For example; if the people are killed and the land is neither barren or empty of wild-life they will reincarnate as an animal personification of the land (most intelligent/apex predator) or as the most abundant plant life waiting for humanity to come along. Permanent death is only possible if life is not present otherwise they just lose their memories via reincarnation.

As humanoid personifications adapting is everything, if you don’t adapt to the new people or culture you’re gone. If the people already have a representative personification then you’ll be able to live with them (Italy’s, Germany&Prussia, etc), unless they actively reject you and try to snuff out every attempt of adapting.

For me little England was once little Britannia (Major. Wales is Minor, but in truth they’re both Britannia), formerly known as Albion south-east, but was required to either snuff out the new people or adapt to their ways if he wanted to survive. Meaning, it’s likely that many of the nations have been alive from even before their current people/name. This would also explain why N. Ireland is considered older than England, though his state not existing ‘til much earlier. To me he, Northern Ireland, was once just Ulster or any-other-name tribe of people.

For me:

Albion North (Alba): Scotland, fighting & adapting, adapted to the Scoti of Ireland (their name)

Albion South-West (Cymru): Wales, a lot of fighting and a bit of adapting to keep himself-himself

Albion South-East (Iceni): England, fight, adapting-adapting-adapting, “Who am I even? Am I protestant or am I catholic? Iceni? Who’s that?”
