I dont think its even true because she is not his type, considering Vanessa is basically isa's counter part. and im very particular about my headcanons being most likely to the canon of whatever I am participating in- if that makes sense.

I just think it'd be interesting, especially because hes always playing wingman and possess that wisdom none of the other kids (or sometimes adults) in the show has. so he probably knows its better shes with phineas or that its impossible shed ever like him. especially if we're considering that joke in "its about time" Where shes kind of weirded out of the idea of marrying ferb one day after Candace suggests it.

idk i think it would be cute, though. I think ferb appreciates isabella's cuteness but not in a literal way like phineas.

speaking of which, it kind of pisses me off when people take the joke of phineas being completely oblivious literally and start like HATING him. luckily it doesn't happen much anymore but before covid?? Jesus. like hes a 10 year old kid, of course hes not going to develop crushes yet 😭 like girls mature faster than boys and on top of that, isa is a bit older than phineas. keep in mind these kids are growing up in a world where their screentime is only sick day video games and daily TV in the dinosaur in the living room.

bottom line, I think if they rewrote phineas and ferb today they'd get rid of the ferb liking Vanessa storyline bc of how controversial it is, (although im indifferent to it) and rewrite it so ferb has a small crush on isabella.
