Regardless, I believe that stats aren’t truly everything within battleboarding, & everyone is free to mix & match their own versions of the verses scaling as long as it’s backed up by credible evidence & isn’t used to bash on any fans who aren’t scalers, which is super common on tiktok & reddit.

“What are some takes about the verse you disagree with?”

I do heavily disagree with some takes such as the verse being outerversal, or the characters having universal durability, or them having average human - building blunt durability.

“Where do you scale the verse in terms of durability?”

I usually scale the major cast to large planetary in blunt durability. In piercing durability, I have them at street level which will be explained here (TBA). 85% of fiction also tends to follow these rules regarding piercing durability anyways, so… yeah.

Tessa’s fall lasted for atleast 9.0 seconds, although it was possibly longer.

We can put this into omni’s free fall calculator in order to find the distance & speed. This is 397.169m & 88.26m/s (possibly 88.29m/s too) or 197.43mph (subsonic). N needed to be much faster than this to catch Tessa.

The weight of the average human adult woman is 62.0 kg across the world. Alternatively, I’ll use Uzi’s estimated weight (54.0166183704kg) & a version with Tessa & N’s estimated weight combined (62.0kg + 98.0859684346kg = 160.086kg).

Using just the weight of the average human adult woman (62.0kg):

241319.88 joules (wall)

Using Uzi’s estimated weight & assuming Tessa is the same (54.0166183704kg):

210246.52 joules (wall)

Using the weight of the average human adult woman (62.0) + N’s estimated weight (98.0859684346kg) = (160.086kg):

623095.73 joules (wall)

Using the weight of the average human adult woman (62.0) + Uzi or N’s estimated weight assuming there’s are equivalent to Lizzy & Thad’s (although it should be slightly higher) (The average weight of a car is anywhere between 1,400kg - 2,000kg) = (1462kg - 2062kg):

5690478.56 joules - 8025832.28 joules (wall)

(This is a extremely lowball calculation). In episode 3 a landing pod falls onto copper 9’s surface & a worker drone dodges it.

We know that one landing pod housed J & Tessa while the one that crash-land didn’t have anyone. This means that it didn’t have anyone to slow the ship down, & was likely going at max speeds which would be FTL+ - MFTL+. Cyn did this with the intent to purposely crash them since J’s part of the plan later on was to destroy all the other extra spaceships across copper 9 to prevent any possible drone from escaping the future events of episode 8. Since there are no pilots, this means that there was no one to stop the spaceship from slowing down.

Furthermore, the spaceship was very likely coming from another solar system within the end of episode 1 - end of episode 3 timeframe (anywhere from a few days to at most, a month) as Cyn would have no reason to keep the spaceship nearby copper 9 with the context of J’s deal & the massive timeframe in-between Cyn sending the DDs to present-day (20 years).

Context from episodes 1 & 6, behind the scenes information, & (although flimsy) graphic novel information further confirms this. However, we won’t be focussed on that & instead will opt for a more lowballed calculation. One that downplays the scaling for the downplayers while also staying accurate. Additionally in space, acceleration keeps continuously increasing. However, we’ll ignore acceleration being increased as it falls onto copper 9.

SHIP’S SPEED:

Starting from the frame where the “star” representing the ship is first visible right as the camera pans upwards.

Boundary of space / Kármán line) (100km):

100km / 2.4s = 93205.7mph (Massively Hypersonic)

Converted to m/s: 41666.676128m/s

This was how fast the ship was going. However, this does not entirely scale to his dodging speed.

WORKER‘S MOVEMENT TIME FOR THE LANDING POD:

Within this 2.4 second total timeframe, it took them 0.5 seconds to jump out the way. They react in time to dodge the side-front of the ship & the whole leg. Additionally, falling backwards is 5ft - 7ft so we’ll use 6ft, but it’s important to keep in mind that the worker jump-launched himself from behind, so the real distance could be anywhere from 6ft - 10ft. This also makes sense as the workers are (possibly, but seemingly) lightweight.

The ship was around the height of the building to the side by the time the worker started to move to dodge. Thanks to a single frame where the worker disappears due to a animation error, we can see the building on the left has 18 floors with likely 2 more floors at ground level from the next frame. The average building with 20 floors is 200ft - 300ft tall. We’ll use 300ft due to this being a lowball calculation.

The formula is: (Distance the character moved in meters) x (Speed of projectile in meters/s) / (Distance the projectile was away from the character when he/she started to move in meters)

Distance the character (the worker drone) moved in meters would be 6ft or 1.8288m. For 8ft, this would be 2.4384m.

Speed of projectile (the landing pod) in this case would be 41666.676128m/s.

-Results-

USING THE 300FT - WD DODGED 6FT:

Distance the projectile was away from the worker would be 300ft or 91.44m.

