My Friend Ostrich Who Has Many Legs.
@elodieunderglass so many fine legs!
[ID: Art of a pink and unique bird. Blurring and blended like watercolor on a smooth page, a hunched torso bells in reddish pink that lightens at the tail. The neck swoops down and back up, darkening from red to black with a small tuft of red emerging upward from the otherwise smooth throat. The head at the end of the neck is limned in red, smoothing the more jagged edges of the black, with a tall, narrow head in profile and the red fill giving the medium-length bill a downward hook. A single solid white eye is visible. Extending down from the torso, most faintly watercolored with sketchy, speckled red dry brushed over, are at least six avian legs (very faint lines from the torso either suggest movement or further legs, further away). The joints are dark knobs of red. Most of the sketchily painted, large, clawed feet are obscured by the dull mauve pink, warm purple, and indigo blue grass the bird is stepping through. One foot is raised, however, just under the neck, and the four-toed appendage hovers, mid-step, claws delicately curling. /end ID]
Thank you for such a beautiful description. It's so.. precise.