So we get (1.8288) x (41666.676128) / (91.44) = 833.33352256m/s or 1864.114mph (Supersonic - Mach 2.43)

USING THE 300FT - WD DODGED 8FT:

(2.4384) x (41666.676128) / (91.44) = May be incorrect but 1111.11136 m/s or 2485.485325698mph (Supersonic+ - Mach 3.24)

USING THE 200FT + WD DODGED 6FT.

Distance the projectile was away from the worker would be 200ft or 60.96m.

So we get (1.8288) x (41666.676128) / (60.96m) = 1250.00028384m/s or 2796.171mph (Supersonic+ - Mach 3.64)

USING THE 200FT + WD DODGED 8FT:

(2.4384) x (41666.676128) / (60.96m) = 1666.66704512m/s or 3728.228mph (Supersonic+ - Mach 4.86)

VERSE-CONSISTENCY:

Even if we completely ignore attack speed scaling such as the physical attack speeds that V & J deal + lightbeam scaling + NULL scaling, + black hole side scaling + or some of the very niche onscreen travel speed feats within the verse…

This supersonic - supersonic+ scaling is actually very consistent with the more minor calculations of the verse. Some examples include:

Doll manually creating her shields to block V’s bullets & N’s missile (supersonic+ - hypersonic)

N flying up to Uzi in episode 4 which is done casually (supersonic - hypersonic+). Although one calc gets this to massively hypersonic.

Beau dodging bullets in episode 6 (subsonic+)

N flying to push Uzi in episode 7 which is done casually (high hypersonic+)

For the less minor (but not major + downplayed edition-) -calculations of the verse, high hypersonic - massively hypersonic - relativistic seems to be the most consistent.

How does this compare to downplayed editions of other verses?

In Murder Drones Episode 7, Cyn (while controlling Uzi) while in the cabin fever labs cathedral teleports to N.

Uzi (while being controlled by Cyn) vanishes before teleporting, making this at lowest, subsonic - subsonic+.

When Uzi / Cyn glows yellow, the debris moving up & slightly towards N‘s direction already appears before she starts moving.

Uzi / Cyn also makes a shockwave before & while being seen visibly moving (which I believe you need to be faster than speed of sound in the air, which is 343m/s), making this feat possibly transonic or higher.

Cyn while actually moving towards N then creates 2 additional shockwaves.

When Mitchell enters the cathedral, we can see he takes 2 steps per tile but there’s space inbetween. Additionally, if you compared one of the other employees left foot to the tile he’s standing on, the whole title is 4ft.

In this frame from N’s view, there’s 9 or 10 tiles (including the ones N & Uzi are standing on). Since 1 tile = 4ft.

9 x 4 = 36ft

10 x 4 = 40ft.

Finding distance:

I’m entirely assuming the distance between N & Uzi here is 45ft or 50ft.

Finding time:

The scene (starting from Uzi vanishing, to Uzi appearing towards N) is 0.1, 0.2 & 0.3 seconds, moreso 0.2 & 0.3.

Results: (Distance / time = speed)

36ft:

36ft / 0.2s = 122.73mph (Subsonic)

36ft / 0.3s = 81.82mph (Subsonic)

36ft / 0.4s = 61.36mph (Superhuman)

40ft:

40ft / 0.2s = 136.36mph (Subsonic)

40ft / 0.3s = 90.9mph (Subsonic)

The clip lasts for 0.7 seconds.

The diameter of 1 snowflake is 38px. The diameter of a snowflake typically ranges from 0.5 cm to 2.5 cm (0.2 to 1 inch) for standard individual crystals.

Using the 0.5cm:

38px / 0.5cm = 76cm per pixel

Using the 2.5cm:

38px / 2.5cm = 15.2cm per pixel

Taking the beginning & end frames, overlaying them & measuring the same snowflake, we can see it traveled 30px in 0.8 seconds.

J traveled 805px.

Assuming the snowflake had the diameter of 0.5cm: 76 X 30px = the snowflake traveled 2280cm.

76 X 805px = J traveled 61180cm

Speed: 61180cm / 0.8s = 764.8m/s or 1710.7mph (Mach 2.23 | Supersonic)

Now we can account for V saving Uzi. She moved 1102px.

76 X 1102px = V traveled 83,752cm

Speed: 83,752cm / 0.8s = 1047m/s or 2342mph (Mach 3.05 | Supersonic+)

Update: I remembered that there was multiple planetary shockwaves happening in this scene too so the snowflakes in real time are moving much faster, so I’m assuming this gets a 2x multiplier.

J moving: 764.8m/s or 1710.7mph (x 2) = 1529.6m/s or 3421.4mph (Mach 4.46 | Supersonic+)

V saving Uzi: 1047m/s or 2342mph (x 2) = 2094m/s or 4684mph (Mach 6.10 | Hypersonic)

Now we can account for V saving Uzi. She moved 1102px.

15.2 X 1102px = V traveled 16,750.4cm.

Speed: 16,750.4cm / 0.8s = 209.4m/s or 468.4mph (Subsonic+)

Update: I remembered that there was multiple planetary shockwaves happening in this scene too so the snowflakes in real time are moving much faster, so I’m assuming this gets a 2x multiplier.

J moving: 152.95m/s or 342.14mph (x 2) = 305.9m/s or 684.28mph (Subsonic+)

V saving Uzi: 209.4m/s or 468.4mph (x 2) = 418.8m/s or 936.8mph (Mach 1.22 | Supersonic)

V fires 2 bullets to destroy 2 elevator cables in the end of issue 4.

The AP of V’s bullet is likely .45-70 to .300 Winchester Magnum tier because those are the bullets that last got blocked and first got through an elevator cable on the first YouTube result of "elevator cables getting shot at".

This is a list of (my own) calculations on the graphic novel version of the verse. I will also be gathering a few calcs not made by me. Keep in mind that the graphic novel mischaracterizes, changes & removes many things in the story due to it being an adaptation & having a very low page limit. It also has a different writer. Therefore, it is considered a entirely different canon to the Murder Drones series.

Finding the mass of the NULL:

Using the Schwarzschild Radius shown here (& in the image below) & plugging the information about the NULL size in this calculator, we can find the mass of this NULL.

The NULL that Uzi lifted has a Schwarzschild Radius of 0.0384123 meters. According to the calculator, this NULL has a mass of approximately 2.5862827226969315308701e+22 metric tons or 4.3305 earths or 2.5862827226969315308700538e+25 kg.

Assumes that Copper 9 is the same size as earth, earth has a equatorial diameter of 12,756km.

Copper 9’s diameter (red & dark blue line): 598px or 600px

12,756km / 598px = 21.3311km per pixel.

12,756km / 600px = 21.26km per pixel.

The beam lasted for 2630px.

2630px X 21.3311km per pixel = 56,100.8km

2630px X 21.26km per pixel = 55,913.8km

Finding time:

The light beam appeared on Frame 12858 and reached it's full length on Frame 12861.

12861 - 12858 = 3 Frames

The video is running at 30 fps, meaning 3 frames is 0.1 seconds.

We can plug in the speed from this calc & the mass of Uzi’s hand sized NULLs from an old calculation (approximately 2.5862827226969315308701e+22 metric tons or 4.3305 earths or 2.5862827226969315308700538e+25 kg via black hole scaling) in order to find the KE.

Results:

Using the 598px result (56,100.8km):

56100.8km / 0.1s = 561008000m/s or 1254939155mph (FTL - 1.871321c)

Alternatively if we use frames to find the time: it takes more or less 13 frames for it to hit Cyn. Murder Drones is in 30fps so that’s 0.4333 seconds.

Finding distance:

Uzi’s is canonically 136 cm tall (4'6") (with beanie and hair), or 1.36 meters tall.

Worker drones are… light?:

Tessa can lift & swing around manor N with ease, but can also lift a statue back into place. A complete suit of plate armour (from the late middle ages) from well-tempered steel would weigh around 15–25 kg (33–55 lb) (below average human). Specialised jousting armour produced in the late 15th to 16th century was heavier, and could weigh as much as 50 kg (110 lb) (average human).

On the other hand, we have seen Uzi and N slide V out of the way a couple times, making a heavy-sounding metal grinding noise on the ground. Additionally, in episode 6 all the items in the room floated (including the oven & Beau) besides Uzi, Alice & V who are regular drones.

Lizzy & Thad might be the on par or heavier than the weight of a car:

In episode 7 when gravity returns, we can see they fall much faster than the 2 cars on both sides of them. The average weight of a car is anywhere between 1,400kg - 2,000kg (class 5). Due to this, I believe it’s fair to use 1,400kg as a weight within calcs as a highball.

In the end of episode 5, Doll (possibly) teleports from the bunker all the way to the lake by cabin fever labs & nearby camp 98.7.

However, we know this teleport was likely not instant since Doll has consistently shown only using short to mid ranged distanced teleportation. Additionally if Uzi, N & V were trying to catch up to her, they would’ve had to also exit the bunker first & travel that whole distance to camp 98.7, then look for her there (since they had no clue that cabin fever labs was by the lake, had to follow both Tessa & J to find it, & were surprised) until they eventually found her at the lake.

So the possible solutions are that Doll slowly (short bursts of continuous short to mid ranged teleportation) (Uzi also had to save N & V first which took 1 minute & 43 seconds) or quickly (one teleportation) teleported the distance to camp 98.7, then mid ranged teleportation the rest onto the lake, where Uzi, N & V would’ve catched up by then. We’ll calc both
